Animus Ex Nihilo - A God Quest

[X] Offer aid to the Harsh Mountain. The Devourer is the enemy of all of you.

Hmm, I wonder how much of the plight of our people was because of poor background rolls (since harsh winters are something we can't really mitigate even if we tried) and how much of it was just being absent in smaller ways below the level of abstraction for such a long period of time. This was essentially the first time in a very long time that we were away from the People and unable to hear them or their blessings for such a long period of time after all.

I'd say we should offer aid to Harsh Mountain, but we should also make it clear that we are not their subordinate. Proud Waters and the Sky Child are in an alliance sure, but neither is subservient to the other and we both certainly don't plan to submit to the asshole mountain.

We'll probably gain the healing domain before we get to choose a second herald so we can choose a plant or something then. Also, I knew we should have taken a food action.

Harsh Mountain may be an ass, but the Devourer needs to be dealt with.

I don't think we are limited to sea creatures if we plan to imbue them with Death.

You're right, but if we want one that can enter the water, I suggest an Otter. A Death infused otter that ferries back and forth souls sounds potentially cool, and would be viable on both land and sea. But yeah we can certainly expand our options significantly if we are truly past selecting only sea creatures.

If we imbue a colony of sand dollars with the Death domain, we might be able to make it so any sand dollar can transport the essence of death to us even from deep inland. Just place it on a corpse, perform the death rites, and voila!
Like I said, we could probably use anything if we attach divine symbolism to it.

Mind you that the most difficult part of the journey is in the river / sea. Between prior cremation and the shamans taking burials rather seriously, the corpse management on land is pretty good.

Yes, Harsh Mountains is not our friend, but he is someone you can negotiate with unlike the devourer. I do not think he would break his word and betray us on this, spirits do not seem very adept at deception.

And so we add Land to our alliance of Sea and Sky.

Hopefully we get healing soon.

So the scavenger has leveled up to become a pestilence?
Well ok then, I wanted to make contact with HM anyway.

I think "Blessing the Fishers" action and anything boosting logistics should be Mandatory for the next few turns, the Sea People have been stretched too thin by constant expansion. I mean, we've spread across the River, Coast AND forest!

An unusually harsh winter had made the waters more dangerous than usual and many fishers of the River Village and Bay Village their lives when they ventured out into the ice filled sea anyway
This seems to be missing a word: many fishers of the Village "Lost" their lives.
quite a few of the Sea People had left for hose places,
Typo: "those" places

You emerged changed from the waters and the affairs of mortals seemed ever so slightly more distant to your thoughts as you beheld the villages once more. They had not fared well in your absence.

What if the next time Proud Waters goes to a place of power deep below, and Their People succumb to the elements. Would this make Proud Waters a Deep One; Sleeping the aeons away underneath the sea. Ia Ia Pröüd Wäters fthagn. :o

Wonder if The People will develop enough to go deep diving. In a world of magic and technology, bet they'd consider building a 'Rapture' city pretty fast after discovering the reef. :V

I'd reckon that they'd consider the Deep Reef Proud Waters's Dragon Palace. That's the place where their god resides, and where he crafts his blessings.

So I want to bless an otter with the Death domain and have them do the Protect the Dead action, Since I'm pretty sure thats an action well always throw a power on, and out of our two Death actions we do, they seem More suited to Protecting the Dead then Somehow blessing people. Plus otters can go on both land a water. (And from what i've seen online they can be really good at fighting, which is good for our protector of the dead) However judging by the lack of action to create another herald, we might need to rank up before we can get more.

Next turn, I would like to hunt the devourer, and Spend majority of our energy helping our people. Since they fell on hard times, and I would rather they dont turn away from us because of it.

The only thing is that otters stay in family groups, so they might get lonely...

@Azel when it comes to creating a servant, can we use groups of animals? Like, can we empower a school of fish or a gang of otters rather than just the one?
