yo can i get some root boys and root gals to grow some empty trees with me? i'd like to get 1 more empty tree this turn! we only need like 4 or 5 of us and thats if we are unlucky!
[X][Tree] Mind Tree
-When you vote for a Research or Communication action, an extra 1d6 will be added to the dice pool.
This can only end well.
You can also vote for your action this turn, I think?
root trees have 6 but I see what you're saying. Our Mind Trees are super spread out on their actions, yeah. We have 42 of them atm, and on average 10 voting for contacting the ship as their [Action] will succeed.
The issue is that there's more Mind-bonus actions than everything else put together, so naturally they're going to spread out over the set of possibilities. We Heart trees have only two legal options that use our bonus, Roots have three, and Minds have nine.
So, I just checked up on our current tally, and I seem to be the only person voting to communicate with the ship - but we need 10 successes to even pull it off. Can we get some more mind trees on this one?
[][Action] The Ship. Requires 10 successes.
We don't know what Mr. Burns is going to do up there, so I'd call it a priority. Success here could avoid disaster, or even open up fantastic new possibilities that we'd otherwise miss out on.
I miscounted in my earlier post and corrected it: there's one defense and one survival action for heart, no offense and seven growth actions (grow worm, grow forest, and five separate grow special tree) for root, and two communications and nine research actions for mind.
So far the empty veil research has attracted the most [Actions]; assuming everyone doing it is a Mind tree, it's currently at an expected value of seven successes out of twenty. Runner-up is the Elder Tree research, which has three voters, for three successes out of fifty. It's currently looking like researching the ship will get Focus (three autosuccesses), but only one action is devoted to it so far, averaging four successes out of ten.Well, we ought to rally on something, otherwise no mind projects will complete this turn.
Of course not, they're flesh eaters, not crystal eaters.(So obviously, it's better to approach the flesh-eating space monsters instead. Nothing could go wrong with this plan.)
The issue is that there's more Mind-bonus actions than everything else put together, so naturally they're going to spread out over the set of possibilities. We Heart trees have only two legal options that use our bonus, Roots have seven, and Minds have eleven.
