Okay, okay, hear me out!
[X] Plan Snow Leopard
- [X] Jacques Computer: Your father always hid secrets on his computer, and you are going to download all the files from that thing before you leave. If he tried to chase after you… well, you hope he would not mind a little bit of his dirty laundry coming to light. (Gain Item: SDC Files)
- [X] The Archives: The Schnee Family Archives… They were digitized five years ago and are now a private collection that only a select few could even access. Lucky you, you had access to all those books… maps, and plans from when Nicholas was still alive. (Gain: The Archives Scroll)
- [X]Grandfather's Sword: Nicholas' Schnee's Greatsword, currently just gathering dust in the main hallway, overlooking the front door. Everyone would notice it going missing. But it was not supposed to be hung up like some artifact… it was meant to be used. Unfortunately, you are also far too small to use it properly right now, but it is a legacy you wish to uphold. (Gain Item: Winter Fluch)
- [X] Menagerie: THe Unofficial Fifth kingdom. The Promised Land to Faunus everywhere, and the last place where your father would ever look for you in. A rich land, a safe land… if only for one problem. The White Fang. They hate your family.
This, ladies and gentleman, is the White Fang route.
The idea is simple. Whitley wants to be a Schnee worthy of Nicholas, and to do that, he must forge a kinder vision of his birthright. There are two options I see for this-Whitley going to Menagerie to help the faunus, or Whitley going to Vacuo, in order to rebuild his family empire with his own two hands, separated from the burden of his name.
I'd rather go team up with Ghira, because the sheer drama that will occur when Whitley, the simpering little brother, is reintroduced to his family fighting for the faunus would be awesome. He has enough dirt to be a valuable asset, and an auspicious weapon to defend himself with if something goes terribly wrong before he can get on his feet. Thankfully, since he has Glyphs, he should be able to defend himself long enough to make his appeal.
He'll even get to work at distinguishing himself by getting a tan! He also has the opportunity to meet Blake, the most interesting of the RWBY girls aside from the one we just left, and that's just an aesthetically pleasing team up-a White Knight with a Black Shadow.
Teaming up with the White Fang also protects us from being targeted by them in the future, & it would allow Whitley to taper down their assassination attempts in advance, because while I'm sure he resents his family at this point, he wouldn't actually want them dead.
Adam and Illia (who, according to the trailers, are the same age) would be Whitley's biggest issues putting his foot in the door in Menagerie, and defusing their antagonism sounds like an arc in itself.
The strong story offered by this option is what I find most intriguing.
Edit: Went from revolver to sword for the tighter connection to being a 'White Knight'. Also by popular demand.
