Unless...

We steal the clothes of an index and pretend to be one!

Just make fake prescript so we can go "the will of the prescript is telling you to back the fuck up!" then throw the fake prescript at them.

We know that the Will knows when a fake Prescript is made and can make other Prescripts that respond to it. That probably won't end well.

"To…. Ignore the instructions written on the 3rd "Prescript" you receive this week and insert it 5mm behind the orbital cavity of the "Messenger" who gives it to you. Rotate each bone in their body at angles following the Fibonacci sequence."

On the other hand, who knows? Maybe if you get really lucky and by some miracle the Will decides to support you…

"To…. When you receive your next "Prescript", leave the Index and pledge absolute undying loyalty to the "Messenger" who gives it to you. Realize their dream. Raise them to the stars."

And the index can recognise fake stamps on the prescript. So If we really want to make those either we make it so fucking real that it is basically the same as the real thing Or we don't do it at all because...
"To..., stab the 3rd person that walks into this room holding a piece of paper, remove their eyeballs and then remove their brain using a spoon"

AWww, you guys ruined my fun!

mmm what's this?
"Hand the Index member's clothes to the 3rd person you meet on at the 5th apartment you've crossed by in room 254 and tell them to pretend to be an Index member for 6 days. If they refused, spread their skin across the floor, and if they accept jump out the window"

Kinda goes against the main idea of the quest to join a Finger. Even in-story Ciel's main inspiration was being in awe at Purple Hag's swagger while casually taking out a syndicate. No way Ciel's gonna go down that path after that show.

joining a finger often time means you're in for life.
Whether that life be one week or 30 years. If you quit, it means someone will be coming after you so you cant spill anything.

The Thumb takes etiquette and manners very seriously, and leaving them after all your higher-ups has done for you is probably one of the greatest insults you could ever make and you can expect to be punished for it, most likely, by death.

The Index will probably let you leave (seemingly), but then if they actually don't want you to a Prescript will also tell someone else to extract all the blood from your body and use it to flavor snow cones, or something equally gruesome.

Not sure how The Middle, The Ring, and The Pinky would deal with traitors/deserters.

Well, swearing permanent allegiance to a Finger would be going against it, but we don't necessarily have to die on that hill. Become a member to work our way up and acquire resources, information, etc. and then rebel/escape for instance. Add some spice to the origin story we tell to the little Fixers in the future about how we became a Color.

Alternatively, be like the Purple Tear and help out a syndicate without formally joining it to further whatever master-plan Ciel happens to think up (or at least something they think to be a master-plan, which may or may not go horribly wrong).

The Index would certainly be interesting, but I think people probably wouldn't vote for it, given the issues it would bring.

Though, thinking about it now, if we're inspired by the thinking and planning bits of the Purple Tear, the Will of the Prescripts is possibly even more of a big-brain mastermind than her, able to manage an entire criminal empire with just a bunch of seemingly randomly-generated messages. Maybe we could get Will's contact information and ask for some tips and tricks.

The ring is a bunch of artists, and the materials for the next art piece don't have human rights.
The middle and the pinky is still a mystery.
also, I see no point in joining a Syndicate we can just work for a fixer office and get better benefits without having to worry about when we quit will there be anyone chasing after us.

The Will of the city is… strange.

We know it's one of the city's gods, that it's not human but a consequence of their existence. I don't think it is something we can get advices from, too different a point of view, we can take inspiration from Iori without her power because she's ultimately a very well informed human with some ability to retry, and we'll have the ability to come back from death to help emulate, but the Prescripts are on another level entirely, they take every humans in the city into account, all their thoughts, all their moves, all their wishes and dreams and hopes, they are not working on an individual scale at all.

I feel like their first advice to get on their level would be *become omnipresent* and well, if we have that we probably already are a color.

Look like Gold will win unless 6 whole people decided to vote White.

On that note, any idea what gimmick Color we want to be?
Black Silence - Assassin
Red Mist - Open Combat
Blue Reverberation - Side-Grade FGO Moriarty
Purple Tear - Foresight? Dimensional Jumping?
Vermilion Cross - Squint at my note ... Giant Fucking Cross?

No idea. We will decide as we progress.

From my pov, we are literally just a rat right now so any discussions regarding this is probably not gonna help us much.

First, let's finish our character building then we worry about those.
But anyway.
We need to get better at close quarter combat, seeing that we are broke and we don't really have any range options, Augmentations or cybernetics will be a close second, Personally some sort of augmentation that helps with eyesight and analysis will be great, but we need to get some basic strength first before we go to that, and it's gonna be Hella expensive. so can't really afford it, isn't it?
hmm, Weaponry, Skills, augmentation or cybernetics, and finally, armor.
We need to go and loot some corpses for some scrap cloth or wear some scrap metal
Isn't there something called living weapons that was mentioned very early in the game, but didn't got elaborate on? we can try to expand on that, and even low level fixers/Syndicates can afford it so I don't really see why not.
