The Spirit of Humanity

About Cairo
Just to clear up something that may confuse a few of the people reading this story.
Given that the tribe settled near enough to the famous pyramids of Giza that they could visit them whitout much effort, wouldn't it be correct to assume that the ruins of Cairo would be fairly noticeable and nearby? Why them didn' they get any reference in the previous turns?
To answer this, we need to assume some things about the world of this story: 1 - Some things changed a lot and 2 - Some things have barely changed.
After the first wave of Star Beast attacks on all major source of Orphic radiation around the world, Cairo was practically almost fully destroyed. Couple that with the passage of roughly 12 hundred years, the shifting nature of sand near the Sahara and the slow changes the Nile brings to the nearby geography, it's understandable that the huge majority of what reamained of Cairo is either under meters of sand or taken to the mediterranean by the Nile.
The only pieces that remain visible are not enough to indicate that there is anything substantial buried under the sand.
The reason the pyramids remained practically untouched is because they were not attacked by the Star Beast and because, well... they are made of stone, the same stone that makes up mountains and that can survive for tens of thousands of years, so yeah. They are also pretty tall overall, so even if part of them was buried under the sand, it is unlikely they would be totally covered

[X] Plan: Doing the Locked and making our law.

This seems like a solid plan but I am worried about that invisitext.
Non-humans should not have near-human intellect.

No idea what these guys above are talking about :D , but remember what I told you before, even if you choose something different for the way the world ended, it doesn't mean the other possible ways or the means by which they occurred do not exist.

So this plan is very similar to gale's with one difference. It swaps starting the process of getting more food for ensuring that we have a secure stockpile of food enough to last us.... I want to say it'll at least last us a turn? Considering just how vulnerable pre-industrial societies are to disruptions of the food supply, we want that stockpile. Especially if we're under threat as seems likely because warfare is one of the things that eats food supplies like crazy.

And we're barely even a settled society, so we don't have all those things that made keeping a food supply easy such as granaries and the like. So we really need it even if we don't get attacked because the next crop failure will mean a major famine.

Very Rough Map
Here are some maps to show very roughly where the village would be situated

I put it where I believe would be good location in a few hundred years. I will not even try to guess how the Nile might change after all this time and without the effect of human action

Voting results #7
I seems Plan: Doing the Locked and making our law has won by a sufficient margin. Congratulations to @gale who created it. I will begin writing the next turn now. Also some very non suspicious dice

Turn 6 - Clouds In The Horizon
Date: Unknown
Location: Along the margins of the Nile, Village of Khonsu

You have finished and begun doing a great few things this past year, and it may have been one of your most productive years. It is also the year your human body has finally reached 30, and some of the people that support you have been asking for you to finally have some children.

You don't know yet how to tell them that the process you used to possess this body made it infertile. Besides, since you were made of all of Humanity, you technically didn't have a sex or gender, but due to your first body being male, you think you will have a slight more male personality in the future.

Anyways, one of the most important projects concluded this year was the expansion of the available housing in the village, which has been made with the future in the mind and this problem will only return if your people more than double in number, so everything is fine for now.

While your workers were doing this they also helped the more artistic people of the tribe to engrave some of the more important scenes of the mythology of the tribe in the wall of certain houses, some of the inner part of the wall and a newly created 'central plaza' of the village. Of course there is still much to be done and this will all be need to be redone if and when we renovate these structures in the future. For now however, they have become importante places to visit in the day to day life of your tribe.

They only needed to be guided by my superior intellect instead of you inferior humans

You have also slowly continued the renovation of the now-village's power hierarchy. It is a slow process, but it needs to be if you wish to be thorough in this change. The biggest amount of criticism for this action has already ocurred last year, but a small amount of complains continues to accumulate during the months, not enough to change the amount of people who support you though. You believe only one more year and it should all be finished.

More of the fertile land around Khonsu has also been properly distributed, increasing the total amount of food and other material by a little, but you believe another year will be needed fot the effects to be really noted. To help with this process you took a part of your newly created military and set to patrol the area around the walls of the village, searching for anything interesting or dangerous approaching the walls, but for now they have seen nothing more than a few small desert animals.

Besides that, something very interesting has finished being tested this year, and you are very proud of what the thinkers of your tribe have managed to create, even if you feel kinda useless yourself. You would think that the Spirit of Humanity would know all about technology and how to create it, but unfortunately you only know what the average person would know, and even that is patchy and incomplete.

