Bloody Evolution (RWBY / LoR)

Saying that...do we have a plan on how to actually get to Salem currently or are we just gonna destroy Atlas and then jump through hola hoops to get to her later?
well personally i don't like atlas so i'm aiming for total societal collapse and kill salem later, but yeah that's pretty much the plan on my end.

[x] Accept
-[x] Do try to make Jacques Schnee fall with Ironwood, wouldn't want him to be alone in misery after all.
-[x] And try to get him a successor too, preferably one that will make him seems like the hypocritical Tinman he is by comparaison.

Binah motions around herself. All magical girls are on the ground now. Deathly pale, shaking ever so slightly. They well remember that day and forever will. "The White Nights And Dark Days planted a seed of change in an unchanging City. Yet the incomplete light weakened it, so that many who should find strength instead shed their humanity. They declined, following their final desire with obsessive need. Hence why I have clarity now, child.

I do wonder if Distortions would still be a thing even if we only have seven consecutive White Nights, though. I don't remember anything about Distortions stopping even after Angela released the Light for seven days, it changed a bit but it seems like it's still happening. I guess one can argue that it's Roland's fault for stopping it just before she dissolved in the Light and completed the Seed?

Though I find it funny that Binah actually successfully threatened Carmen. To think the goddess of light herself would have such a weak spine.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Original Carmen got her entire will destroyed by some kid's stray words, Carmen in the Light isn't much better.

The original plan was for it to be either E.G.O or none at all.

But Carmen and Ayin surprisingly didn't die when they dissolved into the light. So Distortions became a thing.

Sadly, distortion will still be a thing.
Just because C is still in the light speaking. If you wants to stop distortion, C needs to *** off and die.
But the rate of distortion will plummet, I presume, because ayins light It's now in the city and he will stop his lover from doing even more damage and even more misery to the city.
Because he spent the entirety of library of ruina trying to get out by influencing Angela and Roland in subtle ways. If he doesn't do anything when he got out, then I am very much disappointed at him.

There's an adage about best laid plans and all that to be said here.

Also, I just remembered that Dante exists. Distortions are probably still happening across the City even after White Nights 2.

Leviathan has one show up, so yeah, they still exist.

Blue Polkadot Hipster is weird. I remember some people in the discord server saying that he's not really a distortion because his worldview/desire is shaky as fuck and got deconstructed without Verguilis even having to say anything. He's more like the kids that turned into those crystal cocoons rather than Distorting because their worldviews are too fragile/underdeveloped.

If Ash's continued safety is now a legit concern for Binah, how are all of you planning on, say, making sure Ash doesn't get a target painted on her back for participating in an anti-Ironwood conspiracy? (Of which I would suggest naming Operation: Rust Rot, but that's besides the point).

Hmm...

Honestly speaking. This course of action is probably the evilest Binah will act. Because we are working for the fall of Atlas, a genuinely massive amount of civilians will die, industries will probably be destroyed, the global Remnant economy will likely be fucked over side way for a while, and Ozpin himself will definitely not view us as an ally for some time.

Love will probably try to fight against this unless she is gaslighted/manipulated by Binah into cooperating, P-Bird too...

Or at least, that's depending on how...extreme his revenge is. It could be far simpler and less widespread than that. Like having Ironwood lose his job and Jacques being forced to step down from his position.

: What you should be thinking about, is what happens after this Watts gets his revenge.

[X] Tales of pride before a fall are a dime a dozen. You could very easily orchestrate something like that for Ironwood. There's no reason not to accept in that light.
-[X] But perhaps there's another component to that timeless tale. The rise after fall. Ruin Ironwood, but see if he has the will, and ability to learn and become something more. That will at least make it interesting and fulfill your needs as well.

yeah, thats why i voted for the one I did - it felt the most like a precision strike on two people, rather than leveling an entire kingdom. I think as long as ironwood specifically is thrust into despair, watts will be content? I don't know anything about rwby but it definitely feels like its more a "this is the best way I can think to make him suffer" type deal than him actually wanting the kingdom brought low like that.

: It would be rather out of character of you to act so one-sidedly, Ga- Binah.
Baral: D-did she just-
Luda: I can't believe it. She's actually using the correct name.
Zena: I CAN HEAR THE TWO OF YOU WHISPERING YOU KNOW!

oh? finaliy taking my advice and changed your act? how nice, maybe this generation of arbiters are not that hopeless...hmhm. but don't be mistaken, my actions are not yours to judge, at least not the You that stands before me now, much too brash for this old woman, much too arrogant for my companions.

*cough*
anyway, should we at least try to keep watts alive and around? we killed half of the villain team already, we should at least keep the interesting one alive.

Mmm I do not know what to vote for... Voting for this also makes me uncertain. Yet I vote because eh the others make me uncertain as well. This vote is just makes me the least wary of.

But...
Will he truly listen to this boring talk of a tale?

We also aren't really truly aware of the circumstances of Watts.

In canon, it seems like it was just petty envy, but since things are different in the quest, for all we know, his reasoning could be genuine too.

Another thing we need to remember is. Watts actually does want to not have to resort to revenge revenge revenge. And since Binah has once helped another man lost in his own circumstances out before (Roland) why shouldn't Binah help out Watts?

The current circumstances seem like Watts really isn't in this for his own want fully.

Because we are working for the fall of Atlas,

Even the simple *accept* vote is not for the fall of Atlas, Watts is asking to make Ironwood's life hell, not to destroy Atlas. Now, he wouldn't blink if we destroyed Atlas in the same move and making mister *I have two seats in the council but there is absolutely no corruption in the council* topple is liable to make Atlas fall by proxy, but it isn't a necessity.

I like how threatening carmen with the threat of Roland's wrath (plus Angela coming to help) is enough to make her think twice about messing with Ash, and by extension Remnant
