Black Dog 3: Misfit Toys
[X]An Abandoned Nomad Camp: The nomads who lived here were all dead. Their corpses and vehicles were the only thing left of their life.
The place was shrouded by darkness, the only illumination came from the headlights of the truck, blaring as the darkness tried to encroach. The moonless night was battling the fog that had settled upon the palace, and you could only watch as the fear seemed to grip your companions.
"What's going on?" You asked as you jumped out from the bed, looking at Mercury as he held the truck, keeping the weight off his broken and destroyed legs.
Mercury breathed out, and in, before realizing what had happened. "Did we cross a bridge?"
Adam raised a hand. "Crossed several bridges, trying to go North, back to Argus."
Pyrrha then raised her weapon, and shield, as the bodies and vehicles started to shimmer, as if they were never there. "What's going on Mercury?" She asked as Emerald took a second to draw her weapons and stand behind you.
"We should have done something that seemed more realistic, like say, steal an airship!" Emerald complained. "Cause now we're in a serial killers trap."
"Well, not exactly a trap." A voice spoke over the intercom. "Good work Mercury, seeing as you brought them to the Isle itself without me needing to drag their corpses to the pile."
Your eyes went to the boy, who instead of protesting or fearing the deception, just shot back. "You forget it's the only place where I can kill you. No semblance for you dad."
"Yes, but that was a horrible miscalculation on your part my boy. See… when they are gone, we're going to have a nice long talk about what happens when you betray your family's trust!" Marcus responded as the intercom shut off.
"Don't touch anything shimmering, otherwise your souls will be trapped!" Mercury warned.
"What the hell is this place!?" Adam growled as you took a moment to prepare Winter's Fulch, shifting the heavy blade onto your shoulder to hold it.
"Nothing is ever truly gone when it is taken, Semblances, souls, even the broken memories that we long forget. This is the place where it all goes!" Mercury replied.
"What like Magic?" You asked.
"Quite surprising isn't it, a weak point that the Brothers left behind when they killed everyone the first time!" Marcus shouted as he appeared, jumping down with a rifle in hand.
"You have entered a place that only two have ever entered, and more will never leave. I'm going to take everything from you, and you will still be trapped here, for eternity!"
"You are loco for coco's my friend," Adam stated as he got ready. "Hope you're ready to meet your maker."
"Oh come now boy, I've met those gods before, and I find them lacking, seeing as they were so petty that instead of learning from the mistakes that they made, they threw a tantrum and killed everyone on Remanent. Even the ones that parlayed and replaced them for a time were lacking, because they weren't gods, they were just survivors. So why not just end it all, no Gods… and no Masters!"
"You make yourself sound like your the only sensible one here?" You stated. "Problem being, you're an assassin who wants to kill us."
"Kid, if you knew half of what I knew, killing as many as possible would be considered a mercy." Marcus replied.
"Your insane dad." Mercury shot back.
"Perhaps. Perhaps I'm the only sane one." Marcus said. "But now the time for talk is over. I'm am going to kill you all now. Mercury… if you want to have your semblance back… perhaps you can help."
You frowned as you turned back to face Mercury Black, as you saw his face.
The Choice of Mercury Black:
D100 => 92+50=142
"Fuck you dad."
Marcus chuckled. "I can always make another child who won't be a disappointment. I shall see you in hell."
What do you do:
[]Force the Battle: You are going to fight this son uva bitch until he dies.
[]Try and Flee: Well hasn't blown the bridge yet, so you have that option.
[]Breaking the Isle: This place is a weak point in reality… so what if it breaks?
[]The Family Reunion: "HO HO HO!" You turned around and saw the red jacked of Nicholas Schnee. "My Dear Grandson, why didn't you tell me you were visiting?"
AN: 4 Months, three binge-watches, and a great deal of planning later. We're back.
