current thoughts... i'm flexible on the control, perception, and swordsmanship options

Alright, it's been roughly an hours, so I'll open votes now. I'll answer any questions you guys have about the abilities and how they interact.

[X] Plan Outlast and Counter
-[X][STRENGTH] A Way to Optimize Your Limited Strength

I'd rather focus on boosting our offense instead of relying on Yoki boosting, or learning unarmed fighting.

-[X][DEXTERITY] A Way to Hone Your Reflexes

I prefer to boost our reflexes, lets us respond to faster opponents more easily imo, especially if we're out in the open.

-[X][CONSTITUTION] Physical Resilience
--[X][RESILENCE] Hardened Physiology

I really like being harder to injure, especially since it lets us boost our Strength/Dexterity too.

-[X][CONTROL] Living Weapon
--[X][WEAPON] Bone Constructs

I love bone powers, this should be a very versatile weapon in our arsenal, especially as we develop it further.

-[X][PERCEPTION] A Way to Make Better Use of Your Perception

I definitely prefer getting the most out of what we can sense right now. We can improve detail and range later.

-[X][SWORDSMANSHIP] Surviving and Waiting for an Opportunity

No-brainer imo. Going all out from the start is too risky, and we won't always be fighting together with other Warriors, so better to take advantage of our high Constitution and fight defensively, using stuff like our Bone Constructs for offense.

Reflexes, Physiology, Better using Perception, and fighting defensively all synergize pretty well imo, letting us better endure attacks and then take full advantage of an opening to do lots of damage with Physiology, Optimize Strength, and Bone Constructs.

Ok, I have a couple of plans that are based on the synergy of the blood and living weapons trees.

[X] Plan Razor Wire
-[X][STRENGTH] A Way to Leverage Your Strength Through Technique
-[X][DEXTERITY] A Way to Avoid Detection and Ambush Opponents
-[X][CONSTITUTION] Blood Manipulation
--[X][BLOOD] Corrosive Blood

-[X][CONTROL] Living Weapon
--[X][WEAPON] Razor Web
-[X][PERCEPTION] A Way to Make Better Use of Your Perception
-[X][SWORDSMANSHIP] Surviving and Waiting for an Opportunity

Ok, I have a weakness for the Razor Wire style of combat, besides that, I like very much the added the Stealth spec, which is pretty awesome in Claymore, blood tendrils synergize awesomely with Razor Hair since it would allow for much better manipulation of the razor wire, Edit: since the QM clarified a couple of things I m picking Hardened Physiology for its general utility, Changed to Corrosive blood to add extra damage to our Razor Wires and Defensive Swormanship to buy us time until we slice the Yoma with our hair

[X] Plan Bone and Poison
-[X][STRENGTH] A Way to Leverage Your Strength Through Technique
-[X][DEXTERITY] A Way to Avoid Detection and Ambush Opponents
-[X][CONSTITUTION] Blood Manipulation
--[X][BLOOD] Corrosive Blood

-[X][CONTROL] Living Weapon
--[X][WEAPON] Bone Constructs
-[X][PERCEPTION] A Way to Make Better Use of Your Perception
-[X][SWORDSMANSHIP] Surviving and Waiting for an Opportunity

This other plan is basically the same as the other one but focuses on the Bone and Blood Acid synergy, Our blood can dissolve almost anything that doesn't have our Yoki signature, and since our bones have our yoki signature we can coat the edges/points of those bones in our blood to multiply the damage tenfold.

@rdc30 Are the synergies that I describe on both my plans a thing, or I am making things up here?

Blood Tendrils is actually semi-redundant with Razor Hair because they both perform similarly and you get an upgrade later to control your razor hair, so adding in the blood tendrils doesn't do much for you. If you want to buff your Razor Hair, go for Corrosive Blood, since you can apply that to your hair and seriously ruin someone's day. Yoki Residue might look kinda underwhelming, but gets some pretty fun effects later on if you can get it into someone's body, which the Razor Wire facilitates nicely, especially since the Yoki Residual later upgrades into remote control and sensing through your hair vibrations.

Yeah, these two synergize really well together. You can also replace Corrosive with Yoki Residue for more utility like mentioned above.

Thank you for the info @rdc30 ...

Just a couple of things since the Bones would also be a part of our body, would the blood that we put on them last longer without coagulate?

And If we can shoot bones, can we charge those bones with blood to basically dissolve the yoma from the inside?

