Alrighty then, let's see what this brings about~

thoughts: It's great the story is bloody complex. Can't put my head around it just rather see what is happening but thats just me. When fillia got into the timeless armory and saw the weapons it was awesome. when we saw the past Fillia's story with balmung it was intriguing. Also the battle with the clone/past self/fake/other? and the things we learned there was informative. helped me try and learn about the past fillias and how she feels about the current one. on mr house i feel fillia when you are trying to find something but only find it when you dont need it. Him being alive makes me think that we saw him being alive in the past threadmarks but we just did not see it or i am just stupid and making wild guesses. Now the battle with red..... rollercoaster of feels especially with the music i was playing at the time. learning that Fillia fought red multiple times loosing again and again having friends die right infront of her eyes. The feels man, and when she decides to use both cores and her inner thought's about the world and how she will rip it apart even when it bears down upon her with all its strength *shudder*. Man coolest thing ever. 'also i was playing red like roses while reading it and it made it better also part 2 of it makes me think of things '. Also Fillia finally reads a book *sniff* im so proud of her. i played La vaguelette when reading c72p6 man the song feels so right when reading it dunno why. And thats all of my thought's

I've caught up!
I have a few conclusions. And thoughts!
So the Director is definitely Fillia's Dad(although I knew that based on them both going "weeeee~" When they move in their office chairs).

I thought Sam was magical or connected to the divine and I was right! On both counts! Yay! So I guess that's where we got our Eldritch Compatibility

So Dad's got an anti-magic thing and that was enhanced by Mum's magic thing for Fillia. Plus Filia's Runic Eyes are probably inherited

But also what is it with Mom's other kids meeting us in violent confrontations?

Also: I feel like Ellie's our great however many times grandmother? She certainly treats us like her grandchild.

And finally: Alice is very much in love with us and that is definitely the best ship. Although... maybe we could date both her and Aya. While Aya dates Azure. Also: we should continue kissing cute girls on the cheeks. Definitely kiss Alice on the lips.

Next: we need to interact with Luma more. She's our Saint Counterpart. And nothing says chemistry like two counterparts on opposite sides getting to know each other through confrontation. Especially when one has a valid reason to be wary of the other but an equally valid reason to doubt previous drawn conclusions.

Also: is Yellow Luma? But like she's not in your face about it and is pretty chill unlike that Terrible Green Eyes Girl. Are we actually already friends with her and how have we not asked her name at this point? It's just awkward now Fillia!

Also! There's more supernatural than Magicals. Jishi's a wolf boy. And Alice has magic eyes like us and can use glamour magic! Neat! But also!

We should beat that bitch who traumatized our best friend into a bloody pulp!

I love this story!

Gimme your thoughts!

All of em!

Positive, negative, alll. Of. It!

Feedback is always appreciated, and love hearing what you've gotta say!

Welcome back, the chaos is rife!
So as someone who has been reading this quest gradually I thought I'd share my thoughts.

Firstly, the sheer amount of quality content is amazing! The fight scenes are fun great fun, and a lot of the character interaction is great. Elly is particularly a great character and you generally manage to make her exposition really fun and interesting to read.

On a more personal note, I did like thae later choice to switch to displaying the combat rolls in a spoiler, as I like seeing them but they can get a little distrating from the actual fight narrative.

Frankly I'm still a little confused why Filia wants to be a villain so badly given the way the quest has shaken out, but I mostly put that down to her past life's influence.

Filia is generally great (though as someone said her "hormones" bit can occasionally get a bit grating. Azure and Argent are pretty great characters with good interactions and points of view chapters.

On the more mixed side is some of that characterisation of the magical girls other than Azure. Azure's trauma makes sense and I'm fine with her characterisation. Now the issue here is I'm not sure how much of this is intentional, but the way the other magical girls completely ignore one of their companions wanting to go full genocial of a group that is apparently discriminated against in universe but that most people don't seem to agree with "Kill on sight" is pretty concerning. Certainly Knight I found actively dislikable over her completely ignroing it since her characterisation is "the mature leader who has seen it all" and has apparently worked happily with several nulls. Her casual acceptance of both Azure and Chruch magical girl's (I forgot her name) immediate attempts to kill Purple on sight (pre-actual villain actions such as the church raid) didn't make her come across well.

