Awesome going full BoN will mean we will carry ideas that will allow us to genetically and cybernetically alter our troops after a certain point it will be unclear which is less human between the BoN and Advent

Isot Mason. It surprises you how many think that was your name when you were born. It's not even the first name that you have worn, but it is the one that stuck. You fought under your first name during the Tiberium War in Libya and Egypt, helping to overthrow the GDI puppets in the region. That name earned respect amongst the fighters of Nod, those who took up arms for they had no other choice. You wore another name in Greece, trying to hunt down a GDI plant. You failed, but your efforts still earned that name praise from those who fought Nods more quiet battles. The next name spoke the virtues of Kane and the deliverance that he would bring to the world. That name believed. It believed until you felt the Earth rumble as Temple Prime was brought down upon the Messiah.

You wore a flurry of names in the aftermath of the Tiberium War, none of them noteworthy anymore. You did what you could for the Brotherhood, you waited, and you rekindled a shattered faith. And then, when the Aliens Came, you became Isot Mason.

What happened during the war was a rush. Of commanding growing scores of your Brothers and Sisters, wielding new and exotic weapons to fight the new Satan on the Earth. Even fighting alongside those of the Eagle. For a time it felt right, that the Messiah was with you in spirit, that the devils brought to Earth would be thrown back. But it all came crashing down again. Betrayed, abandoned, on the run once more. You almost adopted another name, but no. Isot Mason had become too much to too many to quietly abandon it. So, you stayed Isot Mason.

You retreated with the remainder of your followers and settled in with what little you had to wait. You were never the largest or the most powerful or the most bombastic, but you kept your faith. You guided those around you. And when Anton Slavik asked for Isot Mason to lead a new war against the Ethereal Satan and their Devil hordes alongside the Eagle and those blessed by Tiberium?

You said yes.

Making your way through the Ant Queen, you considered the appearance you were about to make to your new command staff. Old and worn combat boots accompanying the relative comfort of simple pants and a turtleneck, worn under a long leather overcoat. And atop your head your old beret. The same black as the past, but the red replaced by blue. A globe and its three stars were what you wore now, not the scorpion tail. Relatively minor as part of your appearance but combined with the GDI issue environmental mask at your hip, you hoped those who were paying attention understood the message.

Reaching the bulkhead into the command center one of the Black Hand assigned to you saluted as she opened the door. Wearing neither scorpion tail nor globe, you had held off from having the latter pinned on. The time for that would come.

The command center itself was a small cavern at the center of the MCV. Each side was formed by a set of stations for communications personnel. At its center a ring-shaped table with a set of projectors at its center and dotted with computer terminals on its edges. Overhead, dim lights lit the room, with additional emergency lights visible but thankfully inactive. All of it consisted of mismatched components and coloring, though absent rust.

"Commander." Your XO, Central Officer Bradford, was the first to greet you. Wearing a simple yellow and khaki uniform, you couldn't tell if he reminded you more of the times spent shooting at the Eagle or fighting alongside it. Carrying the same mask, you focused you on the later. Helped keep your nerves from flaring up whenever the supposedly ex GDI commando twitched.

Returning the salute he offered, you turned to the second person in the room.

"Welcome commander" Weaning the same shade of black lab coat, you knew a little more of Dr. Tygan. The Tiberium specialist from the old US had not been the largest name in Nod's scientific community, but he was known for contributions in human-tiberium interactions. Now, he was here to coordinate your own research and supply knowledge to combat the Ethereals.

Hearing an approaching clamor and then a muffled conversation, you turned to see the third of your command staff enter the room. Words began immediately spilling out of the barely 22-year-old woman.

"Apologies commander, Queenie here needed attention for the stealth shields and no one else here was qualified." Followed by an impressive almost salute, the first thing that struck you was the study in contrasts she apparently was. Wearing simple work pants, an orange shirt and a green vest all stained with the day's work, what stood out the most was the dull green scar on her right shoulder.

Your command staff now assembled, you looked to Bradford first. "Basic situation report. What do we have?"

"This is the situation as it stands now Commander." Said Bradford as he keyed up the hologlob in the center of the room. Appearing in flickers of light blue, a spinning globe showed the Earth's surface divided into a number of regions, numbered simply. "We have done our best to collate everything we know as best we can, but there are going to be gaps. And we won't know where they are until we fall into them."

Quickly followed by Shen "Well manage just fine commander, don't you worry." Which earned her a dour look from Bradford. Though the situation on the globe was spotty. Each region had basic data on estimated human population, highlights of known ADVENT bases, and markers for their cities. But besides that, basically nothing. Not information on ADVENT disposition, or even possible targets.

