@DragonParadox , I have two questions, if you do not mind.

1) In the winning plan Akorian "cast Protection from Evil on Gorok and Divine Favor on himself". Then he used two Cure Light Wounds. He has only four 1-level spells for day. This means that he does not have any first-level spells left. Or does healing means "Mina tries to heal morlock's wounds with mundane means"? And we even does not have Stabilize, which is a shame.

2) Mina tried her hex four time total: "Mina motions towards the remaining foe humming a sleep song under her breath"; "Again Mina tries to send one of the foes into slumber, again the will to live, to kill proves the stronger"; "Somewhere far away Mina is still singing, but the cries of agony are louder by far. None fall to slumber, only death will do it seems."; "Thump... the sound resounds in the tunnel like the herald of victory, the herald of doom, the cudgel wielder had finally succumbed to Mina's power.". There were three morlok foes. According to Slumber hex: "Whether or not the save is successful, a creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 1 day." How did Mina managed this? :o

  1. Yes, it means the heal skill, she can stabilize with that
  2. First time she tried it on the bug, if it had fallen with the morlock still attached it would have been the same thing as pulling one of them down

Probably just as an option to represent incomplete knowledge on our part. Mina pronouncing even know that Vermin are immune to get Slumber Hex, and Kori probablyndoesnt realize it can only be targeted against a creature once per 24 hours.

[X] Don't let the loot escape!
-[X] Kill the beast. While the creature clings to the ceiling, we will attack it from behind and at range, to prevent any nasty surprises. Kori will use the heavy crossbow, Gorok and Mina the stonebows, and Cob will throw his daggers.
-[X] If the creature detaches from the ceiling in order to fight us, Gorok and Kori will attempt to split it's attention, flanking it if possible and fighting defensively. Cob will attempt to flank it so he can Sneak Attack with impunity.

I hope that it tries to pull any of us with a filament, only for us to team up and pull it crashing to the floor.
 
@DragonParadox, was just looking at Mina's character sheet. Her Slumber Hex should also be benefiting from the +1 save DC bonus granted by her Mediator trait.

[X] [Beast] Let it go it's too dangerous

This beast saved as when refused to join a battle. I do not want repay for the saving with murder.
And, also, I do not want to be a murderhobo.

It is a vermin. No intelligence score.

It is just a person sized bug

It's literally a mindless insect. Doesn't even have an Intelligence attribute.

If it didn't have our loot I would leave it alone, but we're too poor to overlook easy stuff like this. Whatever it is will probably be quite nice, at least for a group of impoverished 1st level adventurers.

If it weren't climbing on the ceiling, we could probably even have Cob sneak up on it and cut the chest free, but that isn't really a good option now, given time constraints and the environment. We need to get out of this main tunnel so Mina can treat Gorok's injuries rather than spend hours waiting for the bug to get within Goblin sticky fingers range.

I mean you could try to throw Cob up there to cut the loot down, he would be down for it.

Tough fight, hope loot doesn't escape so worth it.

Hard to believe despite being ranger Gorok has no handle animal skills.

We can start working on that when he levels. Had to get the fundamentals out of the way, and Handle Animal didn't really seem necessary for a 1st level solo hunter at the beginning.

Hindsight being what it is, I wish we had put a point in it now.
 
It is a vermin. Handle Animal might not even work?

Also we should be able to identify it with Knowledge Dungeoneering? It is a cave dweller