It's somewhat of an issue with Argent as well, but her characterisation of "brash, acts on emotions first and thinks later" makes it less discordant with her character.

Now if this is intentional then that's great characterisation work, but I' not entirely sure if it is or not. I'll also come back to this later when I discuss one particular character.

The red mist is an interesting mechanic, but I do feel like it could do with more ways of mitigating. I also think that it could have neen slightly better handled in the fight that resulted in the bigh church explosion, but that was mostly that it seemed to build up very fast without uncontrollable levels without warning of what it would really do when it hit threshold, but it did result in an interesting story. That said I would like to see more narrative fallout of that in the future, since Filia gave Argent the body cam footage.

Less positive.
I feel like the quest would really benefit from some time to breathe. Everything in quest has happened in an enormously short space of time in univese, and it is getting to be a bit too much. I think a few short time skips (no need to have each week in as much depth during these) would allow the characters to breath, events to feel more natural, and help Filia develop a bit more of a natural relationship with the characters she isn't constantly fighting like Alice, Satsuki and Lilia.

Too many random encounters mean they feel less impactful or unexpected. Even in the narrative Filia has noted that if she goes into a rift she basically will encounter a hostile non-interloper (Magical girl, Govermnet combat squad) on the way out.

Finally, I have to talk about my most disliked element, which is sadly Filia's parents (with Dad sadly coming off the worst). There are a couple of issues here, but the first is what I'll tentatively label "inverse character" competence. That is to say the greater "competence" characters are supposed to have, the bigger an issue it can be for the audience when they don't display that.

Filia's parents look pretty good and supportive... if we only consider their cover identities. If they were standard parents who weren't heavily involved with Magical girls and magical girl culture they'd be doing really well. Sadly, they aren't. Again, Dad comes off worse here since we see inside his head more.

Now the obsession with gatcha (and his attraction to his wife) is clearly meant to be mostly a joke, but it keeps getting in the way of good characterisaion. Part of this seems to be an artefact of when the narrative was trying to tease "maybe they really are two different people", so him reacting more to his daughter and wife being kidnapped might have given the game away, but it does make him feel disconnected form being this loving family figure the Filia portions of the narrative try to paint him as. His role as "director" and "dad" crossing over also make his decison to hire one of the people who helped kidnap his daughter as her bodyguard come off less as "unintentional comedy" and more as "criminally incompetent". Note:I do actually like this plot element, but I wish it got some more actual focus.

Finally I have to return to the null thing... because Dad apparently knows his daughter is a natural null, has something of the null typing himself (huge issues in using magitech) yet appears to have done absolutely nothing at all to address the fact that one of his main subordinates (Azure) holds an all consuming murderous hatred towards all null type magical girls that everyone knows about. That.... is not a good look.

Mom has many of the same issues (especially since we just found out she used to be a super special magical girl), though they aren't quite as prevelant since we have less of her points of view.

I feel like that last bit might come across as a bit too critical, so I do want to empahsise that most of the quest is absolutely phenominal and that these are relatively minor criticisms compared to the whole. Some of this is definitely a more "opinions may vary" thing as well, so it might not be an issue at all for other readers.

Lets work our way in reverse shall we?

Firstly, the sheer amount of quality content is amazing! The fight scenes are fun great fun, and a lot of the character interaction is great. Elly is particularly a great character and you generally manage to make her exposition really fun and interesting to read.

Thank you! I'm glad you like the character interaction lmao~ I'm pretty sure character stuff is one of my weakpoints lol, Dialogue in particular. But seeing how most of you are seem to like what I'm doing with em, I'm glad to hear I'm improving. Elly's always fun to write, and hearing that her exposition isn't grating or overwhelming is fantastic. Thank you very much~

On a more personal note, I did like thae later choice to switch to displaying the combat rolls in a spoiler, as I like seeing them but they can get a little distrating from the actual fight narrative.

Shall keep it in mind for the future combat stuffs~

Azure and Argent are pretty great characters with good interactions and points of view chapters.