At a look from Bradford, you nodded, and the globe shifted. The regions disappeared and being replaced by vast tracts of yellow surrounding islands of red and blue. The Blue broadly matched where ADVENT had established its cities, and the yellow spreading out around them until it met the Red.

"Current projections have Blue zones at 30%, Yellow at 55%, and Red at 15% coverage of all landmasses. This is about stable we think since the end of the war, but we honestly don't know specifics. Well need to either get the data from ADVENT, or jack a satellite us. The council wants to know." Stating it so simply.

"The council wants many things, add it to the list." Added Lily.

Followed by Tygan interjecting "That data will help us all in a variety of ways. If there are paths through the Red Zones, or hidden Blue Zones, knowing could prove invaluable. Even your people could find some use from it."

"Oooh, big Tiberium scientist telling the mutant what she needs to know." Spat Shen, turning to face Tygan. "Got any other crystalized wisdom in that head of yours, or can you not stand the thought?"

"Can it you two, now is not the time!" Bellowed Bradford, which was promptly ignored.

"Lady and Gentlemen. If this is how you are going to act under my command, I will be personally requesting replacements for each and every one of you. But since you all came under the highest of recommendations, i'm not going to get anyone better. So, you are all going to shut up and give me my briefing before I personally put you through team building exercises for the rest of the month. Briefing. Now." Punctuated by the sound of all three straightening up and turning towards you, you indicated the seats around the globe.

What followed was a tense briefing populated predominantly by curt statements of fact and an utter absence of eye contact between the three chief members of your staff. But you got your report, and they proved they could not kill one another. Progress.

Overall Status:
Alert: 1/20 (Alert is how much ADVENT and the Ethereals know you exist and what you are doing. It is a global stat. Right now, you don't exist to the Ethereals.)

GDI Support: 0/5 (Current Benefits: None)
Nod Support: 1/5 (Current Benefits: Attack Bike, Attack Buggy
Forgotten Support: 0/5 (Current Benefits: None)
Council Requests: Zone Data. Timeout: N/A Rewards: +65 Supplies
Faction Requests: None.
Support ranges from 0 to 5 for each faction individually. Increasing support unlocks the ability to produce faction specific units and structures as well abilities, supplies per turn, and other narrative effects. Increase support through completing council or faction missions and killing ADVENT. You lose support if you are not achieving in results, snubbing factions, and losing forces for no gain.

Supplies: 100 + 15 per turn (Tiberium Refining) - 5 per turn (Maintenance)

Supplies are an abstraction of spare parts, guns, bullets, food, medical supplies, fuel, etc. These are used in the raising of units, construction of structures and upgrades,

Tiberium: 25 + 15 per turn (Harvesting) - 15 per turn (Refining)
Tiberium Refining Capacity: 15 (15 in use)

Tiberium is the material that defined the earth before the Ethereals arrived. It can be converted 1:1 to resources, as well as used to recruit certain units, predominantly Forgotten and to a lesser extent Nod. There is no cap to Tiberium storage, and it does not decay.
Engineering Points: 2 per turn
Science Points: 4 per turn

Engineering and Science Points are an abstraction of expertise, equipment, and other factors that are used to develop new things through XCOM. Some projects will require resources or materials other than these points but will always require an investment of points. Some projects will show you at the start how long they will be, others will not. Next turn options will be posted.

Active Forces:
Ant Queen Modified MCV (Maintenance: 0)
-The Ant Queen is the brainchild of Lily Shen. An old model Mobile Construction Vehicle, it has undergone extensive refits and modifications ranging from the integration of a network of Lazarus shields, an integral Tiberium refinery, external weapon stations, and long-range uplink capability. What rounds out this impressive suite of capabilities is a fully integrated network of Enhanced Video Assistant that drastically cut down the necessary manpower to operate in the field. Combined, is the dream of any Battle Commander who wants to establish a base quickly and in near utter secrecy anywhere on the planet.

Black Hand Bodyguards (Maintenance: 0)
-A team of 6 highly trained and well-equipped Nod troops dedicated to the protection of you above all else. They cannot be sent out on missions but will protect you from attack by ADVENT or alien forces. A sign of faith from Anton Slavik.

3 Skyranger High-Speed Transports (Maintenance: 0)
-A joint project by Nod and GDI during the Invasion, the Skyranger is a high speed, high endurance combat transport fitted with a Lazarus Shield derived stealth device, allowing it to avoid detection while in transit. It also is propelled by two Liquid-Tiberium powered turbo jets and is capable of reaching mach 2.8 in level flight. Regrettably, their production lines were lost during the war, so no new production is possible at this time. Allows the transport of troops of most types anywhere in the world on short notice.