Regardless, this new building material your people have created is something you have no memories of, and you're pretty sure it shouldn't have the propeties it has, but you attribute that to some working in the Orphic particles in the atmosphere. It has almost perfect qualities to build buildings made to endure and resistent. It is, relatively, easy to make, mold and remove, has incredible durability and resistance and, according to what your thinkers have found, is almost completely inert to almost anything they have applied to it except pure and overwhelming blunt force.

You predict this will become a very important resource for your people in the future, but unfortunately it will not be able to be used so soon. In order to create in reasonable quantities, a dedicated production building will need to be created first, so you should seek to do that as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, you have also received some more unfortunate news in the end of this year. It appears there was unpredictable weather in the direction the Nile is coming from, so some are worried that this may affect this years planting. Another worrying news came from a larger band of migrants that came to the tribe a few months back. They tell of stories of a great inhuman evil leading a large group of monsters to attack other smaller tribes further in the desert. They have been following a roughly straight path to here and they should come near the tribe in the next 3-4 years.

This worries you, since it may be the largest crisis your people have encontered so far. So you should try to do something to prepare for the possibility that the worst may happen. Maybe you won't be able to take that vacation you wanted for a while longer.

Resources

Materials: 210 (+130 per turn)

Morale: 75 / 100

Support: 55 / 100

Population: +-750 People (Just for your information)

Manpower: 4 (4 Actions per turn)

Security: Your people feel more safe, and there is less fear of the outside

Food: All of your people have enough food to eat once a day and still stockpile a little for the future

Actions

- Engineering (1 Free Action):

[] - Bigger Is Better (Sometimes)
You finally have a wall protecting your people from outside dangers. It is very flimsy and will not resist attacks for too long, but it is better than nothing. However, if you want to give your people a little more security, it would be best to expand and improve the walls. You still do not have the required materials to properly upgrade it, but it will at least help it not fall over.
Duration - 2 turns
Cost - 40 Materials
Reward - Slightly Less Shoddy Walls, +Security, +Support

[] - Go Touch Some Grass
Even though it is enough for now, you quantity and quality of building supplies is severely lacking. You don't even have good enough mud to seriously build with. The only thing you have right now is sand, some loose rocks and the remains of plants. This can't continue like this. Send a group of workers to scout the land around your settlement to see what they can find. Hopefully something good.
Duration - 2 turns
Cost - 20 Material
Reward - New Building Supplies and New Engineering Actions

[] - Building The Building To Build Things
You now have very advanced building material that is relatively easy to make and use. However, in order to create enough of it in order to be able to supply building sites around the village, a proper building should be created where this material is produced. This will be relatively costly and it will take some time, but if we really want it we can double the cost and make this building in only one year.
Duration - 3 turns
Cost - 40 Material
Reward - New Building Material, +++Resources, Several New Engineering Actions.
-or-
Duration - 1 turn
Cost - 80 Material
Reward - New Building Material, +++Resources, Several New Engineering Actions.

- Agriculture (1 Free Action):

[X] - Expand The Green
Your people are finally utilizing the arable space around the village a little bit more efficiently, and that has greatly increased our agricultural income over all. This was great for a variety of projects over the year, but there is no reason to stop here. There is a great part of our population that is essentially unemployed, only going to work when it is available. You could change that and distribute even more of the land around the village to workers.
Duration - 2 turns(Locked for 1 turn)
Cost - 30 Material
Reward - +Food, +Morale, +Material

[] - Go Touch Some Grass, HARDER
A few years back, while your people were suffering from a very serious lack of food, you sent a few of your workers to scout the land around the tribe for food and anything interesting overall. I went very well and you got more than enough food to survive, besides a few other things. Now it's time to do something similar, and send a few people to scout a bit farther away and, in particular, see if they can find some different thing for use to eat. Eating only fish and hard bread is getting a bit boring.
Duration - 2 turns
Cost - 30 Material
Reward - New Findings, Possibly New Agricultural Actions

[] - Saving For Worse Times
Your people have thankfully found a solution to their recent food crisis, but it has also showed them an important lesson, that they should not rely on nature to be predicatable, and to always save a bit of food for possible future crisis. Begin a system were a part of the food production of each year is to be saved in order to at least guarantee that your people will not starve.
Duration - 1 turn
Cost - 10 Material
Reward - +Stored Food, +Survivability, -Food, +Support.

- Culture

[X] - My Cultural Identity
It seems that your people have finally found a place they can call home, at least for the foreseeable future. Due to that, it would be best if you began decorating the tribe with representations of their culture and religion. This will give the people the sense they really have a now. Some of them had been wandering the desert for decades, and it would be best to give them a little reprieve.
Duration - 2 turns (Locked for 1 turn)
Cost - 40 Material
Reward - +Morale, +Culture, ++Support, +???