As many would agree! I'm sure the Reds and Blues in Fia's head are jumping for joy~

I will add that you've not really had much of a chance to know Knight but thats definitely fair criticism. She's been away for a very long time do note, and she's also stated that she needs to come back and work with Azure more often upon hearing about the goings ons. But you've not really gotten to see much of said "Working on", but again, fair criticism to keep in mind!

Not everyones perfect~ But someone as powerful and useful as Knight? You can bet she's not around as much as she'd like for her personal pupil~ Maybe it's our turn to pick up the slack no?

The red mist is an interesting mechanic, but I do feel like it could do with more ways of mitigating.

but that was mostly that it seemed to build up very fast without uncontrollable levels without warning of what it would really do when it hit threshold, but it did result in an interesting story

Amusingly, while maybe not well done, that was the intention with your first... Burst? Break? with the Red Mist. It's the first time you've really just let it run wild, albeit unwillingly.

I've been slowly trickling in ways to manage it other then just letting it explode out (That's one method as well of course) but you've just not had time to really explore your options as of yet, perhaps even intentionally~ More on that later.

Hey look, we're at later! We're definitely due some breathing room, far too much in too short a span of time to really process and analyse. With some luck though, hopefully thing's will slow down from a "Holy Shit the World is FUcking Exploding all around us" levels of stuffs soon. But you'll just have to wait and see for that~

More progression is a need, Fia needs more Friends that aren't just fighting friends!

As one above says, Kissing girls on the cheeks should be done more often! And you can't do that while fi-

Well actually you can, but I leave that up to you.

More free time soon hopefully, you've got plenty of threads to start pulling on afterall!

That is to say the greater "competence" characters are supposed to have, the bigger an issue it can be for the audience when they don't display that.

An interesting point that I'll definitely take into consideration... wow that sounds really dismissive...

He's definitely competent, or I'd like to say that, but actions are far better then words in that case~ Lets just say its the classic case of "Director" being out maneuvered by that Unknown Variable at every opportunity shall we?

Though I do hope to show that he's better then we've seen at the Director schtick some point soon~

Note:I do actually like this plot element, but I wish it got some more actual focus.

Reading minds now are we? Well, thats definitely on the list~

Thank you again for the constructive feedback, At the end of the day, as long as I've got someone reading who can get a smile from my story even on a gloomy day, I'd say I've succeeded in my goal.

And if you're enjoying at least Most of my writing, then I'm very thankful indeed!

Lets see if I can shore stuff up to make this even better shall we?

So the Director is definitely Fillia's Dad(although I knew that based on them both going "weeeee~" When they move in their office chairs).

Damn! Foiled by you meddling Office Chairs once again! lmao

So I guess that's where we got our Eldritch Compatibility

Oh really?

She certainly treats us like her grandchild

"Back in My Day" intensifies to NOAC proportions

Also: we should continue kissing cute girls on the cheeks. Definitely kiss Alice on the lips.

Do you WANT to achieve nuclear fusion? Cause thats probably one way to do so. But yes, always keeping kissing cute girls on cute cheeks.

Next: we need to interact with Luma more. She's our Saint Counterpart. And nothing says chemistry like two counterparts on opposite sides getting to know each other through confrontation. Especially when one has a valid reason to be wary of the other but an equally valid reason to doubt previous drawn conclusions.

Hmm... I do like me a good Enemies to Lovers story yes~

Are we actually already friends with her and how have we not asked her name at this point? It's just awkward now Fillia!

FRIENDS ARE HARD! PEOPLE SCARY!

Eh, you're sure the Voices in your head'll make you reconsider if stuff starts going awry.
:D We will do our best.
..Though she does glare at you, and inch away from the manhole cover she's ended up landing right next to.
She's come so far, I'm so proud.
Now, excuse me as I go prepare some popcorn and update the shipping chart with elves, I'm looking forward to the live beatdown that's about to be streamed.

By the way.

