Wild Card: A Fallout New Vegas Post-Game Quest

One positive aspect of handing gomorrah to its former workers is that they will eventually join the kings and the chairmen as our on the ground influence since we are going to be their backer if we pick this option.

If we are worried about the kings and chairmen getting too much power in the new status quo we are building adding a new group among their ranks should be pursued.

That's... a good point. Very much worthwhile. I'm of the opinion that the chairmen and kings are doing good work though, but having more loyal help doesn't hurt.

The problem is that other than food money is something we desperately need if we want to improve the living situation of New Vegas and setting up a trading outpost would help bring in a lot of money for us and Gomorrah is currently one of the safest places it could be set up.

We could just as well do this with the Followers of the Apocalypse since we heavily backed them as well.

[X] A Government Without Tyranny
-[X][AIRPORT] Convert McCarran into a regional trade depot.
-[X][HOOVER] Gradually return the Dam to its prior capacity.
-[X][MILITIA] Adopt the decentralized Westside model.
-[X][FUNDING] Keep it simple.
-[X][GOMORRAH] Convert it into a public hospital.
-[X] [Write-In] Grant the former sex workers and employees of Gomorrah possession over Vault 3 and aid them in establishing a fortified settlement of their own in western New Vegas.

I like the write in for farmer's co-ops too. I am going for this one just because I think it'll help us expand our industrial base quicker but that definitely is an effort worth pursuing. I am going for this model because I see New Vegas as a kind of warning about the problems of the state. My solution is not to build a new dictatorship based around the Courier, but rather try to create a state based on horizontal and consensual political relationships. Pursuing this plan will grant the most freedom for the people of New Vegas to decide their own fates. We should keep putting our thumb on the scale for good but we must recognize the weak point in any personalized dictatorship is the person. This should not be our goal or we risk ending up like Caesar or House. Our life's work wiped out with our heartbeat.

Edited in a short argument for the plan.

-[X][AIRPORT] Reactivate McCarran as a military outpost.
-[X][HOOVER] Gradually return the Dam to its prior capacity.
-[X][MILITIA] Adopt the decentralized Westside model.
-[X][FUNDING] Maybe a little squeeze.
-[X][GOMORRAH] Convert it into a trade emporium.
-[X][WRITE-IN] Democratize the Sharecropper fields.

  1. Public health, especially in New Vegas proper, should still be adressed.
  2. Somehow getting Vertibirds should be important for the military
  3. There are a few more vaults that aren't full of deadly zombifying fungi. They should be dealt with too. And giving the former Gomorah staff Vault 3 feels like something we should do.

The one thing I don't want to compromise on is militia. It seems to be Ulysses's preferred option, and regardless I want to play this game as decentralized as I can. Honestly just really respect Ulysses too.

I do also hope that the former workers of Gomorrah will be able to adapt to their new work environment, if they decide to stick around the place.

I think things like joint training exercises are perfectly reasonable. Any further cultural exchanges would be nice too.
