It always amused the shit out of me that Marvel gave crime island a name with poor literally in it. Not sure if you're just sticking with the MCU lore but Madripoor has some interesting stuff from the comics as well. Has a national hero, Horus, who was eventually killed by a stolen Iron Man suit canonically amusingly enough. It's apparently the first place Captain America and Wolverine met during their WW2 days. Also, the island is actually part of the back of a giant slumbering dragon and the Hand has some interest in that fact.
Very fun.

We should go to Space.
Literally, with Repulsors and Arc Reactors, I'm moderately confident that with a modicum of work we could build a vessel capable of breaking earth orbit. We should make one with an internal fabrication bay, transfer our consciousness into it, then go to Space for a while to build up an industrial base with which we can use to return to Earth and remake things, with no risk of crippling losses if our first attempt fails.
Stark will never follow us to this accursed place.

Stark was furiously working his screen while dressed to the nines in his standard multirole Iron Man suit. The other Avengers in a prepared but not overly tense state given the length of time it had been, mostly gathered around a cribbage set on a table. "Bingo. Managed to track their trail, it took awhile thanks to Jarvis being out of commission but thanks to some satellites and recordings on the internet, it looks like the thief ran to... Ohio?" His tone took on a very confused note at the last word as his head tilted.
Thor was on his feet, readying his hammer for glorious action and freedom from his impending loss of the cribbage. "Let us be off then, what lurks in this dread "Ohio" where the villain absconded to?" Pictures of potential dread breasts and villainous curs that called the ominously named land home flashing through his head.
"Well in Ohio there's..." Rogers started with finger raising before stopping and thinking, turning to the newer United States citizens. "What's in Ohio these days?"
"There's uhm, well.." "Well, I mean there's.." Natasha and Clint started together, starting and considering before faltering, confused and unable to name anything.
"There's nothing there." Volunteered Bruce with his own confused expression as to why some thief would hide out in Ohio of all places. "There's basically little towns with nothing else. Right? I've been out of the country for awhile, is there something else there?"
"There's my damn suit and the CRADLE in Ohio, that's what's there. Let's get to it team!" Stark snapped, angry about yet more theft of his property and Jarvis being down for now. Whoever stole his stuff and seemingly wrecked his most faithful companion was going to learn a valuable lesson in not messing with his stuff!

Oooh tough choice.
Pros very obvious, high tech, easy pickings for super advanced robot, easy making an army, easy access to internet. Cons, easier ways for SHIELD and their own government to track us with a large population and lots of handheld phones these days. We'd need to move quick to grab power in ways not entirely stealthy probably. Not my favorite.
Advanced tech still, lots of people, but far less organized and far less capable of keeping track of everything in it. We could more easily slip into the shadows.. but has issue of people already in those shadows who might not be positive to a new, AI player in them. Like the Ten Rings.
Poor tech, poor people, probably nobody up to facing against a AI in a supersuit and easy to recruit minions if we can get some cash. Word might spread about us but it'd take a while to get anywhere that the Avengers could hear it.
Nothing.
