do we have an idea of what the mounts are actually going to be? or is the expectation merely that the cultivators will have mounts with them?

Tbh I'd rather hold it. Who knows what we might really need to buy soon.

Wen Jianyu said "There's supposed to be cultivators riding in tonight", which seems to imply either that news has reached Mudanshu before the cultivators themselves, somehow, or that this was a scheduled visit. In both cases, it's likely that the town is abuzz with info. Maybe our friend just assumed that rides would be involved, and maybe that assumption is based on the fact that it's an in-world given that cultivators come with mounts, and maybe the kind of mounts are a given, too.

In any case, we can easily ask our friend himself and, failing that, consult the rumor mill.
