It's generally considered bad etiquette to change a plan after other people have voted for it so I won't be doing that. I can only encourage people to either change their vote or live with the consequences.
I'm also concerned about lack of perception and communication ability. We don't have eyes so unless we take the area sense skill we probably won't be able to tell what's going on around us. And with neither the whispering nor writing, and not even the ability to rearrange our contents our ability to communicate with others and have a direct effect on the world around us is severely limited.

Yeah, I figured as much. I am glad to know that is actually a thing. After I said my bit, I thought about it and was like, yeah, that wouldn't be a cool move. And spiraled into wondering if people have done that sort of thing before, especially on a large story line. Ophf.

You worry too much, man! At the end of the day, this is a quest— we probably won't die unless we get atrocious dice rolls/random encounters. Besides, most people are sane and won't try to punch/burn books on sight, so we'll be fine.
Ah, you are finished? Already? My, my, you do work quickly, do you not? Not quite what I expected... but no matter! This can still work. Oh yes, I can make this work.
The Overseer has decided to "turn-their-gaze-elsewhere", if I am using your 'air quotes' properly, for the time being. Major trauma always has a way of... complicating evaluations. I pity the Admin who has that type of Initiate. It is actually a stroke of fortune for us, would you not agree?
Now, we have got a little space to make the most of this situation. Here is the essence of it: the longer you endure, the better your results, and the better your results, the better mine look. And as for the rewards... well, let us just say it could be spectacular. But I must not get ahead of myself—oversharing could be risky, even with the Overseer's attention elsewhere.
Ah, here you are—5 additional Soul Points!
No need to give me that look. While I am benevolent, kind, and exceedingly generous, I should warn you—you earned these. Remember when you chose a Hidden Place as your starting location? That was no ordinary decision; it came with a hidden... well let us call it a reward. Survival with adversity, after all, is the name of the game, and foresight deserves to be... rewarded.
Now to actually begin Phase 4 of your Soul Shaping! No time to dawdle now—this is where things get interesting. Before you is a list of options, each brimming with potential and benefits tailored to you. However, each comes at its own cost in Soul Points, and here is the catch: you can only select each option once. So, weigh your choices wisely. Quickly, yes, but not recklessly. Every decision shapes may-ah-your destiny!
Current Soul Points: 14

One final thing. Any Soul Points you do not spend, up to 3SP, will be converted into experience for you. I have set the automation and programed your destination. As soon as you confirm your choices, your soul will be placed in its new corpse.
---
A lot going on in this one. It is a chance to spend the remainder of your Soul Points for some extra goodies. Rather simple Planned Vote, with Approval!
After this we are going to get started with the actual story. At the end of the vote time I will do a final recap of the vote and the finalized character sheet. Shortly there after we will get into the first section of story!
As always, feel free to ask any questions and have some discussions.
Voting Ends:
Remember when you chose a Hidden Place as your starting location? That was no ordinary decision; it came with a hidden... well let us call it a reward.

Assuming that there are some sort of "skill slots", we've gotta keep our inventory light, and combining those two things seems like it keeps a fairly comprehensive build. Inhabiting a Used Book is pretty much mandatory, and a Bond allows us to have some sort of communication/help. Random Trait is just for fun. Since we're already inhabiting a well used book which we can analyze, gaining extra EXP from left over soul points doesn't seem to be too necessary.
Ah, sad to lose Sanctuary of Knowledge.
All 3 kinds of regeneration, plus a boost to thinking, for us and any friends we may have staying close enough would have been usefull. At least when considering our supervisor calling out how our fantasy media makes those things out to be much to easily available.
Well, onwards to commit larger scale copyright infringement by yoinking every text we can find.

I've had some thoughts and I completely understand if I'm seeing this incorrectly, or am just so unused to this type of thing that maybe what I'm offering is a silly idea. However, I'm taking a look at this from both the perspective as a book who's job is to hold information, we are set up to gain info over the eons, and also to what our admin has said, which we are at least partially rated by how long we can endure.
So I think a plan, could be to simply... exist. And more then that, to not bring any extra attention to ourselves. We've been told the other thing with us here, is currently neutral, and we could make positive. That's great! But going to somewhere that's established, we may draw unwanted attention. Sure we could gain a lot more knowledge there, but I bet you it will draw the attention of many more eyes that we may not want!
To be fair, we as a special item ourselves, we are much less likely to be the true "hero" of this story, but us sitting in wait in the middle of nowhere hidden in more ways then one, may see us finding a true hero to join. And, may also allow us to be more picky as well. Nothing says we have to inspire the first person to come by.
Maybe I'm thinking too much to this! But I think taking an extra unspent stat may help us keep ourselves alive, looking like a used book may make us fit in more around us, and the random, minor magic item could be potentially useful both for our safety and perhaps too find the right hero when we are ready and find someone who is worthy.
I'm wondering if we're looking at skill combining wrong. So far we're combining similar skills because it seems obvious that they would synergize. But what if we combined something less intuitive like Narrative Flow and Reading or Knowledge Absorption and Analyze. We could make regenerating energy much easier. This is probably too late to change anyones mind, and who even knows if I'm on the right track. I wish we could combine skills more than once so that we could do some experimenting.
I'm also curious too see Nakia's personality. The next update is the first one of the story so that's exciting. I'm hoping he'll be more than just a blank slate/vote puppet.

Yeah its unclear about what the skill combining would be as well, which is a part of the reason I ignored it in my plan. I do agree with you, only being able to do it once with little idea of what it would do to really help us, makes it more difficult to spend points on it. Going by what people said before, I didn't think it was as fun or valuable, but as you've described it now its much more interesting for sure!
Yeah the story starting is quite fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing where we start out regardless of what wins! I think seeing the story from the magic times point of view will be very refreshing and different!
