Wild Card: A Fallout New Vegas Post-Game Quest

[X] Plan: Don't Rock the Boat... for Now
-[X][OMERTAS] Turned their leaders against each other.
-[X][GLOVES] Kept their secret.
-[X][CHAIRS] Incorporated them into your efforts.

I'd rather not take the hit to the Courier's sanity just yet with regards to the Omertas. Since it was confirmed we can help out the sex workers later on, no need to go all slash-and-burn on them, yet. Also, fuck the Brahmin Barons.

[X] Plan: Tight Leash and Loyal Friends
-[X][OMERTAS] Turned their leaders against each other.
-[X][GLOVES] Exposed them to the world.
-[X][CHAIRS] Incorporated them into your efforts.

I do like the idea of taking out the Omertas, however I think chlorine bombing the entire casino is kind of overkill. I'm more worried about it poisoning the damn thing and taking forever to clean up. Plus I like the Courier setting the leadership against each other with a single skill check. The whole thing is rotten to the core, but it's a good flex of diplomatic muscles. If, or rather when, they start acting up slap them down.

White Gloves got to do, fuck 'em. You know what a few bad apples do? Spoil the bunch. If the "radicals" won and returned to cannibalism the so called moderates laugh and go back to eating people. I say fuck them up, and repurpose the hotel for something better. The goodwill of a brahmin baron doesn't hurt either.

Chairmen are cool. They're high rollers. We need more people like them involved in our command. Swanks is a trustworthy and loyal guy. He wasn't involved in Benny's plan at all.

[X] Plan: Second Chances for the Lesser Evil.
-[X][OMERTAS] Took out the whole murderous bunch.
-[X][GLOVES] Kept their secret.
-[X][CHAIRS] Incorporated them into your efforts.

I'm biased, the White Gloves are just cooler than the Omertas, but also the fact we have two separate plans sparing the OMERTAS of all people but not the willingly reformed White Gloves is bonkers to me.

The Omertas were planning to give Ceaser Vegas on a silver platter with Chlorine gas and that's not to mention the drug pushing and very brutal pimping.

Like the White Gloves ate people but stopped, The Omertas actively drugged prostitutes so that they couldn't willing leave their employ, why on earth are they the ones you want to save.

Honestly, the only reason I'm voting to spare them is I don't want to detox the casino. That chlorine gas will linger and the residue will be a pain to safely remove.

[] Plan: A Modicum of Restraint(Abandoned in favor of dealing with problems over time rather than in a hasty rush.

I think the question we have to ask ourselves, is is it wise to take the three pillars of our cities economy, massacre one them, expose the other in a manner which drives away their customer base in the process, and relocate all the competent staff on the other?

Plan stripped clean is the equivalent of firing a fatman at our economy. Something we really, really shouldn't do. With the Omerta's more ambitious and ruthless members gone they can be kept in check. Exposing the White Gloves gives us another in with a portion of the NCRs population for good diplomacy later. Leaving the tops in charge of their Casino keeps the most significant financially asset running smoothly while one crumbles and another drops in profitability do to our supervision.

A Modicum of Restraint is our best option for maintaining the economy while furthering our political interest to the west.

Frankly if we are saving one but not the other, I could give less than a single shit about a californian Brahman Baron's opinion of us, The idea that because we killed their leader they are better now is asinine, they are still worthless human garbage that shouldn't exist, they just aren't actively trying to coup us anymore, they are still brutal pimps, they are still peddling drugs, they are still drugging their prostitutes so they can do nothing but work for them, and they still tried to commit acts of terrorism to sell the city to a slaving empire.

The White Gloves own a questionable near monopoly of the strips food supply and ate people in the past but are actively trying to reform. It's actively past morally corrupt to keep the Omerta but not the White Gloves and straight into morally bankrupt.

Either get rid of them both, save the White Gloves, or keep them both, anything else is ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure it would be lest costly to just use our securitrons turn 1 (or turn 2, if we really need to wait for them to step out of line again before doing anything) on the Omertas, than spend several turns cleaning out chlorine gas. Plus I want to kill them in-quest rather than pre-quest anyway.

I think the best thing to do would be to try them for their crimes and set them to penal work in the fields the NCR just vacated. Less blood to clean out of Gamora, more bodies toiling away at new vegas's less than cooperative soil, and everyone who passes by them on their way to the gates or the fort has a good example of both our mercy, and willingness to punish those who fuck around in our city.
