[X] ==> CHECK ON DAD COOKING TO SEE WHETHER YOU MUST PREPARE FOR EVEN MORE C A K E.
First things first, RECON! You turn right and head toward the KITCHEN.
As you do so you pass shelves of BIG CAT PARAPHERNALIA in the entryway, including some PANTHERA STATUETTES and a few TIGER BANDANNAS, more of your mother's GRAND COLLECTION. They aren't all of high quality, but hey, they made good stealing practice.
Most of them have BLACK SLIP, now. DO NOT STEAL AT ALL. Only a few bandannas are marked with a GREEN SLIP, and those are the ones that are STILL BEING SOLD.
In the DINING ROOM, you are now close enough to identify the smell as the works of the master herself, BETTY CROCKER. More from the box of CAKE MIX on the table than anything else.
You were wondering how your father had managed to make SO MANY CAKES in SUCH LITTLE TIME.
And right next to the box of CAKE MIX is a PACKAGE! It isn't GC's, though. Instead its pink coloration marks it as being from another friend of yours, AT! You almost pick it up, then remember the already hectic state of your SYLLADEX and think better of it.
[X] Ask father if he's seen the package
You almost take the easy route and simply ASK YOUR FATHER where the package from GC is. It would be a rather simple solution. But you hold back. You have a GRAPPLING HOOK to find, and your FATHER is perfectly distracted! Don't interrupt your enemy when they're making a mistake!
...GG must be rubbing off on you.
[X] Sneak into FATHER's room while he's distracted with his cakes.
[X] ==> UTILIZE SNEAK SKILLS TO GET INTO DAD'S ROOM; KEEP AN EAR OUT FOR HIM COOKING.
You sneak out of the DINING ROOM and double back to your FATHER'S STUDY. This is where your FATHER spends a few hours every day, doing odd bits of hobby work. It is usually LOCKED UP TIGHT.
As you make your way to the door, you grin. The door has a YELLOW SLIP on it. That means there's something inside that CAN BE STOLEN, BUT YOU'LL GET IN TROUBLE IF CAUGHT IN THE ACT. In all likelihood, that means your GRAPPLING HOOK is in there.
Of course, the moment you try jiggling the doorknob, your suspicions are confirmed. It's LOCKED. It shouldn't take much to unlock it. Even if your HAIRPIN LOCKPICKS are at the bottom of your deck, you can use something else if need be. This lock doesn't really need a key, just something LONG, FLAT, and THIN.
Alternatively, there's a WINDOW in your father's study overlooking the BACKYARD that might be open. While it might be a tough climb without your GRAPPLING HOOK, it might be worth trying.
