Star Wars the Clone Wars: A Padawan's Tale (A CK2/Adventure Quest in the Clone Wars) Complete.

Anyway... I hope you all like the update, and well... enjoy the battle when it comes.

More the fact that sometimes the Republic actively participated in genocide. Like when they sterilized Desevro or the Sith genocide.
Like is said, how corrupt and afraid the republic is, and how even a beacon of democracy and rights still do shitty things.

Desevro was from before the Jedi joined the Republic and was actually the reason they did.

To be fair (and not to say it was right for either party), the Tionese had been bombarding Republic worlds with Pressure Bombs (effectively Star Wars nukes minus the radiation), including Coruscant itself.

Which was the city planet we all know and love by that point.

It's kind of telling that the Republic went from glassing worlds as a first option to only doing it every other millennia or so after the Jedi joined up.

Err...Excluding the Pius Dea era, where they went right back to it.

Yes but the jedi were outlawed during the Pius Dea era. Having said that the republic has committed numerous genocides throughout galactic history and glassed a number of worlds, several of which happened just before the Ruusaan Reformation from memory, could be wrong though.

A New Life Arc: Christophsis 2

"What can I do to help around here Master Kenobi?" You asked as you looked at the Jedi master who was deep in thought.

Obi-Wan did not answer you, at least immediately. He was looking around on the front, with the clones, and then the crystalline structures that have been destroyed in the battle. Finally, his hand scratched his beard. "Can you take at the comms table, we might need it to try to reach the council or Admiral Yularen."

You nodded. "Alright, let me see it."

Comms Table Status: 1D100 => 36

You opened the main panel of the comms table and sparks flew, causing you to flinch and avoid some of the sparks as you removed it. "Ahh. Blast!" you grunted in disappointment. You looked at much of the parts, including the signal booster that allowed this to cut through most comm jammers and even the Separatist blockades. You saw that the insides, many of the important components that allowed intergalactic communications, were slagged.

"Well, unless we have spare parts for the entire comms table, we can't punch through the Separatist jammers and anything off-planet." You replied with frustration in your voice.

Master Kenobi shook his head. "It seems Slick left us one more problem to deal with."

"Slick?" you asked, not knowing if it was a clone or an engineer.

"A traitor," Master Kenobi stated. "He's the reason we are lacking in heavy weapons. Sans the heavy canons of course."

"Why would he betray his comrades like that?" you asked as you thought you saw a way to at least boost a signal. It might not make it perfect, but you might be able to use it to link up with Yularen.

"He wanted freedom." Master Kenobi stated. "He believed that the clones were nothing more than slaves to the republic, no better than the battle droids."

(Cynical Trait Activated)

You sighed. "Are they?"

You did not see Master Kenobi's face, but he certainly heard you. "What do you mean?"

"Well, for one thing, they have been created by the republic, paid for by the republic to be an army of professional soldiers. Roles that could easily be filled by its citizens, but it's not." You stated. "Two, these men are breed for it, like they are just droids with flesh and their training is their programming. Three… they don't have a choice. They aren't citizens, their products, equipment even, bought and paid for with government money."

"I know." Master Kenobi seemed to know something all too well. "But they are alive, and I still believe that when the war is over, we can help them adjust into more normal life without war."

"What makes you think they might be kept around, as a force to crush enemies of the republic?" You asked.

"There will not be any threat to the republic." Master Kenobi stated.

"Then they'll make a new problem, to justify the continued existence of this army." You replied. "It's how governments work."

Master Kenobi sighed. "I know. Too many times I've seen it happen." Master Kenobi gave a small laugh. "I think you and Kota would get along famously. He believes almost the exact same thing."

"No we wouldn't," you stated matter of factly. "Kota believes the Jedi should take a more active role in Galactic politics or at very least it's policing. Me, I think we are far too entrenched in it. If the Republic were to fall tomorrow, we'd fall with it."

