Servant Heart: You are the Servant

I just want to let you know that, starting in the first... update after this one, the entire story will be written in the third person narration.

Why? Because I want to try something new.

We aren't even Proto-Napoleon, we're just good at making sure our army is supplied.

That's Halbert's superpower, money. And Organization skills.
Might have misremembered the specific quest. But Gage didn't do much better in that one, what with the simple power of supply, and an insane raid leading to a forced surrender.

Oh, and an inconvenient heart attack leading to a new king. :V

… In this verse have there been more extensive laws put in place for internet stuff, or is it still effectively Wild West levels like IRL? 😅
(Though it probably varies depending on nation involved.)

I like the Aristovs because more characters is more directions to take the story.
And also more chances to fuck up. Don't forget that.
Avistovs somehow become constitutional monarchs of Poland after taking over Kaliningrad and renaming it
doubtful, I don't think Poland is willing to to make the Aristov's kings. They are after all, russians... in addition to being polish.

And unfortunately, Vasily considers himself russian first and foremost.

His other family members less so.

As for taking Kaliningrad... thats kinda the entire plot.
Also, Aristovs quest is more scenic by virtue of multiple homes across Europe, including Italy, among others.
Yeah, I know, they are after all, a European royal family, so expect to see other (fictionalized.) members of the royal houses of Europe.

depends on the nation.

Lets just say that it is not uncommon for international hackers fucking around with important infrastructure, holding it ransom and beginning to start shit.

Hackers, the bane of internet based everything.

And then there is the possibly legal nonsense that just gives people headaches.

"Why is our advertising less effective than it was last month?"

"This nonsense again?"

[X] The Aristovs

Honestly, what I'm loving and hoping for most from this Quest, now that I've read the 'dossiers' on all three families, is that the other two families would still be in the setting and their actions will affect the plot.
It's just that depending on the vote, one family will have a particular servant, and the other two won't.
The other two families may even become rivals or enemies, to your employers and/or to each other.
Again; I love it.

Maybe we could even play them off against each other! (steeples fingers and cackles evilly)

So. Assuming we get the vote for it:
The Aristov family patriarch already has trusted and reliable subordinates, which means the protagonist will have some ways to go if they want to make it into Mr. Aristov's inner circle.

I wouldn't say this is Putin, as this is in the future and a fictional president will be head of the Russian Federation.
Now I'm intrigued, as in this universe Russia also tried and failed to annex Ukraine.
I wonder if the regime in Servant-world-Russia is similar to the one in real-life; a post-truth regime that has no genuine beliefs or ideologies, where Tsarist and Soviet flags are displayed and waved right next to each other.

Mister Aristov probably wouldn't approve of that. And there seems to be no love lost between him and the Kremlin, who attempted to extort him and demanded that he swear loyalty to them.
Instead, he replied "Idi na Khuy" and decided to carve out his own fortune and power, independent of the Kremlin.
One hell of a formidable man…but his greatest weakness is clearly his children, who all have their own personal struggles and issues.
