Ben doesn't usually think that far ahead, but, yes, they can stick around. It's just that... well, the only time Ben ever actually uses his smartest forms to make anything that he wants to permanently us is, if memory serves, an upgrade to the Omnitrix in one possible future timeline which allowed him to "combine" two of his different forms.
Good good. Priority number 1 (tech wise) then, find some way of hiding the Omnitrix. Cloaking device or whatever, since at the moment it likely screams tinker tech not "weird ass watch" as it did in the original 10.
Yep. For those who don't know, there should be a giant robot crashing down near us... soonish. While Gray Matter, I believe, can beat it by sneaking inside of it and pulling out some of it's wiring (or, if want Talor to try this, reprograming it to serve us instead), that's... well, that is incredibly risky as it requires us to not get stepped on or noticed by it first.
And requires her not having a panic attack.
Also the risk of taking too long to down it is that it goes on a rampage near the camp, or worse
through the camp. Setting aside the likely casualties which may well exacerbate depressed, assuming we don't have Dragon heading our way already, that's likely going to get Taylor detected.
Point is if we assume there's going to be a combat encounter, there's a lot to be said for choosing brawn over immediate brains. Of course, that being said, if we're assuming a robot, then an electric super smart crab is probably a pretty good bet and IMO mid point.
@Lunaryon
1. Quick thing, clearly prowess as normal Taylor carries over to alien forms, but is this the same for aliens that enhance certain stats that are not as straight forwards? To use the obvious one, Taylor's highest stat is int, if she goes Grey Matter does she get her natural int + whatever boost Grey Matter gives. Course this maybe something that goes into the "experiment and find out" category, but figured I may as well ask.
2. Actually nother thing can you give us an idea of stat scale? For example Taylor has a base int of 11, by human standards how good is that, for a 14 year old?
Most of the time that Ben ends up using Gray Matter he's rewiring and sabotaging alien tech instead of building much, but in his first focus episode A Small Problem, Gray Matter was able to build a bomb nearly instantly (discounting for time collecting the random bits of alien tech and putting the pieces together)
Which I recall being very freaked out with as a child. Bombs are no joke and there's a reason we're semi salivating at the opportunities on display, especially having a form that can act as a manufacturing centre.
We do have a hole in the roster though, as we're lacking a dedicated tank as far as I can tell. 4 Arms or Diamond Head kinda thing. Gutrot will do, but issues of collateral damage abound and it apparently has pretty poor reflexes. While I'm sure we can accept being beat on while prepping a burst of knock out gas, I think a dedicated general combatant is needed.
