Bearing the Torch of the People (Central Planning Fantasy Edition sequel/sidequest)

Why not create a Sky nation we got meat tree why not explorate of that and make a living ship that can grow no need for pesky borders and sieges we are THE BORDERS.

If we're taking an airship, I really hope we can take some disgruntled Mage-Bureacrats to be our pirate crew. I'm just imagining a bunch of people with pocket protectors and drafting tools being feared pirates taking on elite Glitterdawn ships

[X] Plan: Traveling In Style
-[X] "I've bought an airship- One of the Nesting Dolls, and I'll be kitting it out personally. So I'll just fly there."
-[X] Locked in: Travel Arrangements.
-[X] Read War Reports
-[X] Brush up on Theory

These seem like good actions to start with.

Where is the option to steal potatoes and the plans for the relevant spellframe? They are the single most useful thing we can import. Get our new comrades in on the potato industrial complex.

The means of production belongs to the workers, and damned if we didn't work our ass off for this country before they up and exiled us.

War reports written in the original language could be helpful. While having the airship makes us a bit more of a target we can also use it to transport stuff around and/or as a mobile lab which is an easy source of income or goodwill (moving relief supplies).

I'm also a fan of being able to loot more stuff (that we can then sell or use). We're not pirates if we only hit legitimate targets.

[X] Plan: Require more information to make the plan
-[X]"I've bought an airship- One of the Nesting Dolls, and I'll be kitting it out personally. So I'll just fly there."
-[X] Locked in: Travel Arrangements. All the details and fuss and negotiations for your departure need to be arranged as soon as possible. Sooner started, sooner finished. For teleport: Designs the basic ritual (Magic). For the convoy or goblin passage, organizes tickets and introductions (Organize). For the airship, take possession of it and fly it to a rented location for outfitting (Optimize). (Difficulty 4)
-[X]Read War Reports: Getting a detailed picture of what the current material situation with Glitterdawn is like would be a boon if you end up actually fighting them. Which you almost certainly will. Getting access to these sorts of reports when you're no longer a minister requires some favors called in, though. (1R) (Precaution) (Difficulty 4)
-[X] Industrial Plans: You have a great resource for how to build up from nothing at all on tap- Your old friend Hornzollar, and all the reports from that first era. Brushing up on the challenges and solutions of early Chelskan industrialization could help you pull Halve out of its current colonial state, too. (Optimize) (Difficulty 6)

Reposting my plan here. The goal is to take actions that are likely to have an impact on other actions first. So studying war reports and industrial plans to help us make a list of the most important supplies to procur. Studying the language is good but that isn't as time sensitive in my opinion.

I see airship, I vote airship. On a more serious level I think we can probably do the language stuff later? Like, presumably we'll have time after we leave for Halve but before we actually arrive.

[X] Plan: Learn the local lingo

Learning it early means visits to the embassy and books written in the language, which will doubtlessly be informative for our future plans.

[X] Plan The Golden Plates

So long as we have solid theory, everything else will become easier.

Obviously the most important thing we could possibly do is enlighten the Halveans with the Good Word. Learning their spoken language is a priority for later turns, we won't actually speak it until the prep phase is over, while being able to actually read reports written/transcribed in the local language is critical for learning anything from the other side of the planet. How are we supposed to read about the state of the war or industry in Halve if we can't, y'know, read the reports?

And, of course, we need to start translating the Good Word into the local vernacular. Sound theory is the only foundation that effective praxis can be built on. Get the theory and the language, everything else will follow from there.
