I want to use focus on researching the ship, and on erecting the shield because they have unknown success requirements - thus they make really good candidates for focus use.

i want to get to know the things living inside our forest before the stinky humans myself. We have actions and enough mind trees for yall to achieve both anyways if you vote for it. researching ship because unlocking a new upgrade tree will be important. collector tree because we def need those. However i think going triple collector is overboard when we have limited opportunities to make a good impression on the humans. going empty tree otherwise because of its low success threshold and interesting related abilities.

For comparison Root Trees will probably be generating 40 successes a turn. Collector Trees and Focusing on Growth actions is very strong.

I see no votes for shaping tree. I have deemed this branch of research to be suitable for future evil projects, so I decided to vote for it. After all, if we can modify the interior of our trees, we'll have more success developing weapons with which to wage combat, probably.

that math is correct, but it assumes that no Root Trees contribute their actions, if they do, then we can get larger bonuses faster. I am curious as to how Elder Trees might affect this math, but this seems like a solid plan.

Until something proves to be hostile I think we shouldn't show off our magnetic shield, that's pretty much our only trump card at the moment

Not quite yet.
For breaching one hundred initial voters, a Special Project, decided at random, will be made available on turn one! Ordinarily the result of successfully navigating specific possible Events, these Special Projects will, upon the completion of all steps, result in the growth of a Unique Tree! Unique Trees are either very powerful, or alter the very framework of the game! Be careful, for they are generally very fragile, and upon destruction are not as easily regrown as the rest of the Forest!
Pretty sure it's either the worm or the ship we need to get done for it personally.
