It's complicated.we shouldn't let the raiders survive since they did try to kill us and you know they're raiders.......
Which is why sadly we're going to have to get a little brutal in order to survive it.
It's honestly not even about whether the gang has anything useful to offer or not.
The issue is that they surrendered. It would be a incredibly bad idea to set the precedent of killing people that surrender. Then people would never surrender and just fight to the death.
We want people to surrender to us. To feel that they won't just get gunned down if they stop fighting.
[] Carebear Had Enough Of Your Shit Plan
-[] Bury Them
-[] Bury Them
-[] Give mercy
-[] Give an Offer
-[] Kill them
Carebear plan, except I don't want to waste medical supplies on people we will kill anyway.
Also, I want us to keep monopoly on violenece. It's a norm in every country irl, better keep it here. We give not-members ability to kill people in our custody, they will think they can keep doing it.
They'll have to be satisfied with raiders getting an execution. A clean execution, not an angry mob unleashed upon them. That's also something I prefer.
@MajorKO could we build a minor memorial over our dead acknowledging us wiping out these raiders, then burn the raider dead so we can be sure someone investigates?
Damn, sorry, kind of skimmed right over the plan. This is literally identical to my plan, just FYI. I agree with the logic, but yeah.
What do people think of imprisoning the raiders for right now, interrogating them on our coming turn then we can decide on if we want to execute them.
Right now we know almost nothing about how the current world works and can use all the information we can and while the slaves can give us info so can the raiders.
We also need to loot the enemy camp and battlefield for stuff, main try to get the two intact vehicles back up and runing since they would be a massive help for us.
The raiders themselves can give more details about the other raider groups and maybe the wider world, especially if their release depends on it.
Generally speaking servants and slaves in hierarchal societies know pretty close to everything their masters do that is not actively kept from them. People forget they have ears and talk in front of them. These guys do not seem disciplined enough to me to avoid that general truth.
And if you are so concerned about the fate of the slaves, think about the fact that the bandits know where and to whom they sold the slaves, and if we kill them right away, we will not be able to help other people.
