Finding the Spark (Pathfinder 1E Quest)

@DragonParadox, now that the first arc is complete, you said you would add a link to this quest in your signature and plug it's existence in the Green Flame Rising thread.

Curious. Very curious.

[X] Final Message from the Imperial Palace, instructions of His Imperial Majesty

Follow the instructions of authorities! :V

[X] Locations of naval ships... error... Location of Active distress beacons

It is active after all theese years. Impressive.

[X] REDACTED Error REDACTED Current Files

Who is able to resist the mystery of Mystery Box? ;)
I think that theese events will significantly influence the course of the quest.

I completely forgot to comment on the headband's other function. Got sidetracked by the surprise that followed, but having 3/day Detect Thoughts is pretty nice all on its own. Although the save DC on the effect won't be very high, it's still something we can use easily and surreptitiously without attracting much attention, and at low levels there should be plenty of potential targets with low-ish Will saves that are vulnerable to it.

Yeah, with stealth we would be incredibly good at intrigue. I like this development a lot. I just hope we can fix some of the headband's functions later, and access that sweet sweet lore.

But if somebody succeed Will save, he'll feel that there was some kind of spell:

"Succeeding on a Saving Throw

A creature that successfully saves against a spell that has no obvious physical effects feels a hostile force or a tingle, but cannot deduce the exact nature of the attack. Likewise, if a creature's saving throw succeeds against a targeted spell, you sense that the spell has failed. You do not sense when creatures succeed on saves against effect and area spells."

Although, remembering casting the Guidance during the dialog with smugglers, Kori does not care about feelings of strangers very much.

The save is only to read surface thoughts. It is still useful to detect the presence of a mind and its intelligence score.

So still incredibly useful. I dare someone try to ambush us with us having this.

Just had a thought; will Kori even have the frame of reference to understand what a naval ship is? Mina or the others could probably explain it if asked, but I'm not sure if he'll even have a chance to ask.

I am worried that we will get a fuckton of coordinates we won't be able to interpret correctly due to the map being based on the surface map...

I just hope all information is usable.

Also, lurkers voting now are going to decide the third spot right now.

I have to that I am really excited with this development. I mean, this is all the result of a natural 20, so it must be really good.

Yeah, it's a neat development that can set the stage for quite a lot of the quest going forward. I doubt much of what we learn will be immediately useful, though.

Maybe one of those disaster shelters will be nearby?

I think that this might give us an overaching goal more than an immedaite quest to follow. To be fair, we might want to think about joining the Pathfinder Society, or at least making contact with them in the future.

Also, finding a way to more reliably speak with these specters here might be a great boon in the future. They deserve peace, and I want knowledge.

Welp, looks like we have a three way tie on which items you guys want to read. Vote still open

I want history too, but if push comes to shove I might vote for one of the other two options to unblock the vote

[X] Play the urgent message
[X] REDACTED Error REDACTED Current Files
[X] Disaster Relief Shelter Coordinates
[X] Axis Synchronized Conjuration Coordinates of the Imperial Postal Service

Allright, I am biting the bullet. Let!s see what comes out of the Imperial postal service. Being chaotic ourselves, we won't like Axis, but I personally like Axis myself.

@DragonParadox , with this the vote is hopefully settled. Due to everything being so abstract, I think that many lurkers didn't dare to vote.

I don't think the Imperial Postal Service is in Axis, just that Axis is used as a frame of reference for the purpose of its conjuration coordinates.