Repair rolls:1D100 => 27

You threw your hands up in frustration. "There's nothing I can do here. He must have taken a blaster and blasted all the components to pieces, even if we had the spare parts, we'd have to gut it entirely to make the entire thing functional again." You looked to Master Kenobi. "How did this thing even work in the first place?"

"Anakin's patch job." Master Kenobi replied.

"This happen often?" You asked.

"More than I care to admit." Master Kenobi stated.

"The Patch job, or faulty equipment?" You asked.

"Both." He replied.

It was then you looked to the horizon and saw a stream of red coming towards your location. "Is that a shield?"

Master Kenobi looked out to the same field of red. "Oh no." He said before he helped you to your feet. "To the command table, now."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a ray shield, and it was coming towards your location. "The Ray shield is in this area and it is slowly expanding the diameter to keeping it just ahead of their troops." Master Kenobi stated.

"The Heavy cannons will be useless against that." the clone captain named Rex stated.

"We could draw the infantry into the buildings, turn our disadvantage into an advantage." You replied softly.

The buildings are great for sniper support and taking out enemy infantry, but the tanks were still going to be an issue. Especially if they aimed at the buildings and started to bring them down.

"If the shields going to be a problem, why don't we just take it out?" Ahsoka asked.

"Easier said than done?" Rex replied.

"I for one…" You could hear the hesitation within Master Skywalkers' voice. "Agree with her."

You could tell he had to swallow his pride as he said that. "Someone has to get to the generator and destroy it. That's the key."

"Well then, I think the two of you can go figure out a plan and tiptoe through the enemy lines together." Master Kenobi snarked.

"Can do, Master Kenobi." Ahsoka stated.

"I'll decide what we do." Master Skywalker stated.

Obi-Wan pointed to one of the higher buildings in the city that were still standing. "If Rex and I can engage them here, we should be able to make a gap in their line to get you through here." He pointed to a very flat highway that was a straight shot to the generator.

"Sir, without the heavy cannons our ability to streetfight is limited, even with the height advantage that the towers give us. They will march that shield over the canons, and blow them away." Rex replied.

"We'll find a way." Ahsoka replied excitedly. "Come on master, let's go."

Master Skywalker was not amused as he followed his energetic padawan. "If we survive this Snips, you and I are going to have a talk."

"I think they'll get along famously." You snarked. The two senior commanders looked at you with narrowed eyes. "You don't have any faith in them?"

"They have to destroy that shield generator… otherwise, we're all doomed." Master Kenobi stated.

"You have such little faith in them?" You asked.

"No, I think they will do it… just a matter of when?" Master Kenobi stated.

What do you do to Prepare for the battle:

[]Use the Force to Create Better Cover: The men need better cover if they are going to survive this engagement.

[]Talk to Master Kenobi, Rex, and Cody about Strategy: You think that there is a way to separate the tanks from their defending infantry…

[]An Unorthodox method of Tank Destroying: You think you can lift crystals from the buildings and use the force to disable the tanks… You just need time to prepare it. It will put you in great danger though.

[]Join the defensive line: The clones are going to need all the help they can get. If you can delay the tanks with them, it might really help them stay alive, and slow down their advance.

[]Write in

AN: Enjoy.

No reward without a bit of risk

You know what...fuck it. Let's pull something from the Anakin school of improvisation.

No guts no glory, we may also need to keep this entering for the force.

Nice that we got to hear about Slick even without asking about how things got so bad.

Best I can think of.

The thing with unorthodox methods is that they could bring an inspiring and ingenious success or a massive failure. Either way, I'm willing to throw that die. Btw, never saw the Clone Wars show or Movie (heard it was terrible) and haven't seen Rebels, so I'm going to get lost when it comes to the plot very quickly. I only know how Ahsoka looks and that she doesn't take shit from anyone, specifically Anakin.

Also hey @Magoose, nice quest you got there.

Speaking of movies, I haven't seen the last one, but I don't really get the waves of hate that the new Disney Trilogy gets. May someone here of the Star Wars fandom enlighten me please?