[X] - Reforming The Power
It is becoming quickly apparent that the system of power in the tribe is horribly inefficient. The recent increase in population has began to give great strain to the whole system. It is visible the growing necessity to reform or at least change the current system. However, this change is going to take a lot of time, resources, and will make a lot of people in power very angry, but you know this in going to be best for the future of the tribe.
Duration - 3 turns (Locked for 1 turn)
Cost - 60 Material
Reward - Reformed Political System, --Support, +???

[] - Appease Their Monkey Brain
It is becoming quickly apparent you are not going to get the required support form those in power in order to keep your leadership in time. One thing you can is, unfortunately, suck up to them. Give those that don't support yet a bit of vain glory by following some of their proposals and making meaningless projects. This will definitely appease them and make them support you, but might make the rest of the population feel worse due to this. Oh well.
Duration - 1 turn
Cost - 20 Material
Reward - +++Support, Chance Of -Morale

- Learning

[] - Researching The Plant
A few years back some of the people in your tribe found a very interesting new species of flower that seemed to be able to accelerate the growth of nearby plants. This property would be extremely useful in the growing amount of farms nearby the tribe. It is then a great opportunity to study these plant and see how, where and if they can be implemented.
Duration - 2 turns
Cost - 20 Material
Reward - More Efficient Farming, New Discoveries and New Learning Actions

[]-Researching The Stone
Your thinkers have made an incredible discovery recently and they are very excited to be able to continue to study this fascinating new material. If you let them experiment with it for a few years, they might discover something interesting about it, find a way to make it cheaper and easier to make or even find other interesting new materials! On the other hand, they might also not find anything, so it's a gamble.
Duration - 2 turns
Cost - 30 Material
Reward - Random; Could Be Something Very Cool, Could Also Be Nothing At All

[]-Researching The Weapons
The news you've heard recently, coupled with the bad feeling you've been getting these years, have made you a bit paranoid about outside threats. You can ask for your thinkers to stop doing their more inovative work for a bit in order to focus on more military applications, like the creation and improvement of weapons and armour. This will centainly help to make your fighting force more effective.
Duration - 2 turns
Cost - 20 Material
Reward - Improvements To Military Technology And The Effectiveness Of Our Fighters

- Military

[] - Stop Right There Criminal Scum
You now have an at least decent group of warrior under the command of the tribe, and unfortunately they will be needed. Even if there are less than 1000 people in the tribe overall, some criminal actions still end up being carried out. Most of them are minor acts, like stealing or fighting, but it would be nice if some of these warrior patrolled the village and stopped these acts from being commited. It might also make people happier.
Duration - 1 turn
Cost - 20 Material
Reward - +Security, +Morale

[] - The United States Of Khonsu
You know, having a form of proto military is fun and all, but wouldn't it be better if it were bigger and more well funded? Well, at least a few of the other leader thinks like that, so it should be wise to consider it. You find it hard to dispute their logic that bigger stick to beat other with = better, afterall. You can try to double the size of this military force you have, and it will reach very nicely the limit to how many of these warrior you can support.
Duration - 2 turns
Cost - 50 Material
Reward - Double The Size Of The Military To 100 Warrior, +Security, New Military Actions

Please specify in your plans if you want the 3 turns or 1 turn actions if you add that in your plan. For anyone wandering, the dice roll in the last voting result was to see how long it would take to reach the village, and if you had rolled low enough they would reach here next turn

So things have gone well, barring news of the monsters, but we're 30 and this is turn 6.

Support: 30 / 100 (This is a temporary resource and you need to get it to at least 90 in 10 turns

We're going to need some support actions even if we're probably not going to be able to establish a bloodline. People should know that the spirit of humanity can do a good job of leading if need be.

[X] Better Walls, Better Weapons, Better Warriors.
-[X] - Bigger Is Better (Sometimes)
-[X] - Expand The Green
-[X] - My Cultural Identity
-[X] - Reforming The Power
-[X] - Researching The Weapons
-[X] - The United States Of Khonsu

So lets get these going and next turn we can take the support option for the acceptable moral drop.

Don't want to cut it close as military build up takes time.

I heavily suggest you at least begin to invest in the production of the new building material. It is perhaps the most useful thing you could have gotten right now and has changed practically all of my future plans for the story.
I also need a name for it, so please post what you think it should be named.

Edit: Also, this is the 200th reply, which I find pretty cool, since I never expected to get so much attention so quickly, thank you guys! :D
