So does that mean with the MCP suit we get 3 options?
It means the Basic for the suit body is now MCS. If you picked Pressurized Suit then your bulky bits saved money for an extra addon.

If your vote has MCS, pick 3 more addons.
If your vote has Pressurized Suit, pick 4 more addons.

In other news, CasterCard has the Juice Rig now. Though the limitations of the Pressure Suit aren't as extreme if the timer is only counting when in a vacuum or otherwise pressurized due to hostile atmosphere, I still think we need the MCS first.

Also- skin tight suits~

I feel you, but I really dig the aesthetic o the bulky suits. Shrugging off a bulky formless suit at the end of a long day, wiping the sweat from your brow in a tank top is also good imo

Edit: @SweetJackal you should probably remove this, i think it takes the most recent post for the tally

[X] Plan Mobility and Magic

Goblins canonically love stupid momentum tricks in space. Also, i think casting spells lets you scoot about slowly in space, so no need for rcs

Edit: found the bit from the setting document!

"Examples for Improvisational Thrusters
Full Movement: Using a fire extinguisher or automatic weapon as a thruster.
½ Movement: Using a pistol, mage hand, or eldritch blast for imparting movement.
⅕ Movement: Throwing things away from you physically (shoes, items, and so on) "

Second, more importand edit: a bulky spacesuit lets us enter as a guy-blin, and emerge a sweaty girl-blin! Hijinks!

All right, we gotta suit!

Oh, also, I sneakily have a rule where you get an extra component if you're willing to roll a 1d20 for QUIRKS, someone roll 1d20-2 (this is good, rolling high is bad.)

I'll do it i guess

Edit: well shucks, hope that isn't too bad.
If we can add another thing to boots Clark I'd say gloves are a good idea (or dews, so we can use the rcs inside)

Chapter One: Stop or My Pseudodragon Will Shoot! (1.6)
After a bit of fiddling, you had pieced together a vac-suit you were pretty sure would work. There was a bracing to put your foci on your arm - it took a bit of energy and...for lack of better word, focus to put magical energy beyond the start point of your ring. You could do it, that was the basics behind summoning spells. But it was tricky to do it without punching holes through the suit. But the foci mount on the arm would let you just cast normally without a lot of hard work.

That was less true of the gloves. There were no MCP gloves that were sized for the rest of the suit - apparently, they had been sold off or taken apart in the interim. Fortunately, there were basic pressure gloves that you managed with some effort to socket onto the MCP wrists. This meant that your hands were going to be working in what amounted to thick leather balloons. But that was better than vacuum!

The helmet, though...that was choice.

"Ohhh gnarly!" you exclaim, holding up the thin golden ring that you'd found.

"Oh, I didn't know we even still had that," Kel said, laughing as you tapped the gold disk with your finger and a sleek spacesuit helmet, sized for you, popped right out with a rattling hiss and click. You slotted it onto the neck piece with a grunt, then retracted the helmet by just tugging on the visor, like you were trying to pull the helmet off without disengaging it. The entire thing sank back into the gold disk, folding away into extradimensional space with a rasp of plastic and metal. Your ears perked up and you beamed at Kel.

"Hand me that strap there, I'm going to start spotwelding an RCS thruster here."

Together, you and Kel did the work to get your little outfit together. It lacked a paint job, but it had RCS controls for high efficiency maneuvering out in the black, a comfortable outer edge that you could wear...the whole thing looked great.

"Want to get into it?" Kel asked. "You can hook the gloves on your harness..."

"Yeah!" you said, then paused. "No...changing room."

"You can use the airlock!" Kel said, then laughed. "No, uh, it's okay. I'll turn around. Though, you'd be shocked how quick you get used to seeing naked ass on a spaceship. Like...so often, Xan barely wears clothes some days when we're in the middle of a voyager, it's crazy." She laughed. "Y-You know, actually, that might have something to do with her day job. Or is this her day job and...Xan, is this your day job or is your video stuff your day job?" She shouted that up the hatch.

"Wouldn't youuuu like to knoooooow!"

"Got it, this is her day job," Kel said, turning around before you were even entirely out of your megadeath T-shirt. She blanched. "Oh! Sorry! i...wait, is..." She stopped, pointing at your belt.

You flushed. "Yeah, uh, see?" you flicked the switch and went from boy mode to girl mode, your breasts swelling up in the open air while your body was shrouded in a flash of white light. The light faded and Kel gaped at you. You could actually see the darker red of her blush creep up and up and up and up and up her features, until her entire face was burning a red black of a Tiefling blush. You grin at her. "What?"

"Bummknmjubmembebeleeee right back!" She said, the word coming out as a slurring confusion. She turned around, grabbed the ladder, and scrambled up so fast that her tail slapped the hatch.

"...I hope that's not transphobia!" you shout up after her.

"What?" Xan calls down.

"I said-" you shake your head. "Nevermind." You wriggle into your suit, adjust the tightness and fit, then realize that you've...uh, set the MCP to be boymode tight. You adjusted your belt, flicked a switch, and...sighed happily as the suit felt comfortable around you. You hung your gloves on, then took a moment to catch yourself in the most reflective surface you could.

