I'm gonna vote for
[X][Partner] Nox
[X][Style] Thorny Wall
Also I have a question regarding the name voting, if I see a name get suggested that I'd want to vote for should I go back and change this comment to include a vote for it, or should I just post a new comment stating that I've changed my vote to include a specific name?

Either edit that comment, or make a new comment with your whole vote. The tally program only counts the user's latest post with a vote in it when tallying.
I urge the people voting Nox to switch their votes if they prefer Shade over Dusk. Right now, it is 16 Dusk vs 11 Shade vs 6 Nox, so Nox is unlikely to win, but Shade might still be able to.

[X][Partner] Dusk - a creature of the darkness of day's end, a time of respite, recovery, and relaxation. Helpful, friendly, though somewhat pushy with regards to those injured or otherwise hurt.
[x][Partner] Shade - a creature of shifting shadows, hidden sights, and mesmerizing illusions. Tricky and playful, but think twice about trusting your eyes.
(To be sure, the previous vote had 45 voters, so a Nox upset is not outright impossible, but would require 10 of 12 of the remaining voters to vote Nox. Even if you add a few more hypothetical voters in, this is an unlikely ratio.)
The edgiest one, to further contrast with the local magical girls.

The most Shonen of styles! You have to start slow so your opponent have time to bust out their trump cards, otherwise the narrative will be on their side when they bust out power-ups/techniques while you were already going all out! He who reveals their final trump card last wins!

[X][Style] Pain Train- You might be a bit slow to start, but once you get rolling, there's no stopping you.
The OP has made it pretty clear that we're to select from the provided options instead of providing additional and unrequested ones so we can all see how this plays out.
We're basically the die results and spectators in a game with well defined rules.

Name: Argus
Style: Momentum (Pain train's a coming)
Partner: Dusk
As you walked out of your mentor's home at the edge of the Orostone Woods with Dusk along side you, you are suddenly overcome by a wave of vertigo, your vision blurring and when the world snaps back into focus, you find yourself in a strange city.
You appear to have lost some time as well, considering you left at midday, and it is currently dusk now.
You've no idea where you are, as you'd plan on going to Eckpool Harbor, and continuing on from there, but this place doesn't seem like a port town at all.
Argus: 4, 6, 9 = 1 success
Dusk: 3, 8, 10 = 3 successes
Something about this place seems off to you, but you can't put your finger on it. Dusk on the other hand seems to have come to some sort of conclusion as they stiffen suddenly before clambering up your back to get a better view (so they say).
Dusk: 3, 4, 7, 8 = 2 successes
You're about to ask just what is going on when Dusk speaks up, "We are alone."
Frowning, you look around the empty streets. Obviously there's no one around, which you point out only to be rapped on the head as Dusk continues "Not that, I can sense no other spirits, no mana, eidolons, daemons, or any other kind. We are alone. I am alone..."
Before you can say anything, Dusk's colors seem to run, their form blurs at the edges, and it becomes hard to focus on them. Dusk seems to want to go unnoticed for now, which you wouldn't mind if not for their 50 pounds upon your shoulders, and their seeming determination not to move.
What do?
[ ] Try to figure out where you are?
[ ] Try to figure out how you got here?
[ ] Look for a place to sleep, deal with this in the morning.
[ ] Food?
[ ] Try to find out why aren't there any other spirits?
[ ] Something else?
