Santa is at six
Well I suppose this combined with Whitley running away from home would be a source of Willow deciding to change, or die trying to do so."What would Grandfather think of you, seeing you like this? Rambling, drunk, and lying to me… especially to yourself?" The question you asked stopped your mother in her tracks. Stopped her rambling, her excuses, and made her fall back onto the chair she sat in.
Alright so what is essential? You didn't have much time. But your mother was still in shock, and would not think of you running away. Father would not be back for another day or two… and Weiss… Well...
You wanted to ask her to come with you… but you knew she would refuse.
But you needed to gather the essentials.
This is not essential, and is a burden until 2 years from now.[]Grandfather's Sword: Nicholas' Schnee's Greatsword, currently just gathering dust in the main hallway, overlooking the front door. Everyone would notice it going missing. But it was not supposed to be hung up like some artifact… it was meant to be used. Unfortunately, you are also far too small to use it properly right now, but it is a legacy you wish to uphold. (Gain Item: Winter Fluch)
Useful but not essential imo.[]Jacques Computer: Your father always hid secrets on his computer, and you are going to download all the files from that thing before you leave. If he tried to chase after you… well, you hope he would not mind a little bit of his dirty laundry coming to light. (Gain Item: SDC Files)
Hm. Well if Willow is inclined to intentionally follow up on the whole kill herself with it this would be useful to take.[]Mother's Revolver: Once, a long time ago, when your mother was young, she dreamed of being a huntress. She stuck to a tradition where she would use only dust… but instead of a sword or dagger, she used a Mechashift Pistol she designed herself. She lost sight of those dreams when she married Jacques… and lost any hope of being a huntress when she realized that she was trapped in a loveless marriage. Now it just sat in a room. Unloaded… because if she had loaded it, Mother may have killed herself years ago in a drunken episode. (Gain Item: Schneefall)
Valuable for stress, and memories of better time we either need to take this, or the[]Grandfather's Coat: A Soft Red Wool Coat, made by his mother when he was a young man when his father died. It was a fixture of Nicholas Schnee, even more than his famous suit of armor that he wore on expeditions. It was something that many remembered him in, with a jolly laugh, a well-kept beard… a round belly… A warm smile. It was far too big for you to wear properly, but… you couldn't leave it here. It still smelled of peppermint… it still smelled of him. (Gain Item: Grandfather's coat)
This is helpful for stress, and is a reference to the WoR related to the SDC, which had Santa Schnee wearing a cool scarf.[]Weiss' Scarf: A gift from Weiss on your birthday. It was a red scarf that was embroidered with the Schnee family Emblem. She made it for you… to celebrate how far you have gone to be better. To be worthy of your name. (Gain Item: An Embroidered Scarf)
Useful for not getting caught, and gaining entry into a combat school.[]Fake ID: Your Father was… paranoid for your safety, and always planned to travel as different people, so that you were never… targeted for kidnapping and ransom. It always worked out in the end. It may even help you stay away from your father. (Gain Item: Fake ID)
This is necessary if we want to find employ trainers, and/or make use of any plans within the archives.[]1 Million Lien: You were pretty sure that all these unmarked and untracked Lien cards were for emergencies only, like ransoms, or hostage negotiations with the White Fang, if they ever reached the house. Oh well, this counted as an Emergency. (Gain 1 million Lien)
Useful but it belongs to Weiss.[]Winter's Comm: Winter gave Weiss one of her private communicators. One that could contact her anywhere in the world. It was... a gift, to stay in touch. To remind Weiss and you both that she was okay. (Gain Item: Atlas Specialist Comm link)
This would be useful if we had a plan to immediately use it, and the combat skills to back it up.[]Huntsmen License: Mother… never formally passed Atlas Academies final test. However, she was granted a huntsman license by General Ironwood because she… well did everything else before she got married. With a little bit of hacking, you can turn yourself into a licensed… if not fully legal, Huntsmen. (Gain: Blank Huntsmen License.)
There are likely plans within there that might prove rather useful for building connections through financially successful ventures. This is a long-term utility though,[]The Archives: The Schnee Family Archives… They were digitized five years ago and are now a private collection that only a select few could even access. Lucky you, you had access to all those books… maps, and plans from when Nicholas was still alive. (Gain: The Archives Scroll)
We'd need an ID here to avoid detection.[]Vale: A Land of Fresh Starts and opportunities. Safe… for the most part, prosperous, and a place where you can begin again… the only problem is people noticing a white-haired runaway who looks suspiciously like… well Whitley Schnee.
Well what Whitley can do without training is somewhat limited given he has a rather noticeable Semblance.[]Vacuo: A Land where titles and names do not matter. Scared by war and still rebuilding, Vacuo is a perfect place to find yourself. No one cares who you are in Vacuo… only what you can do.
Meh.[]Mistral: A Land of Ghosts and Criminals. You only knew the stories. People could be criminals… people could be honest. It was a land of warriors, of celebrities on one side… and a seedy underworld on the other. No one was in between… But you could make things work.
The location should allow us to avoid the need of a fake ID, and offer trainers for combat.[]Argus: The Northern coastline, a beautiful city and home to Sanctum Academy and the Brilliant 300 man melee. A Place where legends are born… and a quiet enough town that no one ever notices it.
