Nah. It's an interesting twist. I liked how Baeran convinced Miki to open up. I kinda thought there would have been more yelling and emotional damage, but he approached it pretty well.

Could also have easily been the Ranger character doing a bit of roll-play or doing a funny himself, thinking he probably wouldn't hit the guy running away and unexpectedly rolling high. Would've been a low point of the session, but later an extremely funny story if the play group and campaign continued.
Though I suppose it didn't, given present circumstances. Darn, I made myself sad about Bearen again.
As for Miki, it's just one more strange thing about her, and makes me think it should've been investigated. Becoming a Chesher outside of Wonderland is already extremely strange, that makes her even more of an outlier. There's a cruel joke about her abilities as a scholars to be made there. But I feel the opportunity has long passed, and everyone has more pressing concerns right now.