Message! Page 6
Sorry, got distracted again. Anyway. What I need you to do is simple. We need to be a villain~ Like we've always wanted to!
Not one of those cheap knock off idiots who're only there for cheap tension. No no. We need to bring out the good stuff from the Magical's~ You know.~ All those wonderful, heavy emotions~ Magical's get stronger the stronger their emotions are. So we need to make them stronger. And nothing makes a Magical Girl better then a competent villain! Or a strong one. Hopefully you're both but eh, I kinda nuked your memories so that's a big if. Easier if you don't remember all the horrible shit thats happened in the past year or so.
Oh look! The red bimbo broke through! Finally!
Ah shit wait, that means I have less time for this. Uh short version go.
Wait... what do I say. Uhh.... We're called Fillia. Fillia Solthoth. Yes, all Eldritchly I know. Blame mum, she thought it was cool and dad rarely says no to her. Uh... if I sent you back right, everyone should still be alive. Mum, dad, Lilla.
Oh... right! Hey! Important point for Lillia's Magical Girl Thing! Whatever happens do-

Now that Filia's own instincts have weighed in, I'm pretty sure past Filia's message in regards to Lilia was specifically don't reveal Filia's magical girl status to her. We got this warning in the very first entry in the entire story.

Jeez. What the heck. How could that reveal apparently be so catastrophic!? But it is. This is a really big deal. I wonder why.

By the way.

Or it could be the exact opposite trying to follow her usual Instinct of no one must know will lead to bad things TM

Or it could be the exact opposite trying to follow her usual Instinct of no one must know will lead to bad things TM
Eh. That would be unusually deceptive of our predecessors. At least one of Filia's past selves revealed herself to Lilia... and really bad things happened apparently. Enough so that Filia's instinctively repulsed by the idea almost as much as triggering FEAR.

Jeez. What the heck. How could that reveal apparently be so catastrophic!? But it is. This is a really big deal. I wonder why.
If I had to guess... related to Lilia's own potential to be a magical girl she tries to do something to help Filia that backfires tremendously due Filia's unusual nature and/or paints a huge fucking target on her head when she already has one because she's a part of this family and apparently their byword is suffering.

Wait a minute. I just realized! Apparently Fillia was going after Alice before her regression. And we like flustering Alice. Wait are we actually going out with Alice and we just didn't remember we were? But also: we're a bit of a playgirl. Cause we're kinda dating Argent and Satsuki too. Because Blushing girls are the cutest and we have that Chemistry with Argent thing. And hey, we're also polyamorous! And we ship Argent and Azure! Neat!

But like....it would be a little funny if like half the reason people are hostile to us is because we're a Certified Heartbreaker™.

Oh! Another thought occurred to me. So we're Smol, have Glowing Runic Purple eyes, long brown hair and can't speak (we have a few times but those were special circumstances). We're adorable. Plus we have a Presence that can't be discounted We have all the qualities of a Main Heroine. But we're the Main Character. What if... Some Harem Centers fell in love with us while we were a Harem Core ourselves. But we were oblivious. We might have accidentally stolen crushes or trampled over feelings. But whatever! That's a Them Problem! Girls and Women are Cute and Hot! Magical Girls and Blushing Girls are Especially Cute!

Wait a minute! We knew a Magical before we became a Villain. Is that a future plot thread? Hm...

Wait a minute, Fillia! Satsuki literally told you she was Bi. And displayed jealousy when she thought you were going out with Jishi. How could you think she wasn't into you that way you Little useless lesbian, you.

The voices are in agreement as usual, though, there's a bit more argument as well.

The murmurs, whispers and shouts colliding and twisting what might've been a cacophony of noise into a cohesive train of thought.

And one you can definitely agree with. Afterall, you're a lady of class. Not some barbarian.

…even if the Mist is pricking at its box… and Gae Bolgs growling at how you're not just taking your biggest gun and wiping this parasite off the face of the planet this instant.

Yup, definitely a lady of class, even if Gae Bolg- chan's opinion is very va-

Wait, did you just call Gae Bolg-

No, no, you didn't. Nope. Never.

… you shush the rejoicing voices, looking up at your rude guest instead and offering her the customary greeting as always.

One foot forward, hands gathering your dresses skirt, a bend of the knee and a slight bow to your curtsey.

Channeling as much of Elly and Number 20's grace as you can to truly paint the picture as clearly as you can.

