Looking at some of the stats on the example sheets and trying to gauge how they translate, am I right in guessing that there will be a fair bit in the way of conditional modifiers to rolls, such as Hassan-i-Sabbah catching a foe without their weapon giving them a penalty to their martial roll in an assassination?

And for scaling purposes, would you be willing to make a stat sheet for one or two local notables in this format, to give a better idea of how these stats and abilities stack up?

That was the idea. I am new to this, there will likely be growing pains.

Gimme a bit.

Example Bretonnians
And for scaling purposes, would you be willing to make a stat sheet for one or two local notables in this format, to give a better idea of how these stats and abilities stack up?
Calard of Garamont
Legendary Lord
Gender: Male
Alignment: Lawful Good
Hidden Attributes: Human, Knight
Notes: Calard has advanced age, and his stats are lower then his prime.

Diplomacy: 9
Martial: 14
Stewardship: 6
Intrigue: 7
Learning: 6

Traits
Protection from Magic
Halve the ability roll of enemy magic skills.

Grail Knight
Add an additional 1d6 to all Warfare rolls.

Blessed Armaments
While armed with the Sword of Garamont or Elith-Anar, all attacks become fire elemental. Enemy [Chaos] and [Undead] battalions who fail a opposed Martial check by 5 or become terrified, or break if they are terrified. Broken enemies cannot rout.

Token of the Damsel
This Legendary Lord cannot become broken and is immune to fear.

Living Saint
When joining battle, immediately recruit 2d6 battalions from the local villages of nearby knights, peasants and everything in between. These emergency recruited units will not rout so long as Calard is alive.
The Duke of Aquitane
Legendary Lord
Gender: Male
Alignment: Lawful Good
Hidden Attributes: Human, Knight
Notes: The Duke of Aquitane is the former identity of the Red Duke and represents stats he possessed at his time of death.

Diplomacy: 11
Martial: 16
Stewardship: 6
Intrigue: 3
Learning: 5

Traits
Honour of Equals
Each turn, draw in 1d6 challengers to obtain a purse of gold. If they fail the Martial contest, recruit them as a regiment.

Faultless
Does not lie. Roll diplomacy instead of intrigue to tell if someone is lying. If a lie is detected, roll diplomacy at 2d10 to force them to confess their lie.

Bloody Butcher
Increase Martial by 1 for each battalion slain on the battlefield. This bonus is negated in individual combat.

Dragonslayer
Add 1d6 to all rolls involving [Dragon] opponents.

Light in Despair
In hopeless battles, rally all nearby allies and prevent them from breaking.

Dune Trailer
May use Diplomacy instead of Intrigue to detect traps within the desert.

As you can see, Bretonnia is very martial focused as a region, mostly due to the fact its peasantry are, effectively, broken and thus don't actually need much in the way of Stewardship to deal with. While they are dedicated, more or less, to the ideals of chivalry as espoused by their lady, the nobility is very much the only ones who really benefit from this system.

This also means some of your greatest local opponents are going to come at you from a martial perspective, but your local recruits are very susceptible to other ways of doing things.

Thank you for the sheets. That helps a lot with scaling the locals.

So, if I'm placing them right, one of these warriors is outright a Grail Knight, and the other is a legendary martial hero who can probably duel Grail Knights with some reliability. In universe, this is a rare category, similar in tier to Saurus Oldbloods, Chaos Lords, and Blood Dragons. Many factions in the world outright don't have combatants of this level, or only a very rare few. Based on this scaling, I'm thinking some of the strongest combatants in the setting, the likes of Abhorash, Settra, or the Everchosen, probably don't feature martial scores much above 20, though they probably each come with a long list of special rules like our heroes do.

On somewhat more shaky ground, I'd probably estimate the likes of Balthasar Gelt as being around 16-17 learning, great unifiers like Karl Franz at about the same, high-ranking Lahmians at about that level of intrigue... a reference for anyone in the setting at that level of Stewardship isn't coming to mind.

I'm now feeling rather more confident in Herakles as a 'solve problem' button.

I'm now feeling rather more confident in Herakles as a 'solve problem' button.
I mean, if you want to be Tzentech's first and foremost concern, be my guest. Herakles was made by design to be exceptionally vulnerable to non-combat ways of removing him. Two of his stats are literal dumps that can put him on the wrong battlefield quite easily, and he basically cannot resist plots that incite a population against him period. You'll have to work at being able to even deploy him. Literal peasants in Bretonnia have good odds of putting him on the wrong battlefield. You'll also note that he can never be in a battalion, which means Herk always suffers a penalty due to being outnumbered when fighting other battalions.

