With the liberation of Naboo from the Trade Federation occupation, the galaxy has woken up to a new state of naval warfare. Starfighters defeated a droid control ship within thirty minutes. With one proton torpedo, the age of battleships comes to an end. At the same time, it is clear that naval warfare is still the key to defending a planet. If Naboo had possessed a more powerful naval force than just a wing of fighters, the Trade Federation might have second thoughts on a blockade. That way, an occupation could've been prevented entirely.
This event made our government look hard at its military forces and found the performance lacking. That is why your predecessor lost his job, and you are sitting here, Admiral.
It has been made clear that you must modernize the Temaris Defense Fleet and bring it into this new warfare age. You must compete for the government's goodwill and fulfill your orders. Sadly, you aren't alone, as the new head of the army has received the same orders. So carefully read the following documents about our proud Temaris Defense Fleet.
Pick 2 Departments! The two you pick represent the core of the current Temaris Defense Fleet. The other departments can later be opened.
[ ] Operations Department
The Temaris Defense Fleet has participated in sector-wide operations in close cooperation with other defensive fleets and Republican forces. This has given her a solid understanding of large military operations on a sector scale, a basic knowledge of fleet tactics, and a deep love for cruisers.

Trait: Cruising Lovers (Cruisers receive a +5 on any Combat roll)
[ ] Starfighter Command
Even before Naboo showed the galaxy the worth small fighters can have against larger targets, the TDF already had its own theories. These theories have evolved into the Starfighter Commando, forming its own department within the Navy. This has given the Temarids Defense Fleet a strong appreciation for starfighter tactics and their needed support facilities.

Trait: Nasty Flys (Fighters receive a +5 on attack against Ships)
[ ] Naval Infantry Corps
The proud history of the Naval Infantry on board Temaris Defense Fleet ships went back to the New Sith Wars almost 1000 years ago. Since then, it has been known that TDF likes to get close and personal when fighting or suddenly attacking pirate bases, surprisingly with a landing force. But this has led to past conflicts with the army, and they may do so again.

Speical Unit: Naval Infantery Corps
[ ] Intelligence Office
Intelligence is one of the most significant advantages a navy has against pirates. The knowledge of when and where to strike can win battles. The TDF has an advantage against most other forces thanks to the Intelligence office. Temaris is best protected by the Office.
Administration +1d6, Intelligence +1d10, Research & Development +1d6
Trait: We Know! (One Rumor gets confirmed as true or false)
[ ] Research & Development
If the Temaris Defense Fleet wants to stay relevant and independent simultaneously, it can't rely only on importing weapon systems. To do this, they will need to develop their own designs. It might take some time, but it can be beneficial in the long run and result in better systems than the market offers.

Trait: Best Used Before (Recieve a warning when Units will get outdated)
[ ] Public Relations Department
The public must support the Navy. To achieve this, the Temaris Defense Fleet has a whole department working on ensuring the public sees the right side of the Navy. Only then will the people ensure that the politicians support the Navy. Besides that, the PR Department helps project strength for only a handful of credits.

The stats are used as a bonus to your roll in combat. Combat is always a comparison between your result and the one from the opposition. Combat itself has three phases: Skirmish, Battle, and Pursuit. The stats are used in this way:
- Damage: Delivering damage to the enemy ship.
- Toughness: Used to block damage. The Toughness is deducted from the Damage if the enemy wins the roll.
- Pursuit: Following a fleeing enemy.
- Screen: Countering fighters.
- Unit Strength: How much damage can be taken before it is disabled or destroyed.
