One cannot reach beyond the heavens with caution, with cowardice.

@uri do the personality effects come from the proportion each vote gets, or just from which vote ends up winning?

What are stacks of exhaustion?
They give dice penalties (-1 per), you gain them by doing things that tire you out.

They are an event specific modifier, so they don't affect the regular turns.

What's get chosen but the wight of the change depends on the proportion. So things that are in the minority but get chosen would influence him less than if it's something in the majority which got chosen.

I have been convinced to switch.

I'm rather not fond of overly cautious main characters in quests. They're way too common. Besides, I'm a wrath spirit, of course I would encourage fighting.

I don't think we knew the Combat Level of one of them? Thus one point towards caution. Then another is recalling the 'end-goal' of finding out what happened to the Clan as well as keeping low just in case. :V

Of course if one or both disciples for the next combat trials decide to jeer us or something is another matter entirely. :V

Yu Feng: QC2-high, skill:6.
This should be our next opponent.

We're QC2-low with skill 5 I think (and a +2 from Restless Anger, countered by the two stacks of exhaustion).

All in all we're PROBABLY going to lose, unless he started with really bad stats AND we roll better than him.

That said, we DO have a chance of winning, AND we might also get prizes or some attention even if we don't win.

Who knows, maybe we'll somewhat impress a Young Master that will take us as their "servant". We might very well benefit from that.

Tbf, it's possible he broke through from Qi 1-high rather than Qi 1-peak, so we have an extra +1 to stats on him. No way to know for sure, but we do know from the Restless nights results that he tried to break through to Qi 3 from Qi 2-high rather than peak.

the risk of injury is small, and early advantages compound. So lets see if we can start with a further edge.

we can probably bea5t the next one. the rage bonus gets doubled for combat after all, and 1 point of a stat is only half a point of dice bonus.

While i do think the potnetial rewards are valuable , guang is simply not ready.
Weve barely managed to catch up on the time we had, for now were better off taking our victory here.