I'll note his immunity to corruption only applies in battle, too. Being an exceptional and model hero is hard work.

Based on this scaling, I'm thinking some of the strongest combatants in the setting, the likes of Abhorash, Settra, or the Everchosen, probably don't feature martial scores much above 20, though they probably each come with a long list of special rules like our heroes do.
You can be confident Archaon approaches at least 30. Dude dueled Sigmar in the literal end of the world, and Sigmar at this point is actually a God.

[X] Ryouma

[X] Oberon

[X] Nobunaga
-[X] Avenger
[X] Edmond Dantes

Example Sheet Oberon
As Oberon now has two votes, he now has a sheet too.

Oberon
Age: Irrelevant
Height: 5'7
Weight: 56kg
Gender: Male
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Class: Pretender
Hidden Attributes: Earth, Fairie, Dragon

Diplomacy: 0
Martial: 4
Stewardship: 9
Intrigue: 15
Learning: 17

Traits
Faerie Eyes
Skip rolling to identify magical effects. Benefits of enemy illusions are cancelled.
Alas, these eyes see nothing at all.

The Great Liar
Diplomacy is impossible. Not a single thing he says is fundamentally true. However, other faeries can interpret his words and hear them as they are meant.
I have nothing I like.

Magecraft (Illusions)
Can use magic. In particular, illusions of fantasy that impose on reality are available.
Alas, it's useless for everything. The world rejects it immediately.

Familiar (Bianca)
A moth that assists Oberon. In matters of diplomacy, she will act as interpreter for him, allowing him to substitute his Stewardship score instead. If Oberon would die, Bianca will die instead.
Disgusting. You really are ugly.

Gatherer of Thoughts and Memories
A supreme espionage skill. By making an opposing Intrigue check against a Lord, Oberon can effect their minds and memories. Initially, only mind reading is available, though given enough time, memories can be rent and replaced. However, Oberon can only effect five targets at a time.
I am perfect for assassinating. Spying, not so much.

Lie Like Vortigern
???
… I'm sorry, dear Avalon. Not now.
-Kill Bianca to gain access to this skill.

So... I just found this today and I just gotta say that I am looking forward to this.

Also, are Foreigner Servants allowed? I kinda want to see a Chaos God Vs Outer Fight.

What about Grand Servants?

Hm, especially like the looks of those sheets for Mordred and Ryouma, Nobu isn't what I expected but they'll fit in rather nicely too. I am however a little less certain of Arjuna now. That high martial is nice but I didn't consider that a lot of their abilities would be locked on account of different gods.

Side note, @BlackHadou is there any chance you'd be willing to threadmark the example sheets? Maybe under informational or something?

With that in mind, one thing that occurs to me is that I'm tempted to bring Scathach in her Lancer form, since she's not only a formidable warrior in her own right but also a teacher of warriors who works with the bare basics such as hand to hand and spears. If we could get her training some of our units that could be an incredible force multiplier.

On the other hand, her death-seeker tendencies might lead to her wandering off or throwing herself into conflicts we don't want her in...

Still, I should ask, is she available?

If not her, I might switch to Beowulf in place of Arjuna. Still not sure on the fifth.

Also, are Foreigner Servants allowed?
You really don't want them around. By definition they are by and large susceptible to the Chaos Gods.

What about Grand Servants?
The world summons Crowns. You don't get a say in that.

Still, I should ask, is she available?
I'll do her sheet sometime... when I wake up. I'll be honest, you'd legit rather Cu. There's this really weird perception she's better then her student and I blame their rarities for that.

Gimme a bit, I'll shove them in Apocrypha. They are just examples.

Actually I think I might have been more thinking of Afe/Aife, I don't think Cu's especially good as a teacher, even if he's the much more powerful warrior.

If you're looking for a teacher your looking in entirely the wrong direction. All the 'teacher' servants in FGO will unironically murder the peasantry you are likely trying to teach. I'd be looking at getting a weapon anyone can use instead, like a crossbow or a rifle, and hoping they don't think its witchcraft.

I think teaching the peasants is unlikely to work out anyways due to sheer volume of them, but practically speaking I was thinking of figuring out a teaching program where more capable instructors can be taught by someone and then can disperse and pass down more human-friendly lessons to the lower classes.

