Have you consider that your petulant refusal to recognize the issue and provide adequate solution is exactly why you lost?
Lol gfy

If Rihaku says "MORE CON +s 👻👻👻 " in a spooky voice maybe you'll vote to nerf CON stats, next

If Rihaku told us that having too much constitution was a potential problem with real consequences, then yes I would seriously consider an ability that let us temporarily turn it down if we needed too. Listening when the QM says you've overlooked something seems logical enough to me.

But Rihaku, now that we can decide to be less charismatic, we can enter into social combat without any worries at all. What do you mean that the Doom of the Tyrant might make things difficult for a social strategy???

...looks like I am still salty.

Anyway, it's interesting that we can still hit the Walls, but given the warning about this society being able to detect Decimation it seems more important to move quickly.

Couldn't we try an learn more about the tyrant and then disguise ourselves as him making our tyrant procs totally normal as far as the populace is concerned?

Rihaku: Charisma is becoming an issue
Normal Voter: Hmm, maybe I should vote to deal with it
24D Chess Galaxy Omega Genius: Hahahaha how can Charisma be real, just walk away from Hunger xDDD Just close your eyes looool
And what will we do when we go past 40 Charisma and we are left with 75% reduction where we are still supernaturally charismatic and fry people's brain or get 0 Charisma and become Seram(and be at the whims of a bad Tyrant proc).
Spent more Arete on our "adequate" solution to make it not suck? We already have 100% charisma bonus and Edeldross is getting high as well. Soon we will pass the 40 Charisma mark and still have the same problem with a bad solution

No, we will have heavily mitigated problem which we can then further mitigate because Progression is nice like that.

0 Charisma pluses isn't the same as zero/Seram charisma. We know that Edeldross applies even without a +, as Rihaku said about our Luck, and Hunger's baseline is better anyway. And the Int/Wis/Manip will still help socially. And we can take off the veil whenever we need it. The draw of Sky Veil was that it solved the problem. The problem is solved.

Imagine spending actual, multiple years complaining about the effects the overwhelming beauty of a certain character had on our protagonist, but when suddenly the shoe is on the other foot we don't need to do anything at all and other people need to just take it, imperiously deciding all of the others don't merit our consideration at all. How...amusing.

Your fix for a solution that does not scale is to throw more Arete at it because "Progression". :???: :???: :???:

Teenager's horniness has no limits man. Arthur had +++++++++++Progression on that front

Perhaps the foot isn't dainty enough to warrant such fear!

Another potential benefit of Entrench: higher (though not guaranteed) probability of Interludes! With the teenagers your main channel to the outside world, you may be able to see that world through their eyes!

Wasn't your whole comedy act about us not following through on our choices tho?
We made a bad choice and now we have to fix it later when it does not scale. People thinking they can take that +10 Charisma 7 Arete upgrade without problem but at the end we will have the same problem due to the inherent lack of control over our Charisma loss. We effectively have 5 choices - full, 75%,50%,25%,0%. Where both full and 0% Charisma have issues. At some levels of base Charisma 75,50 and 25% will have the same issue - basically we will be too charismatic for baseline humanity. What then? Throw more and more Arete to justify the initial bad choice.

Also I wonder if there would be any opposition to taking RW - we know Gisena will have higher Charisma than us and she would also be a memetic hazard. If somebody starts "Muh Artifice" - why coulnd't we use it to avoid the issue and not spent 7+ Arete to fix it.

I am sure RW vote is coming in the next week so I am dying to see your argument.

That makes me even less likely to vote for Entrench. Teenager's view to the world would be warped to say the least

Tempting, but I want my new artifacts and magics more then I want amusing side character shenanigans. If we go entrench we'll end up spending all our Arete on Praxis most likely.

Man, convincing people Sky Veil was a good idea is pretty hard, given that choosing it removed the previously described problem this very update. The absence of a complication just doesn't seem to have as much of an impact. Or is it because the complication wouldn't have affected Hunger himself directly and seems just to be more 'popularity'? Deciding to make Aeira heal our liver had been far less controversial.

How can I say no to an Interlude, even if it's not guaranteed! Now that's some high-quality bribery...

[X] Entrench
[X] Save

[X] The Scenic Route
[X] Save

We're currently at 14 Arete. At the lowest end, we're likely generating 4 Arete per update currently. Once and Future costs 23 Arete. This means that, as long we could get a pick, we're almost guaranteed to have the funds to purchase it. As for the pick, could we potentially seek out worthy opponents to spar with*? By wagering uses of Ennobling for them or their families versus information, favours, introductions etc. we'd have a significant stakes involved in a way that's not purely gaming the Ring.

This would give us significantly more immediate power than ADS, comparable utility, guarantee safety against Bearic, accomplish the goals of the Scenic Route and free up our Arete to spend on whatever we like, while still having ADS as a backup in case we ever run into opponents vastly beyond our own abilities. If you think this is a good idea, please support this tactic so it can make it into the update.

*as per HoratioVonBecker's Combat Tourism write in)

Since Save plus Tourism is ahead anyway, discord discussion has made put my trust in this vote for now:
[X] Combat Tourism
[X] Save

Considering who we are and that our biggest worry is how we match up to these people, this is a good way to see that in the most direct way possible. Hunger is a genius in combat more than he is a social one, and putting things at stake may give us more information and rewards than if we just probed freely! Given the confident aura had even by normal citizens, I'm sure they would be quite willing to partake in some challenges. This basically takes advantage of what Hunger is best at and converts it into other gains! Very efficient.

More importantly however, if you are worried about not seeing picks for a long time should we decide to Save; well, your solution is right here! This may actually be the safer path simply because it does prioritize those picks. If we get 25 Arete, something fully possible given our boosts; we might even get enough to pick Honing as well! Hasn't that poor upgrade been neglected for long enough? It's thinking of going to a retirement home together with Pearlescence! Please, let us not abandon that poor upgrade!

We could trade away the Decimation Lens if any opportunity comes up (I doubt it would), it isn't vital to keep after we found this place.
The Curse of Decimation isn't going to stay sated forever after this. I think we should keep the lens and use it for future hunting. It's not as if it requires upkeep or anything, so I don't see a reason to trade it away unless we get a really good item in return.
