Oh for sure. We see a weird flash of red, feel some huntey vibes, and get a new hunting trait? 100% Godly Bullshit

So some research into the red huntsmen is warranted once we got the time I suppose. Also we should learn to use the devouring crucible's core eating function sooner or later.

Attributes Gained – Strength +3, Agility +3 Will +1

Health Pool 34/34

Qi Pool 18/18

Abilities Gained – Hardened – Nature is unforgiving, to stand firm in the face of it is your greatest strength. You have gained a resistance to damage and piercing attacks. Enemies automatically suffer -2 Successes when attacking you.

Eyes of the Hunter – Bear a wary eye and track your quarry well, your vision is clear, may your skills lead you to success. Advantage on tracking rolls.

A Grounded Form – You chose not to let your spirt soar, grounding yourself in the world of the physical. 1.3 Successes to the pursuit of Physical Techniques.
These are all some really nice benefits, the Attribute gains are nice but the abilities gained are really fascinating. Hardened makes the Lind even more of a tank, Eyes of a Hunter is as stated probably because of Lind being a hunter and the whole Red Hunter thing, the Grounded Form is also going to be a great learning multiplier for techniques.

@Wynter @KreenWarrior I am curious about what visual changes Lind has underwent how different does he look? Also have his eyes been affected?

A boy with violet eyes fingers a runed jade amulet whose gem glows in his hands. A short, chubby male disciple twirls, of all things, a calligraphy brush in one hand as he looks around.

These two sound interesting. Can't remember who Mehdi is but I'd like to get a crafter (?) on the team.

I have to ask though, why do these quests always choose the physical build? Whats wrong with taking the magic build for once? I just wanted one cultivation quest where we can fling some fireballs man, not cast fist or cast stealth.

I mean, forge/threads of destiny leans very heavily into the more spiritual side, though I guess if you don't like stealth it's not up to your standards. But cultivation stories are pretty inextricably tied to martial arts in the genre, so asking for a western style evocationist is kind of an odd ask.

Having a talented merchant on our team would be nice given our, lacking, social abilities. Though given we only talked to Wu Chanying a couple times and turned down her side quest, we might not be able to convince her. Even leaving aside the appeal of our battle bros.

Honestly, I want Bai ping too, but alas we only get to pick 2.

[X] Plan: No Drama

So Lind's skin is now better than the Light armor we got. Hopefully it'll help keeping the enemy successes below 4 so that the armor isn't ruined next time.

Wow. Much tank. Very hulk.

How dare you make me choose like this!

TBH, I think we are best not to pick Medhi. While he is a great bro, he is built in a similar way to us, which isn't as useful when we are working in small teams.
That also leans me away from Liu Zhiqiang. We don't need more hunting skills.
And while it would be nice to have friends with us, that potentially harms them as well, as they could do much more in a more rounded team.
If they do end up in our team, not a disaster, but I'd rather aim to have different skill sets.

my preferred team would be Bai Ping, Medhi and Vijaya, but leaving out one of out friends to ask a stranger feels like a dick move so No Drama it is. But I still want us to challenge Vijaya at some point to get back at her for the asswhopping we got in the beginning and she seems like the right person to be our rival.

I expect she's put some work in too. If nothing else cultivating has probably buffed her stats. It'd be fun either way though so I'm all for a rematch. Either we manage to surprise her and redeem ourselves, or we get to see her hilariously stomp us despite all our improvement and get to see how we stand against one of the best in our class.

Is there a character glossary of some kind? No criticism to the qm's but with the current pace of the updates and the early and undeveloped nature of the story and its characters for now a lot of names kind of fade from my pea-brain.
Like Qian Xia is apparently our enemy but i've kinda forgotten who this is.
