Definitely not Bashmouth, I'm mostly convinced he's the Anitrix version of Rath. Overall, you got Gax/Shock Rock/Slapback/Surge + Overflow which is just chunky Water Hazard.
Admittedly I kind of liked Gax being a deliberate attempt to weaken Vilgax, but I really just think it'll be cool having Taylor unlock the Chimera Sui Generis form. Gax is specifically Vilgax's DNA, not just a "normal" Chimera Sui Generis.

Monday Morning, August 24th, 2009
It is early in the morning when your eyes snap open. In all of an instant, you are no longer asleep, with not a single dreg of slumber in your eyes or even a hint of exhaustion. The same thing happened yesterday as well, at the time you simply put it up to how crazy things had been, but now...
Well, you'll hold out hope for one more day, but... Once is an event, twice is a coincidence...
As you make your way down stairs, you can see the barest hint of sunlight slipping into the room, at the absolute latest it might be six, but another part of you would guess that it isn't yet 5:30 in the morning. Wandering through the kitchen and the living room for a short time, you find yourself... restless.
It is so early in the morning that you can't go out and do anything, nor can you really watch TV without waking up your dad. You are just left... the thought trails off in your head because you don't even have an answer to what you are left with.
Well, other than boredom. Lots and lots of boredom.
Slowly, ever so slowly, time passes, until the sun has finally come up. Walking back and forth across the living room again, you find yourself glancing out the window again. There, a thought comes to mind. You are so bored, surely it'd be fine if you go and... jog or something? It's definitely not a bad idea that you are trying to convince yourself is a good idea.
Definitely.
Probably.
Before you have the chance to psyche yourself out of the decision, you make a choice.

...Eventually, finally, time passes. Breakfast is had, and you say your goodbyes to Dad as he goes off to work, before you once more find yourself alone in the house.
Great. Yes. Perfect.

