@Kadmus Would Shu Lin (our recruiter) be a possible option for people we can spend time with?

Also, do we need to set aside a block to check out the noticeboards, both for the available jobs (just to have a point of comparison with the garden one) and the sect rules, once we have 10%+ in Bureaucracy, or is that something that can happen more naturally, so to speak?

You can't currently socialise with Shu Lin, as she's not going to waste time on aspirants.

The job board and sect point costs etc. will not require time block investment to know. Once you get the appropriate level of Bureaucracy, I'll let you know what the options are.
 
10% is functionally literate, but might have trouble with more obscure language. It's more than good enough to get by, though.

While cultivation is a huge need, us being able to navigate the bureaucracy and the more esoteric aspects of the written word is also going to be very necessary. We should max out what we can where while it is available, as doing so later is likely going to be far more costly.

Technically, there's only one reading/writing lesson a day, so only a single block can be devoted to that. I'm not sure whether we can just practice by ourselves on top of it (and whether that would give us the same benefits), but you might have to clarify that with the QM, @CuriousRaptor .
 
Yeah, there's only one lesson a day - you can practise once you're at 10% Bureaucracy for 1% per time block.
 
I'd rather we didn't stop at 10% Bureaucracy, as, really, that's the bare minimum. We don't know how long these free lessons will continue, so why not take advantage of them to their fullest, meaning 25%?

I remembered something and decided to do a bit of editing for the post above, which I thought warranted this new post to explain/draw attention to it.

I added the 10-DoS-reached caveats in the eventuality we get to 10 DoS for either type of our cultivation (after all, dedicating blocks of time to them after that threshold is reached might be a total waste, or even dangerous) and I chose to re-assign them (and changed the plan name to showcase it) to "find ways to make the breakthrough safer" because that final roll is pretty scary, all with the risk it brings of setting us back to 0 DoS. I don't know if that's too vague, but I'm thinking we might have to ask around and/or consult the library, so I didn't want to needlessly narrow it down.

I just realised we could have started the final block with physical cultivation to take advantage of the 50% from physical cultivation lessons and then switched to mental cultivation for the second half of the week when mental cultivation will be at 50%
 
That makes sense, I'm happy to change the plan so you guys get the most benefit that way.

Alright, as I've been doing some rolls... what do people want to do when you reach the necessary number of degrees of success in your cultivation? Body Cultivation hit 10 after just 3 rolls, due to two crit successes in a row.

Do you want to:
[ ] Go for breakthrough, and just cultivate back up if you fail.
[ ] Wait and do something else. Tell me what it is you want to do.

From the frontpage, "You must move up Realms simultaneously in Body and Mind, or you are extremely likely to either explode or implode." So unless it is different when moving into the first Realm, we probably should not Breakthrough.