The blood coagulating isn't so much that it has a fixed lifespan, but since its cut off from your body, the Yoki inside gets used up and then it just becomes plain old blood that then dries out. And yes, you can coat or stick your blood inside a projectile delivery system and since its attached to a bigger reservoir of Yoki, it lasts longer. In fact, this is actually one of the powers from canon, if just slightly reworked for the blood theme.

Would a sword style based on countering the enemy via parrys, irregular guarding, half swording, etc be viable? Where we block then counter for decisive blows?

For narrative and mechanic reasons, I'm not going into that much depth, especially since most of the things you're fighting don't even use swords. If you want to run a counterattack build, I suggest picking Surviving and Waiting for an Opportunity.

-[X][CONTROL] Power Manipulation

Yoki Drain (Fangs) - Manifest fangs to further facilitate the draining of Yoki from your opponent. Can also be used to inject foreign Yoki straight into their body.

Yoki Perception (Eyes) - Focus Yoki in your eyes allowing you to better track movement and absorb scenes in further detail. Whether the rest of your body can keep up/react in time is another matter.

Yoki Infestation/Invasion/Corruption - While maintaining physical contact, infest and overwhelm the opponent's yoki with your own, allowing you to siphon and add their Yoki to your own. Bit of a gamble since it's largely dependent on whoever has the higher quantity/quality of Yoki. Best used to finish off weakened enemies for a small permanent increase.

Yoki Scream - Concentrate Yoki in the lungs/voice to unleash a sonic howl that damages and disorients opponents.

Some further ideas I meant to post (but forgot). Altered a bit to compensate for the update.

If you want to go full vampire, Blood Tendrils with Energy Leech is what you want. If you want to inject your Yoma juice into some the target, you should get Yoki Residue and one of the delivery systems like Bone Construct or Razor Hair.

Yoki Perception (Eyes) - Focus Yoki in your eyes allowing you to better track movement and absorb scenes in further detail. Whether the rest of your body can keep up/react in time is another matter.
This is folded into the generic Perception and Dexterity skills. Also, Claymores already have pretty great eye sight, so usually the main limiting factor is things blocking their field of view, which is why the Organization has at least one Perception specialists to do long-range observation and recon.

Energy Leech and/or Yoki Residue at higher levels feel these roles. Blood Tendrils also has an upgrade that lets you siphon blood and Yoki from your target to heal you. Synchronized Healing also has a reverse mode later on that lets you steal the other person's regeneration.

Yoki Scream - Concentrate Yoki in the lungs/voice to unleash a sonic howl that damages and disorients opponents.
Hmm, this one could be interesting, but I'll have to think about where to fit it. Maybe Partial Transformation or Yoki Disruption.

Bone Cage/Guard - Claymores have a single, glaring weakness: the incision that was made during the procedure to make them hybrid abominations. To compensate for this deficiency, your body has grown a single shelf of bone sprouting from the ribs and pelvic bone along the length of the incision - thus concealing and protecting their greatest vulnerability.

I was thinking about how the incision makes no sense and how difficult to believe it was that they'd keep a Claymore's guts from spilling out with what basically amount to large staples. Was thinking of how they should have at least tried to protect them with like... an inverse armored spine or something.

Hence this idea as the next logical step to protect her own vulnerability.

Edit: Imagine like an ossolized facehugger glued to her front along the incision.

I've actually considered a few variants to cover the stigma, but I prefer if that's just the one part you can't affect in any way. Keeps things on point thematically and it's a vulnerability you to be mindful of. You can heal the area if they hurt, but you can only heal it back into its original open wound status and you need to reapply the staples afterward.

Ok, I am still voting for both of my previous plans, but I am adding a new one that seemed really interesting thanks to what @rdc30 said...

[X] Plan Puppet Master
-[X][STRENGTH] A Way to Leverage Your Strength Through Technique
-[X][DEXTERITY] A Way to Avoid Detection and Ambush Opponents
-[X][CONSTITUTION] Blood Manipulation

-[X][CONTROL] Living Weapon

-[X][PERCEPTION] A Way to Make Better Use of Your Perception
-[X][SWORDSMANSHIP] Surviving and Waiting for an Opportunity

Basically, the QM confirmed that Yoki residue would allow us to control our enemies in the next upgrade, we only need a delivery system and the Razor Hair is perfect for that.

[X] Plan Razor Wire
[X] Plan Bone and Poison

The problem with pure defensive builds is that Awakened beings and higher tier Yoma have "You much hit this hard, or you do nothing" as a universal trait.

We're pretty much relegated to the role of distraction against them.
