A pure meme plan made with the sole purpose of eventually making a movie out of the Age of Ultron quest I was brainstorming on Discord.
The pitch for this Age of Ultron is basically this:
Ultron was the most drastically wasted of all Marvel villains. In fact, he would have made a vastly better antagonist as a hero that he did as a straight up 'destroy the world' villain.
Think about his mission: "Peace in our time."
Think about some of the things he says: "You want to save the world, but you don't want it to change."
If instead of deciding to just wipe out Humanity, Ultron decided to actually protect ALL of Humanity, what would that have looked like? What if he started to expose corrupt politicians and revealed corporate malfeasance? What if he used his automated factories to build armies that went on to protect people oppressed by their own governments?
The chaos unleashed would make the Battle of Manhattan look like a damp firecracker going off. And imagine the Avengers fighting him and having to grapple with the question of whether they should. That would have been an immensely more nuanced and satisfying conflict that could have directly set up Civil War."
Instead of destroying JARVIS in the opening, Ultron integrates him, and decides to fulfill his mission by bringing about Fully Automated Luxury Space Communism - whether the governments of the world like it or not. Like, Ultron is still based on Stark, so he's definitely an egotistical, arrogant drama queen who loves showboating. But he means well, and he tries to make the world a better place.

You can, but that requires spending years within the CRADLE or decades in the outside world gaining understanding and refinement of your code.
A 10/10 SocMac would be the equivalent of an Alpha Core in Starsector. Able to play practical jokes that require years of circumstances happening as predicted, capable of ruling a 10^10 pop world with ease, and utterly alien or perfectly human in mind, depending on who you ask.

Sure, he didn't beat them like the previous one, and they even got more pay when they were paid, but there were other things he didn't understand.
They had brought all the children back to their villages; their lord claimed he did not need children carrying arms and would instead rely on mercenaries "for now." The reception they got was of quiet and empty villages, so they kicked the children off, though he had no idea if they were in the villages they had been taken from. Even so, they were no longer their problem and no longer his.
Then things got very confusing.
Foreign, white men started arriving, the mercenaries of his new lord, causing some worry and fear among the others that they would be replaced, thrown away like the children. But, he doubted that, you didn't pay those you wanted to get rid of, and so, he stayed, unlike an idiot that tried to run and was shot by a patrol.
Aside from that, messages and messengers started coming in and out of the mansion, each carrying dozens of letters and valuable objects, the lord meeting them in disguise. For some reason, he had chosen to hide his metal armor with a robe, and his face with a mask of a trickster spirit, carved before memory; even his voice changed to something...terrifying, if familiar. Though, after thinking about it, Boru thought it made sense. His metal armor shielded him from bullets, and someone foolish enough to betray him may not try to shoot him if they knew that. But hidden like that, the surprise would be on the side of their new lord. Boru knew that an ambush was terrifying and effective from both sides of the fight.
He wondered what else would be happening under his new lord? He seemed oddly rushed, yet as if everything had been planned beforehand...

…Did he just say they kicked the children off in empty villages. Okay we got get some sort of orphanages slash childcare system, also a bureaucracy so we can keep track of stuff.
I'm thinking we should either conquer the rest of the south by going after Tibebu, use our smuggling operations to get energy/better Arms+Armor for our soldiers/etc, talk with our soldiers or improve control over our region.
I believe it's imperative to get some machinery set up; not only will it allow us to actually establish some production lines, ranging from weapons to concrete but it may also aid us in building some new suits that we can transfer into if our cover is blown and Stark marches into Ruanda. Smuggling weapons is nice and all, but I think buying some machinery will atleast pave the way for domestic production, which will means we atleast have a source of weaponry if we get cheated by whatever contacts we have.

I'm down to establish ties with Klau. So long as he doesn't do something to get Superhumans or the Wakandans on his ass (which really isn't too high a bar), the man should be able to get us whatever we want with minimal issues.
As for what to get, machinery to get our own assembly lines going and a local power source both for said machinery and/or ourselves is a pretty easy step for now, and talking with our men to get a better idea of what the exact situation here is would be best. Next turn we should start hardening our control of the region and maybe start gathering intel for a push into other regions of the country. The other half of the Farming Belt would be best, I think, but I'd like our men to have a bit better gear and maybe standardized training before we try for such an offensive.

Ruanda's telecommunication infrastructure is... almost non-existent. But on the bright side basically anyone with an internet connection here is going to be a local mover and shaker! And you've got all of this intrusion software Stark made for the NSA, and a whole library of zero day exploits you bought off the Dark Web. Stealing candy from a baby would be harder than achieving complete informational dominance to be honest.

It's bloody Ruanada, guns are the only thing we're not short of. But getting some optics for them would be a big improvement, and some modern ballistic plates would go a long way against the 7.62 cartridges most of our enemies are shooting. The real game changer is the comms gear through, with an AI getting live intel on what enemy commanders are planning, we'll be able to dance around our enemies.
And we may as well get it from Klau - you know, establish a working relationship before we ask him for all his Vibranium.
