Night City, Watson, Slurp 'n' Crunch

"That's it. Everybody stay like the good dogs you are." A gross tongue licked crooked teeth as a gun slowly swept across the room, making anyone who ended up in it's line of sight flinch and whimper, a couple of children, who could not be any older than 7 sniffled as they clung to the skirts of a much older woman, pale and fearful as she tried to push them behind her as if to shield them from the gunman were he to start shooting. "Hehehe, yeah. Heel bitches. I'm the top dog now."

Soichiro glared at the young punk who currently had one of his customers hostage. The poor old woman had tears leaking from her eyes, quietly whimpering and begging her captor for mercy but he simply grinned as he slowly backed up towards the entrance in no hurry to leave, drunk on the power and control he had on them all while he clutched his bag of stolen goods.

The malicious glee on his face was visible to all and it made Soichiro sick just looking at him. He was having a good week too! Business was doing well, his customers were polite, despite being located in what was a failing district, though he attributes that to just being in a good location. His shop was set up near one of the Megabuildings so that guaranteed tons of foot traffic. For a second there, he had completely forgotten he lived in Night City and it's just like Night City to remind him that he still lives here. Fucking punks.

As if sensing the hostility, the punk turned his gaze towards Soichiro "Don't even think about calling the cops, old man." The robber aimed his gun right at Soichiro. "I got my eye on you. Any funny business and granny's head goes bye-by-"

The doors suddenly open.

"What the-"

Everyone froze as a man walked right into the shop, stopping right at the doorway with a look of bewilderment on his face.

"... Fucking idiot." The gun whirls around to aim at him, and Soichiro, without thinking, cries out.

"Don't you dare!" The sheer power that weighed in the shop owner's words made the young punk freeze and all eyes were on Soichiro, who became oblivious to the flabbergasted looks of shock and surprise. "How dare you. " He growls, "How Dare You!" His hands slam onto the counter and the force behind them was enough to almost crack the surface and to everyone present they felt as if an invisible force just passed through them, making them flinch but not as much as the gunman who nearly fell on his ass, and almost took his hostage down with him.

"What the fuck, man!?" The robber cursed, aiming his gun at the shop owner once more, gritting his teeth at the sheer gall of the old man who thought it'd be a good idea to fucking interrupt him. "Who do you think you fucki-"

"SILENCE!" Soichiro's eyes went aflame with gold, fueled by righteous fury that filled his very soul. "Filthy parasite of society, you stain the very ground you walk on!" The words just tumbled out of Soichiro's mouth, speaking words that seemed to physically affect the robber who flinched and jerked as if punched. "Your covetous existence is a waste of the years your parents have spent raising you! Not only do you take what is not yours but you relish in the fear and pain of others as well as casually take the life of another?!" Soichiro's bellowing voice grew deeper as he spoke, deepening to an almost guttural level as the burning gold in his eyes grew brighter, a sight that no one but the robber could see.

"The fuck is up with your optics man!?" He yelled, and much to his embarrassment, couldn't hide the growing fear in his voice. "Are any of your gonks seeing this shit?!" He's robbed many people in the past, and that means he's dealt with the occasional Night City citizen that had the balls to fight back. This old geezer was just like any one of them! But the way he spoke had him frozen on the spot and the look in his eyes… it was like looking into… something his poor meat brain just can't comprehend.

"You will get what is coming to you, Thief." The last word dripped with utter contempt, "Unless you drop the gun, leave your loot and GET. OUT."

"FUCK THIS!" He didn't need to be told twice, this was supposed to be an easy gig but that old geezer? Forget it! A heavy weight suddenly bore down on him and his gun grew twice as heavy, his arms trembled as he just threw it, his ill-begotten gains, and his hostage aside and broke into a run out the front door. "This ain't worth it grandma!"

Then much to everyone's surprise, the old woman, who was trembling in fear, let out a curse. "You fucking coward! Get your ass back here!" The elderly and frail appearance quickly melted away as she got back up to her feet and stood up with far too much ease a woman of her age should have! Then Soichiro saw it, he never noticed it before, nor did anyone else, they were so focused on the robber that no one had seen the metal band around the old woman's neck.

"The Personalities!?" The golden flame sputtered out from Soichiro's eyes and the righteous fury that had been broiling in his very soul suddenly went out, like someone had just blown out a candle with a single puff. Everyone could only watch as the old woman ran after the robber with a spring in her step.

Everyone stood for a moment, staring at the door and then at each other, then at Soichiro.

"Boss." His only employee spoke up, eyes wide as she stared up at her employer with stars in her eyes. "That. Was. Nova."

You look on with satisfaction as some of the patrons crowded around the shopkeeper who looked as confused as they were amazed by his actions. The man had no idea where all that came from but he thanked whatever was watching out for him and his customers that it did!

You smile a smile-less smile and make a gesture of peace, unseen by everyone before you make your leave and as everyone retrieves their belongings and stolen Eddies, a few, including Soichiro couldn't help but pause and look your way as they catch the barest glimmer of gold…

[Rumors of the golden light spread in Little China.]

It appears that Montoya is still stuck helping Captain Wei clean house along with the few honest cops in Precinct 2, combined with doing his usual patrol work and following up on cases, your first follower will have his hands quite full for the rest of the month. Your second follower, the Ripperdoc, is also tending to her clinic and is working in your name to heal those who need it.

You are satisfied with their actions and you shall continue to do some godly work in Night City, whatever that may be, though whispers among the people in your territory have been talking about one of Night City's many gangs, particularly The Personalities. They've have been seen all over the city in growing numbers and the more paranoid of Night City's citizens can't help but feel like they're all up to something.

A/N: AAAAA This took far too long to make! I blanked hard on writing out the main scene with Soichiro and the robber! Darn you ADHD!!!! Anyway, hope you all enjoyed the update and if you have any suggestions or comments to make, I'd love to hear them!
