Have a bit of faith, Lurker. Angela surely sent Binah here with her personality in mind. It is unlikely that the retrieval of this Singularity will be something that deviates us from our mission. Have a bit of faith in Binah, my friend. I highly doubt she is the type of person to be lost in a single-minded pursuit.


Going back to the Arbiter grindset.

I am sure we will eventually collide with Salem on the road to pursuing this particular treasure. Would it not be interesting, if this particular singularity also provide an answer as to Ash's status? It is indeed an answer to the oldest question after all. Where does one go when one dies?

Well, I personally have no problems with it, but it seems like the voters don't want to learn more about this, which is a pity, we didn't keep it to release it on the first occasion, we barely touched the surface and everyone's acting as if we already saw the bottom of the well…

Can't we at least shine a light to see better? Is it that difficult? Did the subvotes suggestions somehow came too late?

It is not beneficial to the Library at all. This is to sate Binah's burning curiousity in answering one of the oldest questions there are. At its core, this benefits no one but her.

We aught to learn more, after all it's no fun if we just stick rigidly to out mission, let's poke and prod at remnant until it snaps. We, after all, have all the time in the world and I for one want to see where this arbiter's research goes and I believe the maidens would help a lot in this. It would also let us start uncovering the secrets of remnant itself such as the maidens and the origin of magic.

Remember that we kept it for informations in the first place, releasing it without even trying to see where it'll goes in any way is a waste, also, telling Ozpin about it will tell him that we were the one that killed a Salem's spy for him, it's doing him a favor, we should at least make sure he knows who to thank for this, if he complain about the missing parts in the soul, we can just lie and say it came like that, Binah is the one in charge of that, she can do it without a single reaction.
