Far as I understand it, this is unnecessary: we get +2% or +4% per timeblock, regardless of the level of tuition we buy, only difference being the ceiling.
We are at 18%, even with the maximum gains of 28 percent points, we'll only reach 46%.
So the 50 points option should be enough (that one caps at 50%).

I kind of imagine Zhi Gao using this in combination with, like, a wood-technique grappling hook or some other way to reorient himself in order to zoom around very fast without needing to start and stop it as much. And, well, water is a fluid, as is air, but it will probably work best near water.

Most of the people we talk to have been saying they think we'll make Inner Human by the end of the third month, in two weeks. I might be overthinking it, but I want to at least get to 9th step in both paths by then, then we focus on bringing our skills and techs up to par.

Or we can go like sharkgirl said and raise cultivation to try for inner human before depart.
How many weeks do we have before we leave? Is it feasible to get to Inner in that time, and if so, when will we have to start to focus on it?
You know, when Ma Gang first said he'd be surprised if even Jia couldn't make Inner Human before we left, I assumed he was referring to when the ship left port after 3 months.

But for Zhang Shui's words here I'm pretty sure she means if we're Inner Human by the time we leave for the fighting at the end of the year, then e get to choose?

I think we may still be under the effects of the still mind pill and hardy body pill, the info about them does not list a time limit, unlike the other pills it only mentions that they work till first step inner human.

@Kadmus is this the case or are they limited to one week of effective use time inline with the other pills?

21 blocks of Mental Cultivation isn't enough to reach the peak of 9th Step. A better alternative would be

In this plan we will attempt to achieve peak 9th Step Mental Cultivation before spending time on tutoring Melee Combat. We can use the remaining of Melee Combat tutoring next week if we don't have enough time this week.
 
To answer some questions:
- You need to be Inner Human to pick your own position in the army. This has to happen before you leave the sect to fight - you've got around 9 months to do so.
- The sect will sail around on the open ocean for three months once it leaves port. It will then go to a different city to dock for three months, and then leaves for three months to patrol the ocean again.
- Pills last for a week, unless specified otherwise, so no, none of the pills you have taken are still in effect.
- Novelty is a valid socialise target.
- I didn't even realise I'd named her like one of the spiders from Mother of Learning, and now I can't not see it.
 
We could look into being a battle field medic or a spirit pacifier (some one who calms or forcefully stops rampaging spirits). If the second is even possible? These two seems like it would be fun
 
Based on the info we got I do want to contract atleast 1 mount spirit since speaker makes excellent cavalry although im willing to wait until we got a bit stronger to find a great mount.

Talk to an expert(s), grind Mind as that's the track we'll want to advance next (as it's the one lagging), and train melee combat as a lot of people seem to want it right now.

I did - I forgot to apply it. There are two rolls it would be applied to, and I've just used random.org to gen up two numbers: 78, 25. No successes.

I will try to remember it in the future! (I am very bad at remembering mechanics a lot of the time).

We have two more weeks at port before we set off. Considering the main hard goal for Inner Human is 'before the end of the year' I feel comfortable not pushing for peak Outer Human before we set off, so I'd rather get our two main Stats up another rank before we do any more base cultivation. Partly because of the better rolls, but also because of these:
50 sect points
- Still Mind Pill. Forces the opponent in mental breakthrough rolls to use their worst roll, instead of their best. Effective until Inner Human First Step.
- Hardy Body Pill. Forces the opponent in body breakthrough rolls to use their worst roll, instead of their best. Effective until Inner Human First Step.
If we get to Rank H then we're rolling 3 dice, which means with these pills our opponent in breakthrough rolls has to roll 3 times and pick the worst, which is just great.

I wonder if there's techniques for buffing your spirits or allies in general becoming something like a minion master with buffs could make us pretty versatile and strong maybe some debuff as well
