one where do you guys want your capital to be at
A: Dar Es Salam: OTL German East Africa Capital major port city
B: Mombassa: Oldest city in the area and also a major port city
C: WilhelmVille: located at the outlet of the Congo river on the opposite coast as the other 2

Little insight into the rumors turn I'm working on

It was a relatively cold Tuesday morning when You were working on some paperwork in your office when an aide burst threw the door with a Newspaper in his hand.
'sir one of the nearby British newspapers just printed this, I think you need to look at it" Said the Aid, As he ran over to your desk.
"Okay okay give it here," You say, as he hands you the paper, your face palled as you saw The headline.

you put down the paper and quickly grabbed the nearby phone and dialed the naval office to Inform them to put the Kongo on standby and get him out to sea immediately hopefully before the stolen British ship arrived along your coast.

I need someone to roll a d100 to see if the ship was actually stolen or if the ship being stolen was arranged by the British.

well it looks like the British came up with an interesting way to test their battleships
note these lord nelsons are slightly different from the otl ones in that they didn't reduce their sie nd secondary armament to fit into older docks, so these ships have 12 9.2-inch guns instead of 10.

You picked the least historical option so this happend also you rolled a 1 on a d6 which got the stolen pre dred event and the other dice decided their theft was actually arranged by the British.
My main question isn't to do with how this happened mechanically and more to do with how a ship with 800 crew is even pretending to be stolen.

I'm curious how that conversation even played out to come to that decision, let alone that it was what was decided to be what they went with...

Granted is also a thought of the ideal somehow being the best of ones suggested. Unless those responsible for the decision did so during something like a month long go to a pub/tavern or something every day.

"Jacky... Jacky boy" the Admiral said, slurping up some port and clapping First High Sea Lord John Fisher, First Baron Fisher, on the shoulder "What if we pretended someone stole one of our damn battleships?!"

No, that part is easy. The hard part is justifying how and why Fisher didn't just smack him on the head and told him to go sober up.

the update should be up within the next 2 days

if you guys built a destroyer light cruiser or armored/heavy cruiser of this era what would it be like

In 1906?
A destroyer would likely be a 6-700 ton, turbine driven torpedo boat with a couple of 2-3" guns for good measure.
A light cruiser would be an actual cruiser, maybe 5k tons with 5-6" guns and submerged torpedo tubes for anti-shipping work.
An armoured cruiser would be a baby battleship for convoy protection with... it depends on what sort of guns we can get but 8" would work.

Yes your tech is about 1906 to 1907 levels also fun fact about your ships instead of using the typical red, blue or green antifouling paints as our most comman (I forget who used blue but the Austro-Hungarians used green) (it's also why russian ship decks are red as they aren't painted over) the anitfouling paint on your ships is a dark purple

[X] A: Dar Es Salam: OTL German East Africa Capital major port city

You asked where you wanted the capital?

Yes it's crucial to the story now that the British have done thier thing earlier than I expected (thier was a dice roll for events which happens 2 times a year and you rolled the lowest you could on it

Interesting at 92 the only ship avaliable to intercepted it will be the Kongo as all other ships are far away from your capital looking for the ship. The battle will start 2 miles off of the coast of your capital and get closer as time goes on
