[X][BLESSING] Beacon of Radiance: It is not enough to merely stand on the field of battle, you must be the center of attention! Makes you easier to notice when you are not actively concealing yourself, and makes you look more dangerous of a target--drawing attacks to you... And by extension, away from more vulnerable allies. Also has a modest boost to your social efforts when in armor

Hmm since companions are allowed we dilefinately want to raise Horsemanship to be able to fight effectively with Bradamante. What kind of night can fight in horseback properly :V

So pumping Combat up to 7 and all of our non-combat skills to 4 minimum takes 124 zeal if I did the math right. That's obviously a problem if we want enough zeal for the tourney.

Reinald would definitely advise you keep at least 20 on hand for an emergency Finale on the way there or back.

You're not technically at penalties right now due to the spurs. Upping Combat would also necessitate upping Horsemanship to avoid them, though.

[X][BLESSING] Mastery of the Blade: You are the Blade, and the Blade is you--extends the benefits of Knightly Armor to your readied weapon, making it capable of resisting (Though not piercing and otherwise damaging) Steel, and renders you nearly immune to being disarmed or your weapon broken.

For people who are trying to figure out how to rules lawyer this stuff, don't think of it that way.

Instead, think of it this way.

Each Armor Blessing is engraving a Truth about Audrey Eotenslaga into the prosthetic exoskeleton that the Knightly Armor is.

Each one is declaring a different Truth, and overcoming that requires some serious firepower--on par with a Rewrite from a Norseman with master level Hugr. These are neither cheap nor spammable by definition.

It does what it says it will do, no more, and No Less

To clarify, a rewrite is an ability that master level hugr Norsemen have to change the rules of the game to be what they want. It can only affect one rule at a time and it's uses are limited per season.

If we are expected to attack Bram to try and make him bleed- would it be unrealistic for a finale to be used in the attempt? Because we're probably going to be unable to force a finale to counter given how much weaker we are.

It seems like Norse are a lot more willing to use them than Knights or Thanes would be.

I think a simultaneous attack might work. Have Baradamente try to trample him at the same time we swing with a stealth GKB and he might block the wrong one.

Looking at next turn... I think we still want that Combat increase, it's a very powerful jump in our Fite Gud. Not gonna let us win the Tournament or anything, but I think it'll let us do better. If we then raise our Horsemanship to 4 to keep us in Spurs range, and then maybe raise Admin to 3 early to stop our mentor from crying, we can also raise Tactics to 5 and still have 35 Zeal in the tank. That's enough for an emergency Counter-Finale while leaving us with a cool 16 to spend in the Tournament, which should be enough unless we plan to really go ham with Zeal expenditure there.

We'll then hopefully (in my eyes at least) proceed to still raise our Stats to All-4 in the turn after, although with this spread it'll only take 48 Zeal instead of the previously assessed 60, since we'll be doing 12 now.

As for the Armour Blessing, all look exceptional, but...

[X][BLESSING] Dragonslayer: You have faced the Dragon in your heart and driven it to flight--mere external threats are nothing compared to that. Has a similar effect to Litany of Resolve, but requires no Capacity or Fervour to maintain. Does stack with Litany of Resolve, making you virtually impervious to mental influence, though this still only has limited effect against reasonable suggestions.

Get behind me, Satan!

EDIT:

[X] Plan Bash out basics

Doesn't quite have a Filler Rote, but maybe Black Scratch Mastery will accomplish the same thing? And everything else I like.

EDIT OF EDIT:

[X] Plan Bash out basics - athletics and scouting version

This is good too. I'm almost tempted to swap out my main vote for Tournament Prep, but I just don't love the specific Filler Rote it gets and the fact it leaves us on zero Zeal margin if we want to keep a Finale in the tank.

Yes, that would require him to respond in kind, and you aren't going to win that.

[X][BLESSING] Bond of War: The unity between Knight and Companions allows for unmatched coordination, how much better could you be if you could extend this to your allies? The Bond of War allows for this, letting you link with (Decade) allies, smoothing coordination between them all and making it easier to combine your strengths

I am pretty sure we cant use the spurs yet. We are keeping the knighting secret for now as we dont want people asking questions why Audrey was knighted early.

Ok comments on the chapter. Great update liked it a lot! Love the dragonslayer perk very thematic. Very hyped for next turn. Really like the new chancelary idea.

OOO piety nice very cool. Makes me wonder then if we could have crystalize odr into crystalized legend in Norse quest.

Really Wana pick up some non combat rotes and meditations. Definitely think diplo would be good for the pre tournament. Also could be fun for a secondary action to study more about Norse culture in prep for the tournament?

Anyway great update!

O forgot to ask. I am assuming we will get more info on the Tabernacle after the tournament or are we looking at after we finished the mentorship?

This is really an OOC lack of info. In-universe Reinald has told you how this works, but we're still working on the mechanical details. It'll be provided when the rules details are completed, which will likely be one of those times, yes.

Basically just did what was told to us in the update.

EDIT: Switched the Light Taunt prayer for a Lie-Detecting Prayer

Would like to call out some ideas from last time

--[] Create a Diplo meditation exploiting our light revelations, exerting our presence (Light 3 Training)

Made a plan based on what Reinald recommended. Prayer For Perseverance seems like a good Meditation to Mastery, I belive that its stated that its cost goes down massively when mastered, so it would be good for our Fervor economy. Other than that increasing Web Shape seems long overdue. I could see increasing Athleticism instead of rising Administration to 4, but otherwise I think it is a well rounded plan.

I would also like to see if it is possible to get Watchmen's Eye before we go for a scouting ability.
Edit: Sadly it seems like Watchmen's Eye is out of reach, but I don't think information gathering is overly needed right now beyond what we have.
Edit 2: Decided to reuduce Administration to from 4 to 3 seeing how we were told to have at least 20 zeal on hand. While 19 would have been enough for a Finale, I think it would be producent to have a bit more in the tank for the tournament & the Ironjaw fight.

[X] Rounding Out but Invisible, Horsemanship 4

–[X] 9 Training for a cheap filler prayer that focuses on anti-armor
–[X] 9 Training for a prayer to help with negotiations/haggling

I'm gonna need more details on these. What do you actually want from them...these are too broad to be useful as guides for what effect to provide.

–[X] 17 Training for Hard-Fall Style 5
–[X] 4 Training for Cloak of Invisibility

You're aware that these don't do anything, right? Well, 16 on the Hard-Fall does, but not the other 1. Or the 4 on Cloak. If the 4 on Cloak is just to be a Light Rote, you can get a Social Boost with Light really readily. Or put them towards raising its level, which already has 1 towards it.
