So do you guys want to get the cold reactor patented, maybe do some PR campaigns by offering energy for free while we offer some scholarships for new employees to recruit from?

Ok so before we start planning, do we wanna go for the Trash variant or the both variant for the Glimmer factory? Also we should probably make the reactor public for money, since we need like an extra 150-250 to keep up with current costs.

I want to covert our tech and focus on the Sloot tech, not to mention we need to unveil our reactor soon before our window's lost.

RP: 1900 - 100(Traveler) = 1800 - 50(Inventory) = 1750 - 75(S & Qualifications) = 1675 - 330 = 1345 - 400 = 945 -150 = 795 - 150 = 645 - 300(Extra dice for Glimmer factory conversion) = 345

[] Get a new suit (140/250; 50R per dice): 150 RP
[][COLD] Unveil it by offering energy to Sunnydale for a set price, for a baseline of 150 RP, with a background deal for an extra 100 RP for funding another project of ours that should greatly increase the recycling of trash to make more on demand parts.

345 RP left over.

As for why I decided to do what I did, we need that Glimmer Trash Factory up tomorrow, aka as fast as fucking possible, and I wanna have a little left to spend extra next turn in case something stupidly important comes up, plus we desperately need more money.

Total 980 R (I figure we can go light this turn to see if lucky rolls give us enough money to do this and still afford a covert patent while finishing up the factory.)
So, I figure a single trash factory is the best to start with. It allows us to initially downplay glimmer as converting matter to other matter rather than what it is, and we can sell it initially as a method for the US to cut back on waste disposal while getting arms, allowing us to charge them for both services.

But we should have a factory ready first so we can patent it, and we should have trash from sunnydale coming in before then. Otherwise we keep working the sloot.

So do you guys want to get the cold reactor patented, maybe do some PR campaigns by offering energy for free while we offer some scholarships for new employees to recruit from?
We already patented it. We should keep the CFR secret for a bit longer and show off both it and glimmer trash factory level to the government when the latter is finished.

@edboy49
What about telling the NAE about the reactor and Glimmer in secret?
And risk them seizing glimmer before we have a patent? No thank you. Once glimmer factory is up we'll patent it and reveal both to the government Q5 before the patent runs out at the end of Q6.

Trash. Faster and helpful to the environment.
Remember guys we got to prepare to show the governments our tech in a year or else debuff
A year is Q6. We have enough time to build the trash glimmer factory and patent it.
[X] Plan Little Bit of This, Little Bit of That, Mainly Glimmer

12 hour moratorium. Also, we should avoid unveiling the reactor for a while. We don't want to draw attention from Clovis or others before we have Glimmer patented. Also a patent is expensive so we shouldn't try to rush things by purchasing temporary dice.

I edited my plan cause the points the other plan giver did made sense to me, as for why the suit dice, tbh I just wanna get it done and it being halfway done annoys me.

[] Run Security Training (0/700; 50R per dice): With Cayde now in charge of security, he wants to see just how well the security is in Skynet and see if it can be improved, even if the security is mostly composed of active military personnel and was under your command.

My main interest currently is improving security a lot. Wonder if we could establish more things like more security checkpoints. Harden our systems in case someone thinks using a EMP on us sounds like a good ideal?

Reaching out to minor corporations to possibly work with/acquire? ...Mostly wonder about other companies.

Develop our own robots? ...I want to make our own version of Fallout Sentry Bots, Mr Handy's or those C-27 Humanoid Robots.

Options to improve Sunnydale like it's infrastructure (Electric Vehicles, public transport, roads (See if we can make solar roads actually work) etc.)

Also want to hold off on revealing the reactor in order to improve security in case someone tries something. Have more security just in case. Also keep Glimmer a secret, what with both power in the wrong hands to working to ensure our possition is far stronger just in case certain parties do something.

So patent the glimmer than reveal it to them.
Yup. Ince we have a working factory level we can patent glimmer and the machines producing it, hopefully covertly, and reveal both together, avoiding attention from Clovis bay by not revealing the CFR until then.

Moratorium. Shouldn't be voting until 9:20 AM EST.

With the American military currently providing pretty high quality security and the bonus to rolls from John and Cayde we should really be focused on the steps needed to leverage glimmer to an arrangement with the NAE, and then counter corporate espionage we completely lack, rather than reaching tier 4 security.

Was just making it so I can repost it when the time comes, plus it was the new version, not the old version. If that was against the rules then I apologize, didn't know.

Not against the rules, just not something that's going to count and sometimes it can confuse new voters entering the thread later. Typically this is just handled by not putting any X between [ and ].

Ah gotcha, fixed that then and crossed through the previous message so as to show that one is old and not to be voted on because it's the inferior version. Also, good idea on the whole "patent Glimmer" thing, that way Clovis can't use it without permission from us first, and we can outright deny him access maybe.

So, given what glimmer is, could research be done between it and the sloot method to create engrams?

Or is that not how Engrams work? Not sure what engrams really are come to think of it.

Again, the patenting process will be expensive, so it's best to at least try and do this cheaply this turn and hope Ivan gives us another windfall to cover the costs. Splurging for temporary dice will see us without the money to patent it. Let's not spend resources talking to the traveler just yet, especially since the darkness can also chime in if we get a bad roll, and we don't want them knowing what John is thinking.

quick query, why does it cost i would assume tens of thousands if not hundreds , which i am more inclined to lean towards, to talk with S? i mean i understand a little bit of cost maybe but i struggle to see how a conversation that helps develop as a mind further costs so much when it doesn't meaningfully impact her normal operational running. its data, conversational development and software upgrade's are so good is because it cost so little, yet has a disproportionate affect.

Because S is providing 2 free dice. her processing power is on super computer levels and with appropriate data storage. When she's trickling her learning algorithms at full it eats into both power and other systems and funds are needed to compensate for the effect that has on skynet as a computer company with finite resources.

again, we have an expensive patent to purchase in a few turns and shouldn't be wasting resources on things like suits and should avoid trying to talk to the traveler so soon, both because of the cost, and because a bad roll could see the darkness taking another cheapshot at john.

I edited out the traveler, but imma be honest I don't expect the parent to cost over a 1000, so honestly either plan works for it, at this point it's just if you want the suits done or not.