…even if you'd rather not give this girl any form of superiority over you, she's technically been a Magical girl longer then you have, and that has to mean something yo-

"Oh wow, is that a bow? Haha, hey chat, get a load of this! I know, right? Haha, How do you do~?"

… You're sure Argent won't mind too much if she's missing a few fingers. Or a hand.

Hell, maybe even an entire arm, what's the difference right? It's just flesh.

And flesh breaks. It rips, it tears. What's missing an arm really?

You internalize all that annoyance, taking a long look at the mock curtsey she does in turn.

Poor form, far too deep a bow, and obviously over exaggerated.

But, you can't rip into her for that, not yet. You're a civilized person after all, one of elegance, of status.

So, you give her a smirk, returning her mocking ten fold with a slight tilt of your head, and then sitting down in your chair at the head of the table.

..even if it's a circle, and there's technically no head….

Meh, semantics.

You wave a hand to Argent and Azure, over the two other chairs at the table, keeping an eye over Bluey or whatever her name was as she leaps off the edge and hits the ground in a deft display of acrobatics.

More exaggeration, more flair. Much wasted magic to create a greater show.

…Yes it's hypocritical, considering you do the same thing. But meh.

A click as her heels hit the asphalt. Followed by a second as the choker on her neck splits in two.

The two Halves floating away from her and starting to follow a little behind, both bits of the gem that were blue now a blinking red.

More things to take note of you suppose. Hopefully those are just there for capturing the scene, but best to assume they can attack too.

You're tempted to be petty when she slinks on up to the table.

Really tempted.

It'd be so, so easy to just… vanish her chair away. Even the Mist seems to agree as you contemplate it. Just one movement, you could even do it while smiling or not even looking at her…

But, you've set on the course of being courteous if cautious. Not outright aggressive.

And so, she's allowed to join you at the table.

Her little drones float around, doing a lap of the table as you quietly sip on your tea, foot tapping on the floor for a moment while the moon shines brightly down on the city.

And when they finally settle into place behind her, Aqua leans in towards you from her spot across the table.

"So, you're the new girl in Delaro~ The shadowy figure behind the curtain where normally a new Magical Girl is lauded with all the attention a city can give~"

You don't know how you feel that you can hear the ~ whenever she speaks… nor the fact it makes you shiver slightly in some weird emotion…

But the best you can give as Purple is a shrug followed by a nod, staring right at her with unblinking eyes and a confident smirk.

She gives you a hum, followed by a giggle.

"Oh fun, you don't know either? Or maybe you do and you're keeping it all secret! Chat, look, she's being mean to me~ We don't like secrets do we?"

Her eyes shift to the side slightly, and you follow her gaze to a wireframe rectangle that hovers in front of her.

Probably hidden from the others, but not from you.

The comments are… esoteric, oh you like that word, the comments are weird… lots of three letter acronyms and stuff that you're pretty sure you should understand but don't.

The hell does "Step on me Pog" even mean? You get the first bit, but Pog?

People are as confusing as always…

Aqua masks the act of reading her Chat by chewing on a piece of shortbread extremely loudly.

You can hear each crunch, and you're on the opposite side of the table. Though, her chat seems to like it, which confuses you more.

A glance over at Argent and Azure tells you that they're enjoying the tea and sweets, a moment of observation hinting that maybe this is helping them relax in some subconscious way.

Argent's shoulders lose a hint of built up tension, and Azure tries to hide how much she's enjoying the macarons with her tea.

You make a mental note to get more of those on the table next time you're with her. Food really is the way to a girl's heart!

And tea!

Maybe anything sweet?

Probably anything sweet. But what if she doesn't like sweet things…

Eh, cute panicking it is in that case. That'll work.

You deign to recognise Aqua's presence again when you feel something scratch in your head. A slight feeling of pressure that gets dogpiled by every one of your mental defenses the mere moment it appears.

You do your best to stifle a laugh as the bluette lets out a silent yelp and visibly flinches back.

Though, you do pull back just a bit on the mental defenses for now. Best save that as a fun surprise for when she's in a fight with you.

"I hear you're strong Purple~ So strong, that you've taken down not just Azure, but Argent as well. How about a fight with someone far more, experienced~?"

