Buffy the Vampire Slayer Take Two

[X] Just as Buffy had a bad time with a dude, so to has Willow. Support your friends. Go out to the Bronze and you Amy and Buffy will see if anyone catches her fancy, and even if not; just try to have a good time.

I don't really want to lead Willow on or upset her by having Xander, her crush, try to set her up with someone else. I love the friendship focus of this write-in so I'm voting for it. :)

Friends and Talents
You set up going to the Bronze with everyone to try and cheer Willow up. Buffy does her best to pump Willow up while Amy keeps her in chocolate and you take the girls out to dance one at a time to the music. You even get all of you out on the floor at the same time dancing together at one point, which is quite a feat for you. You do ask Amy and Buffy to try and find some boys that Willow might like at the Bronze. Both girls outright laugh at you for asking for that, which is humiliating but maybe about what you should have expected for asking them about that. You are a guy at the end of the day after all. It's not like you've got a clue what kind of guy Willow is into after all. Willow is in much better spirits after, so you count it as a success and give her a big hug at the end promising you'll be there for her no matter what.

The annual school talent show was coming up. Principal Flutie had stopped by to gently encourage Buffy that participating in it might be a good way to show school spirit and gain some extra credit. Buffy seemed unsure about it, and you couldn't blame her for that. The popular kids tended to do great in it, but everyone else was pretty much laughed at for it.

Principal Flutie was the one who got eaten by the hyena kids, right? I guess we managed to avoid that here. It's good that the kids were saved from that psychological trauma, at least, if I'm remembering correctly.

Hmm, I don't really remember what happened at the talent show. I have a vague feeling that it was attacked by vampires? I think we should either do the talent show as a group (friendship!) or have Buffy enter alone to show off her Slayer athletic abilities. Unless she's supposed to stay undercover? I'm not sure what to do for a group performance though.

Talent show had like a possessed mannequin or something that was a good guy but enslaved by someone? Or something like that? Uh… I lean towards either no talent show (It's not really a plot thread that goes anywhere) or as a group.

If the principal of the school knows Buffy well enough to suggest that she enter and says that she needs extra credit, then she should probably enter. Xander and Willow can participate to support her. Unless she wants to show off her Slayer skills?

Backstage Work
You tell Buffy that being in the talent show isn't that great, and she can always find other ways to participate in school spirit. She's got plenty going on anyway, she needs time to just hang out with you and have fun. Buffy's relieved to have your support in ducking out of the talent show. Principal Flutie will be disappointed, but you all have better things to do than participate in making fools of yourselves in front of the entire school.

Like dealing with the fact that someone just got their heart removed on the backstage. Even creepier, it was done with a knife. It might have been a human who did it. Buffy's set that this is a monster who did the murder, but you're all too aware of the horrible things that humans can do. You don't know if you want to help Buffy poke around for this one. Every instinct you have is screaming to duck your head down and not draw attention. Stupid, especially since the police are unlikely to catch whoever did it even if they are human. You're just too creeped out.

While I'd like to duck out of this, we can't leave Buffy to deal with this alone. Yes, she's the Slayer, but she's also only one person.

maybe this would lead to honing our creative / lateral thinking?

We can be helpful here. Plus I think I see a good role here.
