The Bonds that Shape the Universe Again (A Persona/Batman Adventure)

Batman is just as much as apart of Gotham and the DC universe as super man and Metropilous.

He will appear.

and he will exist. I'm sorry but I have plans for Batman to play a part in the stories to come.

When he finally arrives and dawns the cowl.

Oh I know that, I just don't want our character to be another Robin or another superhero and member of the Bat Family that will fight supervillains.

I am okay if we work with him to be another element in his crusade but we I kinda want as to be a avergae joe that is doing our own part to make Gotham a little better.

[X] Victor and Nora Fries

I want to see if we can use funky Persona magic to help cure Nora.

Bullock is a co-worker, mentor and friend. And Alfred will have his hands full raising the Bat.

This one wont work we have freaking Wild Card Persona and unless we decide to never use that were pretty much a superhero by default.

I mean work in the city itself, we will be battling Shadows to help heal Gotham from it's corruption, the unsung hero in some ways, and we can't do that if we keep battling Supervillains left and right as member of the Bat Family.

I mean we pick the Detective option in the beginning not vigilante so has to be true to our goals for the future.

Plus I think it would do good for Bruce to see normal people, in his view, besides Gordon fighting the Darkness as well without his influence.

Besides want to vote for the Fries Family as well, it sure as heck will be interesting to be Adam Fries and who knows maybe we can save our new foster family from being another victm of Gotham.

When we sign our new full legal name on the adoption papers I want it to be "Adam Charles Fries". Charles was the middle name of Victor Buono, who played King Tut on the 60's show. I don't think it's a secret that I suggested "Adam Romero" as a massive reference to the classic show.

Also the initials spell out "A. C. Fries" ("Air Conditioning Freeze") and that pun was too good not to use!

And bringing out a previously unmentioned middle name isn't even a retcon. It just never came up.

The Lovers Arcana get
...though would be interesting with the detective but curious on how this goes...

I think Victor for me would be the Hermit Arcana and when he become Mr. Freeze it becomed inverse to symbolize that he become lost and forever wandeting the darkness with no light or path to guide his way.

If it's both then Lovers could fit.

If it's just Mr. Freeze then I think it could be Death.

The Death Arcana represents change, transitions, cycles, and regeneration alongside physical death and doom. It represents a spiritual death, a transitional state between the end of the old and the beginning of the new.

Reversed, it represents stagnation, an inability or unwillingness to change or let go, as if something or someone was stuck. Frozen, if you will.

In Persona most characters associated with this Arcana are deeply devoted to someone else, only for them to be separated due to some tragedy. They carry immense turmoil and guilt over this tragedy even when it was not their fault, often leaving them to blame themselves and taking on a great burden or responsibility to make things right.

Okay, so here's the current standings. I'm honestly going to vote for Alfred just for the chance to introduce Bruce and John early in their lives.

[X] Alfred Pennyworth

With the ledgers secured, you turned to leave, her parting words hanging in the air like smoke. "If you're smart," you said over your shoulder, "you'll disappear. Because when this goes public, Maroni won't be the only one looking for you."

More importantly, how the hell did he know about her ledger? About everything she had done to keep Maroni's empire running like a well-oiled machine? She had buried her secrets deep, under layers of deniable operations and coded language. The kind of secrets that only someone on the inside, or something worse, could uncover.

perspective shifts a bit too quickly here, from our character to the matron's perspective.

[X] Alfred Pennyworth

(is it okay if i changed my vote)

Because we are gonna be drifted into Bruce's influence sooner or later whether some of you like it or not, and Nora and Victor are gonna be fine up till the first couple years of Batman. Plus, this way we can reign in the eventual Robin issue by forcefeeding Bruce with Lessons on how to People with your own family. Plus keeping the gaggle of Feral Goblin's in the chair as support until they are at least in their teens if possible.

Also, Bruce needs more friends beside an Alien that promptly decides to Adopt him as his non-family human in spandex, and Family that's out there with him that doesn't either put him on a pedestal or despises him for past mistakes. And the Bat-Clan almost entirely fell into some variation of those two categories up until Alfred got Uncle Ben'd by Bane and forced Bruce to learn how to People on his own.

Across the room, the Matron was pacing like a caged animal, her hands wringing a stained handkerchief that had clearly seen better days. Her face, once cold and composed, was now flushed with the feverish panic of someone who knew the walls were closing in.
Uh, okay. When I heard we were going to secure evidence I thought we would just swipe them all sneaky-like and the Matron would notice afterwards, not right in front of her.

She's pretty pressured too. Maybe confronting her would have worked out.

Reward: The Maroni Crime Family is crumbling under the weight of justice.
Not that we need to! We actually pulled it off! Got the whole organization and everything. Whew, that's a load off my mind.

John leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees, still fixated on the screen. "I'm just wondering… what if there's a world behind the TV set?"
John staph that's P4 territory. Tis silly there.

As for our Adoption, I fine with either the Fries or Alfred.

The Fries is the closest to a normal loving family we have, which in Gotham is pretty amazing and helps us fly under the radar. More importantly it puts us in position to head off the advent of Mr. Freeze. Whether by healing Nora or simply helping Victor to move on, another chance to prevent a villain's tragic backstory is huge. Also Victor is a researcher, right? We might be able to use some of that. Might have to worry about normal family stuff like curfew.

Alfred puts us firmly into the Bat-family and all that entails. The wealth, the gadgets, the rogues' gallery, the Bat himself. We won't be able to hide our Persona so we will need to work with the Bat and play by his rules. Things would get really awkward otherwise. High risk high reward. Might get us on the news, the Waynes are a pretty big deal.

Actually, would this make Alfred our official parent? Adam Pennyworth instead of Adam Wayne.

...Would we be a butler?

Alfred would give us a choice to potentially be his apprentice if we so desired. But otherwise we would be his adopted son and ward.

So we could be if we want.

But we would certianly, in the adventures before Bruce left, be helping with investigating things.

I'm just going to say this... Bruce Wayne and Batman are one in the same.

And while I love GRant Morrisons' take on the character, i do think that pepole who think that they are two separate entities are incorrect.

Without Bruce's humanity, Batman would never be effective.

I Don't mean their 2 different people it's just we don't see him helping people a lot. We get told that Bruce donated to so and so charity but that it. He just seems more active trying to help by dressing up and fighting crime instead of using his influence to help. It could just be a medium situation since it's comic books but I would love a batman story that concentrates on Bruce's day life.

[X] Victor and Nora Fries

They're all good, I think Bullock is everyone's second Pic. I love the Idea of him going from mentor to father figure but the possibility to save Nora. Also if I remember correctly there was some corruption in Wayne enterprise that got Victor fired. So we get 2 quests here. Also If we where at the manor I feel like we would have a lot less freedom or it would be a very jarring change.

There is freedom and restrictions wherever you go.

They will just be different. And interesting.
