(For those not in the know, The TIE/HU Hunter is essentially an X-wing as created by the Empire. Not as amazing as a Defender, but not as outrageously expensive either, and has a hyperdrive and shields, which can be a significant edge in the right circumstances. The hyperdrive in particular is good for picking fights on our own terms.)

We are trying not to panic after the death of th emperor, and doing a coup against the legitimate civilian authority is the exact opposite of not panicking

Also, Army fucker things he can order round the Navy, such arrogance can not be allowed to stand.

Build connections with other loyal members of the Navy, secure more material for our command, keep weapons out of the hands of an encroaching rebel fleet. What's not to like?

Let that fool General Thiromer keep causing problems on Chandrilla, its a problem that will solve itself when he oversteps too far and gives Vaere and excuse to deal with him.

Those orders are worrying. I don't like the idea of handing over ships to Shadow Hand, but if we refuse, we're looking at some potentially severe repercussions. Looking into them give us information on the politics going on in the Imperial centre, information we can use to either avoid danger or capitalise on. It might also give us an excuse to keep our ships!

Well, when he did so without the consent and support of the planetary governor and kept trying to pull the Navy into shit he started. There's nothing wrong with shooting peaceful protestors per say, he's just doing it badly and outside the chain of command. We are the Empire, after all.

Honestly, let the general cause his shit, that'll be small time in the long run and his own damn problem. But orders to transfer ships into the fucking deep core is absolutely sus. Not to mention boneheaded in light of the NR's progress after endor. Simply put, tell the general if he doesn't stop pestering the navy we'll blow his HQ (And him with it) to hell from orbit.

As for the fleet, keeping them sharp would be the best use of time; shiny toys doesn't compensate for a lack of skill in using them, and the IN is good enough anyway. Be great if we can actually bag a few Defenders or Avengers, but Interceptors are good enough to go toe-t-toe with X-wings and the like, and they can be retrofitted with shields as necessary too. The lack of hyperdrive isn't a big issue as they're support for the big ships rather than the entire focus of naval doctrine. And we have raiders for scouting duty and such.

This is the Empire. He'd probably get into more shit for not shooting them.

Anyway, these orders are sus as fuck. They could be from anyone from some dickhead trying to play warlord in the Deep Core to the Empire's true worst enemy, a still-alive Palpatine.

As for the fleet, I only see "do nothing," "do something," and "capitulate to sus orders." I'll pick do something, thanks.

I don't think we could justify that in-character. Unless Palp did some heinous shit to her personally, anyway.
