[X] "There is, but I have a feeling that something has happened to it." (Effects Unknown)

[X] Investigate the scene some more, there might be even more clues hidden beneath all the trash and blood.

Tanner Montoya could not fight back the shiver that went up his spine as he heard his Deity utter those words, an unknown and unspeakable terror was made known to him and it was as if the very foundations of everything that is, was suddenly not. What the fuck happened over there? He can't help but wonder, even for his mortal mind, blind, deaf and dumb to everything that Aves could experience could tell that something was wrong and despite his inability to comprehend just what could do whatever it is to the afterlife itself? The ramifications were… unsettling.

If the afterlife exists, then is there Heaven or something equivalent to it? He wondered, then a heavy rock made itself known in his gut, slowly sinking further down as he can't help but remember of the many criminals he's put away or killed in his entire career as an officer of Night City. There were plenty of bad people that walked the streets but there were a fair number of them that were a cut above the rest: The Bride in Chrome, The Dropout, Blazin', names and titles of infamous criminals that once roamed the streets of Night City from years past that were put to the ground. Were they in there right now? Are their spirits wandering the bloodied streets? Have they left their marks and their victims trapped in limbo like the soul of the dead woman cradled in Aves' arms? If there is Heaven, is there Hell?

With a shake of his head, he forced himself to focus on the task at hand, trying to ignore the weight in his gut as he came back to the crime scene, the forensics were still taking photographs of the remains and it's probably for the best that they not touch anything, there was just so many pieces of her scattered around that it was going to take awhile to properly document everything.

"Shit, she's just turned her into minced meat." He overheard one of the officers mutter under their breath, horror and disgust coloring their tone as he passed by.

"Finding all of her is going to be a fucking chore that's for damn sure…"

"I think I found- Oh no, wait just some Eezybeef... Fuck, now I can't fucking unsee it."

And neither can I now, Tanner Montoya pinched the bridge of his nose. The other officer had it right however, finding every bit of their vic's body was going to take hours considering she's been turned into mulch.

Then something caught his eyes, or rather glared into his eyes, making him squint and immediately hold a hand up to protect his eyes. "The hell-?" His head turned towards the source. Which looked like it was coming from next to the dumpster. Hoping that he might have found a clue, the Detective made his way over and lowered himself into a squat as he carefully picked up the object with a pair of tweezers.

"What'd you find?" One of the other officers came up behind him, apparently noticing the same thing he had and peered over Montoya's shoulder to get a look at it.

It was a piece of metal, slightly covered in blood and shaped like a triangle though one side was curved inward at an angle, it looked like it was made of gold, or at least made to look like it. It wasn't easy to tell as he wasn't an expert in this sort of thing but he could tell that it was the cheap stuff despite it's rather ornate appearance.

Hm…He paused for a moment and turned to look at Hannah Rey's body, quickly looking her over before turning to the officer next to him. "Did you find anything like this on the body?" He held up the metal triangle to give the officer a better look at it.

The officer tipped his hat upwards as he squinted at the object before shaking his head, "I haven't seen anything like it on her, but it looks familiar." He rubbed his chin, eyes focused on the metal object as he tried to recall where he'd seen it. "I think it was from some commercial about a… high end fashion store?"

"Like Jinguji?" Tanner's eyebrows rose up into his hairline, he may not be into the latest trends but even he's familiar with the famous store in The Glen; infamous for its exorbitant prices but it's never stopped people from buying the newest clothes.

He looked back to what he had found, and as he turned it over, he could immediately see what it was. "It's an ear cuff." He muttered, and from the shape of it, it's supposed to make your ear look pointier, kind of like elves from those fantasy games he used to play.

This is odd. Their vic didn't have any jewelry when they found her and he highly doubts that this was just a mugging gone horribly wrong. Not to mention the clothes their victim was wearing would definitely not match this extravagant piece of jewelry. What is it even doing here? This was too out of place- Wait. Didn't the emergency call say 'he was after 'us'?

"Montoya?" The officer beside him gave him a pointed look, noticing the dark look that came over the detective's face, who then quickly turned on his comms, immediately notifying everyone that they may be missing another body.

What's the next step in the investigation?
[ ] Look into Hannah Rey's friends and family, they might know where she's been before her passing.
[ ] Take a closer look at the body, maybe there's something on her that you could salvage for clues?
[ ] head to Jinguji to identify the owner of the Ear cuffs
[ ] That's enough for now. (Ends the investigation)

Also I am glad to see you still being active!

[X] head to Jinguji to identify the owner of the Ear cuffs

Let's not waste time staring at the corpse. This could lead to a surviving witness.
