I agree, and besides, going full bore on building the meeting hall should give enough power and Hierarchy stats for us.

Maybe we could give them our full support. In the long term, this may be the most beneficial for us all.

The middle ground is not a bad option. Some independence, but there would still be a connection between Pitside and Huntcamp.
 
I think a layered system of local councils that sends representatives to a higher council will work well

We have plenty of Food and Building to spare, I don't see any reason not to give it were it's needed.

I don't think I've ever seen a decentralized civ before, so I think this will be a very interesting path to take. Not to mention, using a less authoritarian framework allows for our various settlements to notice and solve problems much more quickly than a large, unwieldy system. We also get to piggy-back off their ideas if they figure out something we can't.

I wouldn't mind either option winning, but being more decentralized sounds like it could be pretty fun.