But also given we have Nobu I think trying to figure out crossbows/rifles is already pretty high on the list of priorities.

Does Cu have any notable abilities besides being a high-martial powerhouse? And would his geas manifest as potential weaknesses?

That's a shame about Arjuna's NP, but it makes sense that it can't be deployed in a world that lacks the God of Destruction. Speaking of Arjuna though, are Alters an option? I mean, I wouldn't want Arjuna Alter, he's OP but also would cause issues unless he can regain his humanity through Ascensions like in FGO, plus besides him (with immense caveats) and Okita Alter they all seem like very bad ideas for obvious reasons, considering the setting. I'm more curious than anything else.

[X] Cú Chulainn
-[X] Lancer
[X] Leonardo DaVinci
-[X] Caster
[X]Beowolf
-[X]Berserker
[X] Sherlock Holmes
-[X] Ruler
[X] Chiron
-[X] Archer

So some of these are just servants I like, I think Beowulf is good for a relatively functioning berserker that can act as a big ole beatstick. I like Cú over his mentor… because I like Cú better, but I've included Chiron to take Scathach's place as a mentor of legends type. Sherlock and Leo are just there cause I like them, but they're probably the best learning and intrigue advisors we could ask for. In general, I think this makes for a very intelligent and powerful council.

[X] Arjuna

[X] Ryouma
-[X] Lancer
[X] Tawara no Touta
-[X] Archer
[X] Saito Hajime
-[X] Assassin
[x] Himiko
-[X] Ruler

A beatstick, a diplomat, food, a spy, and an oracle/queen. I want Hajime, because he was an actual spy and commanded the Shinsengumi's third unit, as well as his work as a police officer. Given the sheer amount of characters who just get offed by Skaven assassins, we want someone who can mitigate that. Himiko is also immune to Curse and Poison, giving her an edge against Nurgle as well as Clan Pestilens.

With the invasion right around the corner, I'm doubtful that it's possible to train/uplift and get an industrial revolution going. Besides, Arturia and Muramasa have high Learning; I think it might be a bit overcommitting to get a third Learning specialist. Maybe if they were dropped in a decade or so earlier. We're just too short on time, resources, and political goodwill. Rather, it's better to instead enable the Shield of Civilization, i. e. put out fires and remove the blocks preventing the various powers from cooperating. Brettonia and the wood elves were too mired down in a civil war, the Southern Realms and Dwarves all fail to unify and put up a united front against Skaven/Chaos. I'm still considering options and gameplans though.

Also, lol, giant skeleton assassin can diplomacy better than Arjuna.

Hmmm... I wonder what an optimized list for doing this would look like... something like this, I think.

[x] Oda Nobunaga
- [x] Archer
I know there's already an Archer Nobunaga who is largely superseded by her avenger form. This is me aiming for the legendary leader figure who spearheaded the widespread adoption of the tanegashima teppo, and made Japan one of the world's foremost producers of firearms at the time.

[x] Thomas Edison
- [x] Caster
A servant opposed to mystery, whose power is the factory, reproducible effects, and mass production. Here's hoping we don't get the lion-headed version.

[x] James Moriarty
- [x] Archer
Intrigue specialist with some utility in social engineering. Pair him with Artoria Avalon's skill in robbery and we can probably pull off some impressive plots. With enough setup, can probably take a really good shot at killing just about anything.

[x] Lucius Junius Brutus
- [x] Assassin
A rare hero who can be considered an outright diplomacy specialist. He is notable for concealing his keen intellect in the courts of the late Roman Kingdom and, when the king's son crossed a line too far to ignore, destroying said kingdom with his words, founding the Roman Republic.

[x] Sun Tzu
- [x] Caster
In direct answer to the assertion that there are no 'teacher' servants who would murder any students without the potential to become heroes, I suggest this guy. Hitching a ride with Waver optional. The Art of War is directed towards noble failsons with little grasp of strategy, to bring them up to some basic level of competence, and if I recall he made a point by taking the dregs of the army and drilling them to the level of said army's elites.

Hmmm... I wonder what an optimized list for doing this would look like... something like this, I think.
Going for stats optimisation is going to produce an unworkable team. Three of the people you just mentioned literally can't work together (Nobunaga, Brutus and Sun Tzu).

Also you oversell Sun Tzu's competition in the age.