Bad idea. Like yea most of them won't try to kill Whitley, but going into another hostile environment is a bad idea imo.[]Menagerie: THe Unofficial Fifth kingdom. The Promised Land to Faunus everywhere, and the last place where your father would ever look for you in. A rich land, a safe land… if only for one problem. The White Fang. They hate your family.
If we got the sword instead of the gun I would vote this. Personally I'd say our semblance is enough of a defensive option on its own for now
THe Coat is special in other ways.Maybe there is a possibility that the Coat when used with the Sword, allows the user to ignore the size and weight drawback.
That is not what the coat does at all.Since Nicholas is implied to be Santa, I remember in Fairly Oddparents series, Santa's bag could be used as a coat; so maybe this coat is actually a magical bag, which as we all know that Santa uses to stuff innumerable amounts of toys and he carries them with ease.
Lets just say that it would be an intervention that would have went... poorly.
Well Stress is a hidden thing, and you may have gotten a negative health trait out of that.UFFFF...
That would have been a breaking point for poor Whitley, his stress would have reached critical levels.
The Revolver itself is very well made, and is perfect for a little, growing huntsmen.Revolver: I am positive we are going to need a weapon sooner rather than later, and while I would like to take the sword, right now we're a little too small to actually use it, and I'd rather not risk getting into trouble before that changes without something else we can use instead.
You could always escape? I've planned for you getting caught just in case.Fake ID: Let's try not to get caught and dragged back to the Schnee manor, shall we?
That is a secret.
The Thing about the White Fang is that they are already radicalized, and they have no qualms in murdering children.I'd rather go team up with Ghira, because the sheer drama that will occur when Whitley, the simpering little brother, is reintroduced to his family fighting for the faunus would be awesome. He has enough dirt to be a valuable asset, and an auspicious weapon to defend himself with if something goes terribly wrong before he can get on his feet. Thankfully, since he has Glyphs, he should be able to defend himself long enough to make his appeal.
Now I know that Blake is awesome, but she hasn't been... disillusioned by Adam yet... also being abused by adam to leave and try to change...He'll even get to work at distinguishing himself by getting a tan! He also has the opportunity to meet Blake, the most interesting of the RWBY girls aside from the one we just left, and that's just an aesthetically pleasing team up-a White Knight with a Black Shadow.
unless you can offer them something... you are a target.Teaming up with the White Fang also protects us from being targeted by them in the future, & it would allow Whitley to taper down their assassination attempts in advance, because while I'm sure he resents his family at this point, he wouldn't actually want them dead.
...No comment.I mean, Vale would also put us in the focus of the Salem stuff, which includes a lot of Vale's WF, so protection against them isn't really something to look forward if we go to Vale.
It is not a trap option.I think that Winter's comm unit might be a trap option - a military spec communicator of that range would probably be easy to track, and I wouldn't put it past Winter to put a tracker unit in it in case whoever it was given to was captured by the White Fang. Huntsman Licence could be useful in the future but not now - Whitley doesn't have much in the way of combat training.
Pyrrha is 15, and is about to start her second year at Sanctum. and she has one her first of 4 tourney victories.@Magoose You mentioned Whitley is 12 at the moment - how old is Pyrrha at the moment? She's apparently the same age as Weiss in canon, so I'm just trying to work out how much younger Whitley is than his closest sister, and also if he does join Sanctum how many years behind Pyrrha would he be (just in case we can get the Pyrrha-as-sempai mem going)![]()
Iaido vs HEMA I assume. Or fencing. Depends on what kind of sword it is. Anyway I'm a man of my word so......deal. A sword is better for a White Knight anyway, even if it isn't as auspicious as Schneefall. The original owner is more meaningful to, I really don't care for Willow after what she just did.
But I just really want White Fang Whitley. It'd be so cool.
Getting into a swording competition with Adam would be fun.

I like the thought behind this a lot, but I'm unwilling to change votes.
QM mentioned it is a Greatsword which is 6 feet long...Iaido vs HEMA I assume. Or fencing. Depends on what kind of sword it is.
Pardon me I appear to be completely blind.
Honestly I disagree about it being a good plan as it takes nothing imo that falls under the essentials of keeping Whitley from being dragged back to an abusive family situation. Like don't get me wrong long-term things can be fun, but I doubt we'll keep them if Whitley is dragged back. This looks like a good plan, but I think that it would be a better idea to go to mistral. In mistral there is a more wide crime web that could be of some used for us. We have always been someone that was from nobility, so they would not think instantly to search for us with some criminals. We might hate it, but Jaques is good at making deals and running things to get the most of it, maybe some of that passed to us and with that we could become someone powerful in the crimeworld. Obvioulsy we would need to find a way to hide our real identity but that can be achieved in after we have made some contacts in Mistral
Pyrrha is 15, and is about to start her second year at Sanctum. and she has one her first of 4 tourney victories.
Hmmm... I've been thinking in changing Vacuo for Argus in my plan, but I would like to know if anyone who voted for it would still be ok with it if so.
Having an easier time becoming Huntsmen and becoming friends with Pyrrah is very tempting.
Hmm, you know what, sure. It's only the first destination, and I'm sure we'll be able to make this work or go somewhere else afterwards.I'd be happy to vote for Plan Lone Snowflake if you change the destination to Argus.