[CRITICAL SUCCESS]
After wandering back and forth around the house for another agonizingly boring hour, you finally have an idea. A thought popping into your head. Grinning, you quickly make your way through the kitchen and down the stairs into the basement. What are you doing sitting around and feeling sorry for yourself when there are still six different forms in the device on your wrist that you haven't had a chance to examine yet.
Standing in the center of the basement, you hit the activator of the device, a shiver of anticipation running down your spine as the familiar beeping fills the air. It feels like it's been months since the last time that you transformed, despite the fact that it's been only a day. Honestly, not even that long.
Click, click, click.
Around and around you turn the face of the dial, checking each and every one of the sigils on the device, before so slowly come to settle on one of the images.
You stare down at the image for a long moment, mind whirling about as a part of you wonders if this is the right thing to do. After all, you are supposed to be going through power testing soon enough, so why are you doing this?
It takes a moment for the answer to slide into your mind, but it is the only answer that there could have been. Memories of the doctor that was working with Clockstopper cross your mind. If you are going to have to deal with people like that, people who so easily look down at you...
No. You are going to know at the least the majority of what you are capable of before you go in, so that you aren't caught off guard by whatever curveballs that those scientists throw at you. With that thought dominating your mind, you press down on the dial. The world is engulfed in a blinding flash of emerald...'
And once more everything changes.
The first thought that goes through your mind is confusion - The world around you is so much bigger than it was a mere moment ago. You barely have time to think that thought before your second thought refutes the first. It isn't that the world has changed, but instead you have.
The world is no different than it was a moment before, but instead you are now a fraction of your old size. Those two thoughts are but the first few raindrops of a sudden deluge of thoughts and ideas, all of them slamming into your mind with the force of a raging typhoon. All it takes is a single glance down at your hands to give you so much information, more thoughts and ideas then you are used to by far bombarding your mind.
Even more thoughts than when you are Brainstorm.
Your hands have four fingers and a thumb, much the same as your own human form, but with pale gray skin. Your digits are long, thin, and articulate with an additional joint on each phalange. A touch reveals that not only is your skin supple and slick, it has a faint sheen of some kind of mucus, keeping your hydrated and unlikely to be captured by predatory creatures. Examining your hands just a hair closer allows you to see the faintest of pads on the tips of your fingers, the shape of which remind you of the pads of geckos. A thought brings forth the idea that species might be some kind of lizard, but a single breath is enough to prove that theory wrong. Not only do your fill your lungs with air, but you can feel the lightest flare of gills against your neck.
Not lizard. Amphibian. Turning to look across the basement, you try and see if there is anything that you can spot that would be nice and reflective enough for you to be able to see your reflection. A first cursory glance says no, but you aren't able to see much of anything on Dad's old work desk from here... Glancing down at yourself, you try and gauge your own height. Unfortunately, the difference is size and lack of items to compare yourself against makes it difficult.
Still, you need to get up to the table to be able to see what is up there that you might be able to use in order to get a good look at yourself.
Why don't you jump? Your instincts all but ask of you, and that is definitely among the stranger sensations that you have had since gaining the device on your wrist that has been completely restructuring not only your genetics but body by and large all the while somehow managing to keep a continuity of consciousness.
Huh. That... wasn't even a concern that you knew that you needed to be worried about, but even as you start to realize that it could be a concern, you already know that it isn't a concern due to the evidence in front of you. This... is going to take some getting used to.
You've never had a hard time thinking because you are too busy thinking the thoughts that you have already thought about thinking before. That thought didn't even make sense when you were thinking it, but now you've already thought the thought that you were thinking about thinking about thinking about.
Gah! You did it again.
You need to slow down.
Think one thought at a time.
You struggle to keep hold of your thoughts, and the whirling maelstrom that they are trying to form into. While you do still need to get an idea of what you look like, there are other things that you can do as well, things that you can do to try and keep your mind empty and away from overthinking everything.
Exercises. This is a whole new body, that should theoretically be capable of entirely different things from your native body, so you need to understand what it can do and why. The first thing that you try is to run back and forth across the basement, but it takes you all of three to four seconds to realize that this body is not a good choice when it comes to running anywhere for any reason. It isn't that you are weak, or that you are tired even after a few moments, but instead the fact that you have crossed pretty much no distance whatsoever.
Giving that idea up as a terrible one, you continue to jog across the room to the nearest piece of furniture. There only a couple of feet from the stairs is one of your Dad's tool cabinets. Grabbing hold of the cabinet's leg, you pull and pull and pull and...
Yeah. Pretty much what you expected there as well. This tiny form is no physical powerhouse. So... what can this form do? Glancing down at your hands again, you slowly press a hand against the metal and you can all but feel the Van der Waal forces interacting with the metal, and despite how seemingly weak this form is, you quite casually lift up your own weight. All things considered, hanging from the side of the cabinet doesn't seem to strain you in the least. Fascinatingly, crawling is actually notably faster than walking in this case, and it is only moments before you find yourself at the top of the cabinet.
Now that you are atop the the tool cabinet, you finally have access to the most important thing of all. A flat reflective surface to finally be able to see yourself.
You are... Very small. Glancing at the markings along the side of the metal cabinet, you are only just barely over six inches tall. It is so very hard to put into words just how absolutely baffling it is to be so small. Like... sure, Brainstorm is bigger than you arm, but most of that is bulk. He is around seven-ish feet tall, if you were to take a guess, but that isn't actually all that far off from regular people.
The same can be said for all the other forms that you have taken this far. The idea of something this small being a part of the device on your... well, chest in this form, is something that can't help but make you wonder why it is here.
What about this form makes it stand on the same category as XLR8 or Alka-Mist?
Even as you think that, there is a niggling thought at the back of your mind. From where you are standing on the tool cabinet, you can see down into one of the drawers. Inside you can just barely see the handles of some of your dad's tools.
CHOOSE ONE
[ ][Small] Examine the Dial Device
- This form has the best view of the dial device, and not only that has the ability to interact with the interface with two hands. Who knows what you could learn.
--[ ][Dial] Turn the Dial Clockwise
--[ ][Dial] Turn the Dial counterclockwise
--[ ][Dial] Fiddle with the buttons on the dial
--[ ][Dial] Experiment with the Dial's internals when the core is extended
[ ][Small] Dad's Tools
- The idea of messing with the dial device while transformed kind of sounds like a bad idea, all things considered. But now that you are looking at those tools, you bet that you could build something that could allow you to have a better idea of what you are doing with the device. Clearly this thing is manipulating your biomatter, so some kind of organic scanner would be useful...
[ ][Small] One giant leap
- On the other hand, if you have access to tools, there are a whole bunch of old and broken electronics in the basement. Who knows what you could do! You don't that's for certain!

We explicitly chose this form to figure out the omnitrix with. Building stuff is tempting, but if we get distracted it could be a long time before Taylor gets a chance to sit down and fiddle with it again.
SDM ain't gonna activate that easily, that would be silly. It activates when someone is trying to steal the thing and by voice command, if I remember correctly. It's been a long time since I watched the movie.

Specifically, the thing that set it off in the movie was getting a full face of a blast that was supposed to De-evolve everyone on the Eastern Seaboard to the point of being primates.

And I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Entities wouldn't let that shit go. The only one I'm vaguely worried about for this tbh is Bakuda. And maybe Bonesaw, she manages way more shit than she should.
It might've been said before, but activating the self destruct is incredibly hard to do on accident. For all the crap Ben put the watch through, it took a nuclear feedback pulse specifically designed to screw with DNA to trip into SDM. So long as we don't get a second order crit fail while jabbing it with power tools we should be safeish.
For some reason, I'm gonna figure that Asmuth wouldn't put the self destruct on the front buttons. We shouldn't be that wary except for messing with the circuits, and event them with some more base learning Gray Matter should be able to avert complete disaster.