The bait is obvious, even more so when she puts her hands under her tits in the classic anime pose thing. And when she leans forwards.

Sadly. Your heart is already taken, and those pale valleys get ignored for the cuteness that is Argent blushing a bit and looking down at herself.

Though you do give Aqua a nod at the offer, paper scribbling down that you'd gladly accept a duel with her.

"Great!"

She hops up, literally saying "hop" as she does so, bouncing a bit to loosen up as you raise an eyebrow.

Well, if she's that eager to start… hm. But first…

You note that Argent and Azure have also gotten up, now exposed under the moonlight as they make space for the fight that's about to happen.

You glance over the parking lot, multitasking as you try to spot Lorica and get a good feel for the place in the moment as well.

Sadly, your elf is sneakier than you'd like to admit, not appearing on any of your other vision modes even as you focus…

Either way, you point at your two fellow Magicals, pointing up at the roof of one of the parking garages with a head cocked to the side slightly.

"Sure, seems like we'll get a good view from up there."

And so, you have them clear the field, though you follow for a moment, bouncing off the various barriers on the edge of the garage to reach them, and then setting your table back up so they can lounge and enjoy the show.

You get a cheery thank you from Argent, and Azure huffs cutely as if she's not happy you've given her more macarons.

Yup, definitely cuter than that annoying Bluette… who's currently stretching down in the center of the lot while her drones buzz around her from various angles.

You hop on down either way, not using Curtana and instead settling into a suitably menacing three point landing nearby.

And so, as Aqua rises up and settles into a stance, you tap a foot on the ground in thought.

A question is asked to Elly as time slows for a brief moment. And she hums nodding along as you mentally form words.

Make a Choice, Pick a challenge, Get a reward (Pick one)

[x] Fight as you normally would, It might not earn you a particular reward, but, it'll let you show off the breadth of your abilities to all those wonderful viewers through Aqua or whatever her name was' cameras. (No Challenge Imposed) (No bonuses reward) (Will probably reveal unrevealed Weapons and Abilities to the Masses)

[x] It might have taken some convincing, but, you've managed to get a sheath for Curtana. And with a bit of experimenting, you've found that you can use the blade's abilities through it… So, if your goal was to humiliate this horrid stain on your cute Magical's lives, why not show her the courtesy of only using the sheath of your blade to beat her down. (Challenge Imposed: Use Only Curtana's Abilities to defeat Starlight Aqua (Core Abilities are allowed)) (+ 1 Curtana Mutation on Success) (May Reveal Curtana Abilities to the Masses)

[x] Or… If you're feeling even more risky, why bother even using a sheathe. You saw this… trailer thing, where someone beat a group of people up using only their hands to slap them as hard as they could. They weren't even a magical girl, so imagine how hard you can slap a bitch… You won't be able to really use your weapons abilities, but if you can beat Aqua without them, imagine just how angry it'd make her… You're almost salivating~... Elly's allowed you to use your feet as well if you need, something about it being a bit unfair if she only gets the hands or something… you weren't really paying attention cause Azure made this cute af sound… (Challenge Imposed: Use only your Body to defeat Starlight Aqua (No Weapons or Weapon Abilities) (Core Abilities are Allowed)) (+ 2 Mutations to a Weapon of your Choice (Pick One Now)) (Will not Reveal Weapons or Weapon abilities to the Masses)

[x] Or perhaps, the Voices might have a Challenge they've got in mind... you're sure they love to torment you in some way, so why not leave things up to chance and see what they suggest. (Write in option) (DM will decide rewards) (May earn extra for more detail~)

Hmm, I may come back and do this chapter again at some point.

It fought me for some reason, maybe cause of dialogue? God I struggle at that...

Oh well, if you guys enjoy it, thats what I can ask for~

And Look, there's stuff on the line if you wanna have a bit more... risk with your reward~ Take a pick, make a choice. Maybe earn some fun shiny things for this glorious Power Trip that is AMA~

Have a hug all, and poke me with stuff if you wanna, Blana will be around for a bit~

I'm cool with revealing the sword of mercy to the masses.