[X] Ryouma
-[X] Lancer
[X] Don Quixote
-[X] Lancer
[X] Beowolf

[X] Tawara no Touta
-[X] Archer
[X] Sasaki Kojiro
-[X] Saber

Don Quixote is here as an anti-supernatural unit, Kojiro is here because he's my favorite servant and seeing him in his proper class is fun.
Also, I've played neither LB6 nor anything Warhammer, so I am definitely in for a ride.

Example Sheet Scathatch and Cu Chulainn
Does Cu have any notable abilities besides being a high-martial powerhouse? And would his geas manifest as potential weaknesses?
As requested.

Scathatch
Age: Forever 25
Height: 5'5
Weight: 55kg
Gender: Female
Alignment: Neutral Good
Class: Lancer
Hidden Attributes: Star, Monster

Diplomacy: 7
Martial: 13
Stewardship: 9
Intrigue: 9
Learning: 25

Traits
Magic Resistance
Roll an opposed Learning check against incoming magic. On success, the magic fails.
Trivial to deal with.

Magic (Runes)
Can use magic. Specifically, the ancient magic of Norse Runes. However, the effects are not suited for large, spectacular effects in battle.
Magic is not really for fighting itself. It facilitates battle, but it should not be the focus.

Godslayer
Roll 3d10 instead of 1d10 when combating [Divine] enemies. When combat with such beings begins, all nearby units shatter.
To be between a witch and a god is a terrible thing.

Teacher of War
Can bestow any of a large number of traits and attribute bonuses to other Lords and regiments. They must roll an opposed Martial check against Scathatch. If they fail, they become wounded. If they fail by more then 5, they become mortally wounded. Scathatch cannot train an attribute above her own.
My training is quite harsh. Are you sure?

Unbreakable
Battalions Scathatch is a part of do not break in battle.
Oh, you think me pressed?

Depressed
Each turn, roll a 1d6. On a 1, Scathatch takes no action that turn, and watches events unfold. Negated in warfare.
… If only he was a few years sooner…
Cu Chulainn
Age: 21
Height: 6'1
Weight: 70kg
Gender: Male
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Class: Lancer
Hidden Attributes: Heaven, Divine
Note: Cu Chulainn has already benefited from Scathatch's training.

Diplomacy: 9
Martial: 18
Stewardship: 9
Intrigue: 9
Learning: 21

Traits
Magic Resistance
Roll an opposed Learning check against incoming magic. On success, the magic fails.
Hah. It's almost easier to dodge it.

Magic (Runes)
Can use magic. Specifically, the ancient magic of Norse Runes. However, the effects are not suited for large, spectacular effects in battle.
I don't really feel like it.

Subverting the Battlefield
Allows for specialty actions in relation to subverting battlefield expectations. Such actions include the Ath n Gabla, Geas, and unleashing hound packs for tracking. Since his versatility on the battlefield is so high, if it is possible, he can do it.
Well, normally I'd rather just be direct, but if the city is at stake…

Gae Bolg
This hero ignores all invincibility traits. In addition, once per battle he can set his roll to always equal 1 more then is necessary to strike the target, certainly piercing the heart.
Alright. Time to end this. It's gone long enough.

Honour of the Red Branch
When negotiating with other warriors, roll 2d10 instead of 1d10. When negotiating with innocents, can willingly accept a diplomacy roll of -5 in order to drastically improve local conditions.
The strong protect the weak. It really is that simple.

The Leaping Salmon
Can take a special action to fish so long as there is a nearby river. Will always obtain 1d6 provisions in addition to any other provisions.
An army marches on its stomach. So do dogs, for that matter.

Geas
Bound by the rules of over one hundred geas and will never act to break them. However, in exchange, the battalion attached to Cu Chulainn is unbreakable, immune to fear and corruption, and will never rout. In addition, Cu Chulainn, even after being slain, will continue fighting until the end of the battle.
… Sometimes I wish I never accepted them.

Alright alright, I think I've figured out my final preferred list.

[X] Oda Nobunaga
-[X] Avenger
[X] Mordred Pendragon
-[X] Saber
[X] Cu Chulainn
-[X] Lancer
[X] Sakamoto Ryouma
-[X] Lancer
[X] Leonardo Da Vinci
-[X] Caster

Nobu, Mordred, and Ryouma are solid picks who I also really like as characters, Cu gives us not just excellent martial but high learning too and a very nice trait spread, and Leonardo should complement Nobu quite well in the quest to get advanced weapons accepted by the Bretonnians

The only catch is that I would actually consider swapping Cu out for Beowulf actually, I'll see how the votes fall for that one.
