I don't think that would be in character for Whitley to say considering how much of his personality and goals are wrapped up in ideas of legacy. Unless he was intentionally trying to hurt Willow as much as possible. I doubt it would faze Jacques.
The thing about Whitley is, that despite the hell he has been through in his life, he does genuinely love his parents for the fact they gave birth to him, and that he was alive.
However, that does not mean he can or should, respect them in any way for their actions.
Resenting them is something that Whitley does, yes, but as @Birthday has said, he is also extremely attached to his legacy and lineage as a Schnee, so him desiring to never having been born for them goes against his motivations.
To add to that:
Whitley is a child, and unlike you guys, and myself has an incomplete picture of his family.
He is so wrapped up in living up to the legacy of Nick Schnee, that he does not see what that did to his mom (Drove her to Jacques, to drink, give up on her dreams of being a huntress and in the end, euthanize her father, which traumatized her)
Not that it excuses her, but it does paint a picture of her actions and what she considers justified.
Saying to Willow that she is a failure of a Schnee? Now that's something I could see him doing.
Correct, in fact he already has
No idea what could hurt Jackass ("That thing doesn't even has feelings!")
The only way to hurt Jackass is to remove his legacy.
anything else he would view as an annoyance he can buy off, or cement him as a Mayter
See, I'm actually able to believe that from him in high stress, because he would be basically going crazy with the stress and pressure, but so far, we haven't done anything that is too stressful for us to reach that point, outside of the obvious Wess' kidnapped.
...
This adventure is going to push you to the limits of the stress a 12-year-old can take, especially our little snowflake.
Same.
Willow is as bad as Jacques, and, fair play, at least Jacques actually gave Whitley the tools he needed to succeed in life and participated in his upbringing. Willow didn't even do that.
Willow was his mom, and before Nick died, was actually a positive, if distant influence on his life. since he was a toddler/baby, he never really had many memories that affected him, save for story time with Santa.
Once she turned completely into the bottle, however, all the good memories stopped and his idolization of Santa grew even bigger.
Once again, this family is fucked up.
Weiss is really the only redeemable one from the family, so picking her up and yoinking her to Argus underneath Willow's nose would be the play while she softens up the defenses for them.
Weiss is most likely going back home. Because despite our actions, we haven't affected Weiss all to much, even with the kidnapping.
That may change, but as of now, she's on her canon path to Beacon.
It's just her way to get to beacon might not be... Legal.
I honestly don't care about Mercury, but this brings the least variables with a promise of a consistent and effective performance. As long as Marcus kills anyone that walks in front of them and allows Whitley to extract Weiss, it should be fine. The worst that can happen is that Mercury snipes him on the mission, but even then, he'll do it after most of the work is done, when Marcus is tired, and so it won't be Whitley's problem. Might even save him some money.
Marcus and Mercury's little.... possibility is arguably an adventure in and of itself...
But alas, we are on a rescue mission.
The finest and most cutting revenge a neglected child can give is not cruel words or rejection. It is to move on. To treat them forever as strangers. To great them as you would any Random person on the street. Politely, but wothout familiarity. To talk of cherished memories as if they have no part in them. The denial of significance, of meaning in the life of ones child, is far beyond pain. It is the threat of irrelevance, of being forgotten, and it is soul crushingly terrifying.
...
A Good thing too.
In general, neither of his parents were positive influences in Whitley's life, most of his good morals come from either his sisters (we know that he values Weiss enough to risk his own safety, either economically or physically), Klein (He is probably the only non-toxic adult influence in his life), or from his now death grandpa' Schnee (Pretty much his idol and the only decent adult inside the family).
All is correct, save for one thing.
Willow is at least... Trying to become better.
The key word is trying. She may not succeed, but at least Whitley will know that he had that effect on her. And perhaps in the future, that their relationship can be repaired.
I have a softer spot for Willow because she is at least trying, but until she drop the bullshit excuse of 'it was for your own good', then she is in the same boat as Jackass.
The only way for that to happen for Willow is to move forward.
Keep moving forward... Damn, now Monty is making me cry again.
Yeah and probably also say he wish his dad was Nick instead
Now I'm going to stop you right there and say this.
He hates Jacques and really does not like his mom.
But Whitley would never, ever say something like that unless they truly did something horrendous to him or his sisters.
