Because right now the only two showing signs of actually winning are her or Spectra, Tong's motivation actually works for me over Spectra's, and I just have too many other things I should be doing to try putting together my own bribery artwork this comparatively late in the nomination process; though I am taking it as a lesson that next time I should take the approach of picking one really good character concept I really like and making sure I have art prepped to go with the nomination.

Since the Tong Bi variants (both Dumb and Dumber) are nearly identical, I will be counting them as the same for the purposes of voting. If Dumb and Dumber end up being close in the amount people who want them, I can do a secondary vote to determine which stat spread wins.

Are the listed available species the only species in the game universe or are there other species that exist (or is there room for other species to exist?)
Or are these just the only sapient species native to the Wugant sector?

Been awhile since I read something where fighting is the preferred language. Excited to see what faces we can sink our fists into.

There's a lot more than those five. Those options are just five alien species of note I thought would be fun to use for a protagonist in this setting. Each one corresponds to an element, too!

In terms of commonality, Marinus and Torusans can be found on most planets. Followed by Arth, who are a frequent sight on frontier/industrial worlds and their own enclaves. Yeren are rarer on planets, not counting Yeren-led pirate ships landing for shore leave. Robots are practically everywhere, but functioning chidroids are very few in number. Attempts at mass-producing martial artist robots with chi drives have always resulted in failure.

At first i wanted to do something inspired by Wukong, and then i started thinking about Buddhists, i blacked out and ended up with this. Debated a lot about adding more spirit to "stay on theme", but in the end i didn't want four threes and this way it ended up being a smart fighter who relies on his fists to close the match out. Oh god it's half past one. uhhh bone app the teeth

The winner is the hotblooded, clean-burning Tong Bi! However, given that there is an actual martial art named Tongbeiquan that is themed on and inspired by the white ape, I might render her name as Tong Bei instead. I'll do some research into Tongbeiquan and see if I can integrate ideas from it into how I describe her fighting style.

Expect a writeup of Tong Bei's stats by tomorrow. I may also do five or six rounds per year instead of four quarters, though I'll keep the thread updated on any game rule changes.

Instead of being a creature of flesh and blood, you're a machine built with a "chi drive" called a Chidroid! Installing a chi drive and not having it blow up is more of an art than a science, but thanks to it, you have free will and a power source that'll only grow stronger as you do.

In this quest, chi is a person's life force or vital energy. Everything that's alive has a little bit of chi in their bodies, and a martial artist can channel that chi into fantastic abilities such as enhanced strength, super speed, or projecting energy blasts.

Some species are better at utilizing specific techniques with their chi than others. Yeren, for example, use chi as the fuel for their fires.

I'd feel worse about not voting for the existing 1 INT plan if it wasn't for the fact that it wouldn't have put the plan in the lead anyway.

Going with 5 spirit is what I tried to do with my own version of the plan.

Excellent Strength and Agility, dump stat intelligence, and maximum willpower.
 
I'll admit, I was tempted to make her intelligence a 1, but I wanted to make absolutely sure whatever she learns on this journey sticks with her and she has the ability for a bit of self reflection.

That, and having a quest cut short because she tries to fight a ship engine would make me very sad.