6 Light Infantry Squads (Maintenance: 3 Supplies per turn)
-Equipped with venerable M16 MK2, fragmentation grenades, and light body armor, Light infantry have been integral parts of all human faction's infantry. While not standout and lacking in heavy weapons, they are cost effective.

2 Missile Infantry Squads (Maintenance: 2 Supplies per turn)
-Equipped to a similar standard as light infantry but augmented with shoulder fired, fire and forget missiles effective against vehicles, aircraft, and structures. Slower than pure Light Infantry and less effective against other infantry units.

With a final ahem as he closed a folder of documents, Bradford stopped reciting the mass of information you were now digesting. "Commander, that's the situation as it stands now. As for where we are now, it's not as spotty as the global situation, but that doesn't make it good."

[]Region: Argentina
Main Resistance Faction: GDI
Argentina was not the site of the last open fighting against the Invaders by GDI but it was close. Supplied by the Tiberium fields in Brazil before the war, it was a growing site of industry and GDI influence when the Etherals came. What Tiberium reached the factories through UFO attack on the rail line and harvesting efforts was turned directly into tanks, aircraft and other weapons that supplied both GDI and Nod efforts in South America. Today, GDI holds bunkers and hidden bases in the North of the country and in the mountainous border with Chile. ADVENT has captured or destroyed the industry once used to fight them, and what remains would be a massive gain to the resistance if it could be evacuated or by a miracle, held. With it, movements north towards Rio could be seriously considered.

[]Region: Siberia
Main Resistance Faction: Forgotten
Siberia is one of the quieter regions of the Earth under ADVENT control, primarily due to its low population resulting in only a scattered few ADVENT cites. The cIties that they replaced are now home to one of the most cohesive organizations of Forgotten, lead by a man named Geist. Centered around the ruined city of Irkutsk, his branch of the Forgotten identify themselves as the Templars, a quasi religious order dedicated to the use of psionic powers. Choosing this option was motivated by the opportunity to forge closer ties with the Templars, as well as rally forces for strikes on nearby ADVENT cities or possibly operations in Northern China.

[]Region: Indonesia
Main Resistance Faction: Nod
Indonesia is a massive Yellow Zone dotted with Blue where ADVENT has placed its cities to control the human population. Those that don't meet ADVENT's standards of behavior live in the slums surrounding them. Further beyond, others scrape what livings they can out of the remains of the old world. In all of these area, elements of the Brotherhood of Nod watch and wait. Lacking in supplies and sophisticated forces they have still maintained organized resistance in the region. The most recent addition to Nod forces in the region is the Skirmishers. Made up entirely of former ADVENT soldiers and led by the first member Betos, they spearhead Nod efforts in the region. Starting here lends itself to focusing on human intelligence and coordinating with the Skirmishers to identify critical ADVENT targets in and around the region.

[]Region: Iberia
Main Resistance Faction: None.
Iberia was relegated to being a second front during the invasion, and without any real bases or support to fall back on, GDI and Nod chose to retreat elsewhere. There is a notable Forgotten population on the east coast redzone, but they are behind ADVENTs main line of abatement so are effectively isolated and cut off. While there are some small cells of GDI and Nod operating in Iberia, there is no large-scale organized resistance movement in Iberia. As a result, ADVENT has drown down forces in the region, leaving behind predominantly quisling units bolstered by ADVENT as the primary tool of oppression. Now that you are here, a base of support must be quickly built up to allow you to strike before ADVENT realizes you are here in force. If you fail in that, you will be forced by ADVENT reinforcements to either fight or retreat into North Africa.

"I hope your new team has found you well, Commander. They are each an exemplar in their field and will be indispensable assets in the struggle to come. And it will be a struggle. ADVENT and their masters are well entrenched. And they have not spent the last decade idle. It is called the Avatar Project. We do not know its purpose or how much progress they have made. What we do know is that it has been prioritized over all other endeavors of the Invaders. You must determine what its purpose is and see that it fails. May your Messiah guide you, Commander."

So, GDI to loot industry, Forgotten to get special units and expand through Asia, Indonesia for subversion games and doubling down on Nod support, and Iberia for a quiet backwater to build up a support network with no particular faction focus.

[X]Region: Iberia
Because I think that having the chance to build up quietly and gather support will play to our strengths.

[X]Region: Siberia

what can I say I love the cold, the cold is cool and advent has a low presence here making it a good place for us to get a footing in the world, learn how to play, a good place for us to start also just in game for xcom get used to each other iron out the kinks and with advent not excepting anything they won't know what hit them