Slacks grinned back at you. "You look good, Boots."

"Did you say something?"

You turn and see that Danse has slid down the ladder. He turns and flashes you one of those charming grins of his and your tummy goes all flippy floppy. Your cheeks burn and you laugh, shyly. "Uh, thanks, yeah, uh...that was my quasi-linked exocortex," you say, jerking your thumb at the wall.

"Ah, one of those," Danse says, stepping over and leaning in - but Slacks is already gone. "Tentacles, tail, or treacherous?"

"Horny, captain," you say. "I mean, uh, antlers, that is, he's a Fae."

"That's how you managed the sleep spell?" Danse asked.

"Yup!" you said, giving him a quick, bobbing nod. "I'll be ready again in an hour or so."

Danse chuckled. "Well, none of us need sleeping aides that badly. You, uh...startled our incredibly gay medtech."

"Fhew," you said, laughing. "Worried I'd, uh, freaked her out."

"Right now, Kel is hiding in her room being a gigantic lesbian - so, yes, you did freak her out, but in a good way," Danse said, grinning down at you. "Now, you're suited and prepped. How about we see about getting you into the crew rotation."

"Is there a lot to do on an atomic rocket?" you ask. "I mean, beyond just pointing and clicking."

"Oooooooooh boy, you have no idea."

---
You're en route to Zeue with as much commercial consumer grade electronics as the crew could afford (with 20 specie, that's about 10 tons worth - the crew is kind of scraping by currently.) The course is going to take you about 4 days according to the GURPS math (i'm using GURPS space rules for travel time until I come up with something more elegant.)

Your ship has three "Tracks" that need to be dealt with: Tech (keeping things running) and Communal (the social health of the crew) and then your personal Stress track, which is how hard you're pushing yourself.

You have a 100 ton ship, meaning you need 10 shifts total, spread evenly between Tech and Communal.

Each character provides 1 shifts! So, with 4 characters, you have 4 shifts, to spread as you see fit. The more shifts you unfilled, the more dangerous things get - tensions fray, things break. However, you can cover more shifts by taking strain tokens, which you lose by partying and reveling in port because Flying Circus is a really good game, guys.

If you cover all shifts, everything is shipshape! If you miss 1-4 shifts, then we're Strained. At 5+ shifts, it's red line time! rolling poorly on a redline result leads to a catastrophe!!!

SO! DUTY SHIFT TIME!

CREW
Danse: 1/10 Strain | 1 Shift
Kel: 0/10 Strain | 1 Shift
Boots: 1/10 Strain | 1 Shift
Xan: 0/10 Strain | 1 Shift
DUTY ROSTER: 5 Tech, 5 Communal

[ ] Write in how you arrange it, and if anyone takes strain.

Is that 10 shifts a day for each of the 4 days? Or just 10 shifts for the voyage?

Since we only got 4/10 shifts as base, we are going to have to take stress tokens to avoid redlining it. But if it's just a shift count for the voyage, and 1 extra shift gets 1 stress token and it is manageable to do the full 10/10. However if it is 10 shifts a day and each crewmember only gives 1 shift a day, then just getting to 8/10 would be 4 stress tokens a crew member over the voyage.

[] plan from each etc.
-[] Danse: 2/10 Strain | 2 Shift
-[] Kel: 2/10 Strain | 3 Shift
-[] Boots: 2/10 Strain | 2 Shift
-[] Xan: 2/10 Strain | 3 Shift

Edit: i think that works out correct?

To clear the math on this (because I was writing the exact same plan) it should provide all 10 needed duty shifts and have all crew even out on 2/10 stress tokens since the two taking the triple shifts instead of the double shifts are those without stress tokens right now.

no no Boots, it's her newly discovered Transformation Fetish-- Bet she'd love a wand of Alter Self :V

Fun fact!

I have decided specifically how sound and magic interacts, purely so that when a ship arrives at a station and immediately decelerates near a mass buoy using Feather Fall, it makes a really cool WHOMP noise that is audible to onlookers.

Okay, so, PROBABLY doing the math wrong, buuuuut.....

[X] Plan: Pulling Our Weight
-[X] Danse: 2/10 Strain | 2 Shift
-[X] Kel: 1/10 Strain | 2 Shift
-[X] Boots: 6/10 Strain | 5 Shift
-[X] Xan: 0/10 Strain | 1 Shift

Okay, so, hear me out! These guys clearly just lost their fourth crewmember (the cracked bubble helmet), so I believe we should try to both show how valuable we are and that we're a hard worker! This may also have the benefit of showing off our Gobboness to our potential love interests/polycule!

Also, I mean, we're technically a guest, we should try to help out and not be a freeloader.

Heck, alright, I'm convinced. Plus, fun new vices are always good.

[X] Plan: Pulling Our Weight

If only in the interest that we party extra hard in port. Guess it also makes sense thematically that all of Boots extra shifts would be Communal work because she is herding PSUs.

Yeah, pulling 5 shifts is only 4 extra shifts. So Boots would only be at 5/10 stress instead of 6/10. But you got my vote anyways.
