You are a mech pilot, one of the best in your field. You've fought on countless battlefields alongside dozens of other pilots, from the most titanic Super Robots to the smallest and most nimble machines. In the midst of one intense battle, you find yourself caught in the blast of an enemy prototype weapon and transported to a new and unfamiliar world. A world of Orbal Energy, of magic and science working as one. A world of bracers and secret societies, with secret plans that consume entire continents. Your task is to survive, find a way home, and maybe even leave this new world a better place in the process.
Welcome, to
SUPER ROBOT WARS CS
You are:
[ ] - Chirico Cuvie. A veteran of an apocalyptic thousand year war, you are a genetically engineered perfect survivor. You care for little beyond the love of your life Fyana, and fight with surgical precision in your Scopedog AT. Size matters not to you, as even the most titanic foes have weaknesses you can exploit with a well placed Pile Bunker.
Pros: stone cold badass, the Scopedog is an excellent fit for the type and scale of ground combat that takes place with CS mecha, Scopedog is extremely rugged and designed to go long periods without much maintenance, not much fazes Chirico
Cons: No social skills at *all*, No non combat skills, allergic to teamwork
[ ] - Tetsuya Tsurugi. Raised from a young age as a combat professional, you've fought time and again to push back the Mycenaean Empire in your Super Robot, Great Mazinger. A machine to surpass a god and go beyond a devil, Great's titanic form can call down the power of thunder itself to smite your foes. Even outside the cockpit, you're a force to be reckoned with. Now if only you could understand social interaction.
Pros: You've got a fucking Mazinger, Super Robot pilot, skilled hand to hand combatant, SENTOU NO PRO
Cons: specialized maintenance, you're a prickly asshole, Great Mazinger is gonna have to start heavily damaged to not break the difficulty curve in half.
[ ] - Ernesti Echevalier. This actually isn't your first time waking up in a totally unfamiliar world. A programmer and mecha fanboy in your original life, you found yourself reincarnated into a fantastical world of magic and giant robots. Thrilled to find your dreams fulfilled, you used the knowledge from your past life to create the cutting-edge Ikaruga and become a knight of your kingdom. Now, a whole new world stretches out before you, with a whole new set of mecha to discover.
Pros: incredibly skilled mech engineer, already from a world with magitek-style machines, super outgoing, living his best life
Cons: you're a literal child
[ ] - Amuro Ray. The Federation's legendary White Meteor, you've fought on every battlefield the Universal Century has to offer for the past decade and a half. You thought the Axis Drop was going to be your last battle, stopping your sometime friend and longtime rival Char Aznable from wiping out all life on earth. Instead, just as you pushed the fragment of Axis away from earth, the light of the Psycho-Frame transported your heavily damaged Nu Gundam to this new world. With Char safe and sound in his escape pod in the Gundam's arms. Joy.
Pros: Newtype, Engineering Genius, You're Amuro Ray and You've Seen It All, Psycho-Frame, Char's along for the ride.
Cons: Heavily damaged machine, incompatible tech base, Char's along for the ride.
[ ] - Ange. You've lost
everything before. Torn from your life in the lap of luxury as a princess, you suddenly found yourself sent to a prison island for Norma, an underclass who you once thought subhuman. Forced into the fight against fearsome dragons without training or preparation, you had to fight or die. You chose to fight, and you haven't stopped fighting since. Against the dragons, against your old family, against your psychotic comrades, against the creator of the world himself. Piloting your mysterious machine Vilkiss, you're going to survive at all costs. Anyone who gets in your way is going to regret it.
Pro: Bullshit Machine, Skilled Hand-To-Hand combatant, Never Give Up, independent, Mech has some self repair
Con: Limited Maintenance, Aggressively negative social skills, kind of a dick
[ ] - Sosuke Sagara. You've known war your whole life. Orphaned at a young age and raised as a child soldier, you eventually found your way into the international mercenary company Mithril. There, you learned to pilot the humanoid Arm Slave robots alongside your comrades in Uruz Team. Everything changed when you faced your greatest challenge yet: High School. On a mission to protect a young woman named Kaname Chidori, you started to learn a little something of social graces, one fan slap and explosion at a time. (You still don't get why you can't bring grenades to school, they're useful for ambushes.) You even fell in love! Now, trapped in this unfamiliar world, Kaname is your guiding star and singular motivation. Just try not to break things too hard as you find your way home.
Pro: Similar Tech Level, Unflappable, COMBAT SPECIALIST, AI support, Lambda Driver, You Can Make Mishy Bonta-Kun
Con: No social skills, treats everything as combat, no Kaname to keep you in line, idiot
[ ] - Suzaku Kururugi. You've been through a lot in your sixteen years. You've killed your own father, seen your homeland of Japan conquered by the fascist Britannian Empire, joined said empire to reform it from within, been framed for the murder of its third prince, become the pilot for its most advanced prototype machine, and discovered your childhood friend is leading a rebellion against Britannia. You've even had your childhood friend use some sort of freaky mind power to compel you to live at all costs, although you don't realize this yet. Thrown to this new world by a blast from a Britannian weapon, you and your machine Lancelot must find your friends scattered by the same blast and someday even return home.
Pro: Similar tech level, good social skills, outgoing, skilled hand to hand combatant, Survival Geass, Lelouch, Kallen, and Euphemia are out there somewhere
Con: Relies on exotic power source not available in Erebonia, Survival Geass, not super adaptable, Lelouch, Kallen, and Euphemia are out there somewhere
A/N: So, this is my first quest ever. The brain bug bit me today, and I'm super excited to write it. We'll be doing a purely narrative quest, no mechanical aspect. Voting will be open for 72 hours on character selection, no moratorium. Please go easy on me, and discussion makes the GM very very very happy.
